Good day Jefferson Capital! I am reaching out regarding reference number ********** ($1,811.05) and reference number ********** ($724.48). I am a disabled retiree on fixed income facing increased health expenses. I want to fulfill this financial obligation but unable to do without a reduced settlement. Jefferson Capital has put in a writ of garnishment to my employer who is now withholding said garnishment. My issue with this is that I was never given the opportunity to setup a payment plan, nor was I provided the information for this garnishment prior to the garnishment happening. Not to mention I have no idea who the original creditor is. The tracking number for the certified letter provided in the documentation that was sent to my employer is a tracking number that has nothing to do with my address. I would like to see the proof that I was served with this notice. I had a loan with UPLIFT for $765.21. I made payments of $255.07 on 4/9/23, 8/14/23, and 11/10/23 totaling $765.21. Jefferson Capital systems is attempting to collect $255.07. This account was paid in full to UPLIFT and Jefferson Capital Systems has no right to a collection of a debt that is not owed. This collection agency has maid a claim to my transunion credit report for a sum of money slightly over $1,000. They claim klarna credit sold this debt to collections. I have never done business with either of these companies. I did not ever sign up for klarna credit. They did not send letters to my adress to explain these claims. I am not involved with this sum of money and will not pay it. I have sent a letter per the recomendation of the BBB requesting details of the debt claim. The only credit i have ever aquired is my *************** credit, federal student loans, and a capital one car loan. Any and all other debt claimed against me is false. My credit report states that this collection agency filed the claim November 2024. As a result of the damage from this false claim against me, my one and only credit card has slashed my credit limit to a low amount damaging my credit even further.Customer Answer

I called Jefferson Capital in regards to a collection on my Credit report. Debt occurred in 2010. Filed and placed in Bankruptcy in 2013. Sold to Jefferson Capital from the original company which filed for bankruptcy and closed in 2024. Now they are violating Federal in trying to collect a debt from me and not contacting me first. This debt is going on 15 years old, and had been legally taken care of. Attached is the order for Discharge. Conns is account number *******. Jefferson Capital Systems has placed a fraudulent collection for $3,440 on my credit report. I have never received any documentation about this debt. They claim it came from *******, but I contacted *******, and they confirmed this is inaccurate, in Jefferson Capital has provided no proof and is damaging my credit. I am requesting that this account be removed immediately for fraudulent reporting. They report fake debts without notice or verification. They intentionally target consumers trying to make large purchases. They fail to provide any letters or proof of debt ownership. They are blackmailing consumers into paying debts they do not owe. I have also verified info with ******* and filed dispute and they stated this should have been removed i have made over 50 calls and filled out a number of things to have this keep going with no info and when you call Jefferson no one answers you sit on hold for an hourCustomer Answer
