Our initial service with Eco Shield was July 12, 2025 . They charged $450.00 with a $250,00 discount. My credit card was charged $200.00. The treatment was for wasps and spiders. It was not effective. I was stung several times. I contacted Eco and a *** said someone would schedule a complimentary service. Never happened, Then I get a text we were scheduled for August 20. I was giving Eco a second chance because I was not pleased with initial treatment. I was charged another $200.00. At this point I cancelled our service August 21. I also contacted our credit card company to stop making payments to Eco Shield. I should not be responsible for the $250.00 termination fee which was presented as a discount,Business Response

Dear *****,
Thank you for sharing your concerns and for giving EcoShield the opportunity to serve your home. We understand your frustration and appreciate your patience as we clarify the details of your account.
Our records show that two services were completed: the initial treatment on July 12, 2025, and the egg-cycle follow-up on August 20, 2025. These services were confirmed through our standard 3-step sign-up process, which includes in-person review, electronic agreement, and text verification. While our treatments are designed to be progressive, we also offer a 100% service guaranteemeaning if pest activity persists after the egg-cycle visit, complimentary follow-ups are available upon request. We regret that a follow-up was not scheduled prior to your cancellation on August 21, 2025. As a gesture of goodwill, the $250 early termination fee has been waived and your account is now closed.
We value your feedback and remain committed to helping every customer achieve a pest-free home. Please dont hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.

A very pushy door to door sales person came to my door and said all my neighbors have been locked in their services (I'm in a town house and in a middle unit) for a couple years now, and that I'm the only one that isn't signed up with them and that he'd give me a discount because I'm a middle unit sharing walls with neighbors that have been signed up. This was NOT TRUE. None of my neighbors use their services... they just lied to me and made me feel like I had to otherwise it would affect my neighbors who have their place treated. They quote on quote "treated" my house and they said they'd clean up the spider webs etc... they in fact did nothing... there were still spider webs everywhere and I am certain they did absolutely nothing. After reading into them, everyone has said they had a horrible experience with EcoShield and that they are a scam. They lock you into a weird 2 year plan... and theres a $250 cancellation fee. I called customer service to cancel, they kept me on the phone for 45 minutes, trying to get me to stay and they started with, we will give you $30 discount on your next service, and I kept saying NO, and the guy put me on hold 5 different times to "go talk to their manager to see what other discounts they can give me" and they ended up saying they would just lock me in for 1 year (not 2), would discount me $50 for the next service and then instead of $150 every treatment, they'd lower it to $90 a treatment. No reputable company can do this.... the only reason why they're able to give such large discounts is because they are NOT actually treating the house for pests... they are a scam and they are threatening to send me to collections if I don't pay the early term fee of $250. They are a company made of misleading claims and lies. I am requesting that they leave me alone, and the early term fee be voided as they completely scammed me into their services, saying my neighbors will all be affected b/c I am the only one not using them.Business Response

We are sorry to hear about your experience, but this appears to be directed towards Ecoshield Pest Control, not us, EcoShield Exteriors. We don't have recurring service plans and we don't have termination fees, we strictly do exterior property restoration. We hope you are able to get your issue sorted out with the Ecoshield Pest.

I signed up with Ecoshield in 2021 after door to door salesmen assured me they could effectively treat my ***** problem, like they were treating my neighbors problem. *** had and paid for quarterly services since, including many in home treatments. In Sept of 2025 I asked for an in home treatment as I have done several times since 2021. For the first time they needed to send out an inspector to identify my roaches. Of course it was identified as a type of ***** their treatment doesnt cover and I was quoted $900 for a three part treatment series. I questioned this vigorously and it was reduced to $300 for two treatments (after Massimo called his manager). The lies and run around continued when I needed to reschedule my treatment and I started expressing my frustration with the company. I started to research average cost for treatment and learned $900 was way overcharging. A local team member called 10/10/25 to check in and offered to reduce my quarterly service by $20. I noted they still hadnt confirmed my changing schedule requirements and said I wanted to cancel my services. I was transferred to customer service. **************** tried to gaslight me by suggesting the type of roaches changed (they have not, I would know). He offered to reduce the quarterly service charge by another $20. Since the lies continued I determined another local company would be a better choice to fix my problem. I cancelled my quarterly service and extraTreatment and had to express my displeasure and frustration to 2 different people to do so, all the while being given contradictory information by the agents (so more lies). Ecoshield commits predatory sales practices where they lie to and overcharge customers for services that do not do anything to fix pest problems.Business Response

When my wife (who studied business law while getting her Certified Public Accounting degree) and I were approached by the EcoShield member soliciting their service, we made sure to ask numerous questions, verifying that there was no cancelation fee. My wife is skilled in knowing which questions to ask to avoid getting locked into services. We were assured that we were under no contract, and that we could cancel service at any time without additional fees. After a few applications of their pest control, we had not seen any decrease in the amount of insects on our property. Since their products were ineffective I attempted to cancel their services. Getting a hold of them was an ordeal, and the phone representative said that we were indeed under a contract but they dont call it that, and there was a $250 cancellation fee, or else I needed to use their services for three more quarters before I could cancel without a fee. I told the phone representative that I was lied to by their service salesman, and he admitted that seemed to be the case. He told me there was nothing more he could do. Their products do not work, contacting them is purposefully convoluted, and the entire practice appears to be a scam to lock people into an expensive quarterly subscription.Business Response

About a year ago, this company said that the lawn at my house at ************************, Denver, CO has voles. The ground is very lumpy so I presumed they were right though I also mentioned I saw rabbits. In June, a representative came to the property telling me that there had not been voles and that the tunneling was by rabbits. He said that the vole treatment was not effective on rabbits. In June I requested a refund for all the vole treatments. No response, twice. I received notice that they were going to schedule my next treatment. I said do not do the treatment until the refund was sorted out. Today I received an email saying that there had been voles (no proof offered) and that the treatment WAS effective on rabbits as well. There are STILL rabbits all this time. I wrote back saying well, the treatment did NOT work on the rabbits so I demand my refund in any event. I did not authorize any further services of any kind. TODAY the company proceeded with a service on my property without my permission and billed me for it. I had enrolled in autopay but had cancelled that. This company is deceitful and misleading. Worse, they ignore customer complaints for months on end and try to wring more money out of customers. I seek a refund for all the treatments and a cancellation of current invoice. They state a 100% refund guarantee however they do not honor it.Business Response

Hi *******,
Thank you for sharing your feedback ,Were sorry to hear about the confusion and frustration surrounding your service and communication with our team. Our records show that the Vole Subscription was canceled on July 3, 2025. The treatment used is designed to target a range of pests including bats, rabbits, skunks, snakes, and voles. The remaining balance on your account reflects the quarterly service on September 29, 2025, which includes coverage for mice under our 100% Service Guaranteethis means free follow-up treatments if covered pests return, not a money-back refund.
We understand your concern regarding rabbit activity and the conflicting information you received. Our goal is always to provide clear, consistent service and support.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Were committed to making things right and helping you achieve a pest-free home.

I want to share my experience so others dont go through the same frustration. EcoShield Pest Control uses high-pressure sales tactics, makes misleading claims, lies, solicits, and then traps customers in contracts that are (literally) impossible to cancel. They pressure you to sign up on the spot (they deliberately took advantage of my disabled husband). The satisfaction guarantee they advertise is not real. When I tried to cancel (over the phone) due to not being satisfied, they argued with me for 30 minutes, transferred me around several times, put me on long holds, and ultimately told me I would be penalized $250 for canceling. The representative would not provide their name, nor their supervisors name, and refused to let me speak with a manager. After I hung up the call, I already had an invoice in my email for a $250 cancellation feeeven though I was (and still am) COMPLETELY unsatisfied with their services.Instead of honoring their so-called guarantee, they fall back on hidden fine print. This is NOT how an honest business operates. If you are considering using EcoShield Pest Control, DONT! Companies that rely on lies, threats, and hidden fees to keep customers are not trustworthy. They should be ashamed of themselves. Im embarrassed to even know of this company.Business Response

We do not engage in high-pressure sales tactics or misleading practices. Our goal is to provide transparent communication and effective pest control services backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Hi *******,
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
We strive to provide clear and transparent communication with our customers, as we understand how important transparency is to building a strong and trusting relationship. To ensure clarity, our sign-up process includes a three-step verification:
A representative verbally explains the service plan details.
A copy of the signed agreement is sent on the same day, along with a 3-day right-to-cancel window for your review.
A welcome text is sent, summarizing the key points of your agreement including the service type, ****************** and cancellation policy. This message also clearly states that if you cancel after the 3-day window or before the end of the contract, an early termination fee will apply.
These steps are designed to ensure all terms are clearly communicated and understood.
Upon review, I see that you replied to the welcome text agreeing to the terms and conditions. I also confirmed that your account was closed as of August 8, 2025, which is why an early termination fee was applied.
We take your concerns seriously. If you can provide any proof or documentation indicating that our team member informed you that you could cancel at any time without incurring an early termination fee, we would be happy to review this further and take appropriate next steps.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,Customer Answer

My apologies in my delay in responding. I must have overlooked the notification of business response.
Here are my issues:
1. Salesperson stating you can cancel at anytime with no financial repercussions.
2. No email of contract. This was only done through text, was sent to me while standing in front of the salesperson who is still saying #1.
3. No ability to get into the contract to review after initial signing (in front of the salesperson who continues to say #1).
4. Deceptive practices.
Thank you for letting me state this.

In July, 2025, a Pest Person came to the house. He stated that a neighbor had cancelled their service that day and he had extra product if we wanted help getting rid of pests around our home. He checked the outside, even in the backyard and found several wasp nests, spiders, and ants. While the spiders and ants are of no interest, my son had just been bitten by wasps a week or so earlier. We really wanted the wasp and their nests gone. He stated that he would spray for the adults, remove the nests and spray something else to get rid of their smell so wasps did not return. He left stating he was going to get his products after I gave him $150. When the doorbell rang, a different person (******* ********) was there to "service" the yard. What he did NOT do was take care of the wasps - still flying around and the nests were still there. Honestly do not know what he did do.We called the next day and was told someone would be out to complete the job as promised. Nobody showed, called again in about a week, couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. Finally reached them at the beginning of August in which I requested a refund, however, I was told they do not do refunds and were "educating" me on how their services work. It was brought to my attention that we had signed an annual contract and in order to cancel our service, we had to pay a $200 cancellation fee. This entire transaction was based on lies: saying he would take care of the wasps, a different guy coming, nothing being done when called the next day, etc. They were deceitful in their presentation, promising things that were never delivered. Attitude with the gentleman on the phone trying to "educate" me and insisting there was absolutely NO refunds nor the ability to cancel without fees. I thought he was getting a supervisor to visit with but he just hung up on me instead.Business Response

Dear ********,
Thank you for sharing your experience. Were sorry for the frustration and miscommunication surrounding your initial service, especially regarding the wasp issue and the follow-up expectations. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify our process and address your concerns.
Our services are structured around a recurring treatment plan designed to break the pest egg cycle. The first two services, known as ******************* are scheduled 3045 days apart. The initial visit is intended to flush out adult pests from nesting and breeding areas, while the second targets newly hatched or persistent pests. Following these, ongoing services help maintain a protective barrier around the home. While wasps are included in our coverage, complete resolution can sometimes require multiple visits, and we encourage customers to contact us between services if they continue to see elevated pest activity. We offer free touch-*** as part of the plan.
We regret that your experience didnt reflect this process and that you had difficulty reaching our team. Although our agreement includes a cancellation fee due to the upfront discounts provided, were waiving that fee in this case as an act of goodwill. However, the initial service charge remains valid, as the first treatment was completed.
We hope this resolution shows our commitment to doing right by our customers, and wed welcome the chance to regain your trust should you need pest control services in the future.
Regards,

I was approached in my yard when I was outside by a salesman who spent a significant amount of time walking around my house pulling down spider webs and explaining their eco-serrvice. I was explained the annual plan and I did not provide a credit card at time of initial service. I signed an agreement but it was not explained that there would be a $250 termination fee if you cancel before 5 month. I was told there is a significant discount initially, and that they would come back any time there needed to be respray between services. I cancelled after 3 months due to the significant amount of spider webs, wasps nests (both more than the treatment began) and it felt like a waste of money. I was called a half dozen times saying they needed to talk to me in person. When I finally got on the phone, they put me on a 3 min hold while reviewing then asked multiple questions to try to keep me as a customer. I continued to say that I was simply unhappy and wanted to cancel. Then I was told there would be the $250 termination fee per my signed contract, which the sent to me 6 times. I feel this is an exorbitant amount to simply end a service that you are unhappy with.Business Response
Date: 08/06/2025
Dear *****,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear that the service didnt meet your expectations, especially with the concerns about spider webs and wasp nests. While your initial feedback on June 17 described the visit as amazing, we understand your satisfaction changed over time, and we genuinely regret that the results werent what you hoped for.
We want to help clarify both the service and the billing structure. Our pest control program begins with two initial ******************* performed about 3045 days apart. The first service is designed to flush out adult pests from nesting and breeding sites, while the second targets newly hatched and persistent pests. These two services work together to interrupt the reproductive cycle of pests, and subsequent quarterly services maintain a protective barrier around your home. If pest activity increases between those visits, we offer free follow-up treatments as part of our guarantee. We understand you declined that offer, but it is always available under our ongoing service commitment. As for the $250 early termination fee, this is clearly outlined in the signed service agreement. It states:
"While you may cancel this agreement at any time... if you cancel after three business days from signing this agreement, but before the end of the subscription period, you will be required to pay an early termination fee of $250." This fee is not a penalty, but rather a recapture of the significant discount applied to your first service, which was provided at a reduced rate in exchange for your commitment to a full subscription term. You signed up on May 31, 2025, received two services, and requested cancellation in early August, before the end of the subscription period. We know this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, but we genuinely appreciate the opportunity we had to serve your home. Your feedback has been shared with our service team to help us continue improving. We truly appreciate the opportunity to have served your home, and if you ever decide to give us another chance in the future, wed love to provide the level of care and effectiveness you deserve. In the meantime, please dont hesitate to reach out to us directly at ************************************************ if you have any questions or would like further support.

I am rejecting this response because:The discount presented to me was not $150 (vs $180 which is the subsequent service charges); although the contract states $400; this contract was on a cell phone and not easy to review. I didn't read this closely as the technician assured me the price would only be $150; the subsequent services would be $179 and there was no mention of a $250 cancellation fee. I feel this fee is a penalty and the business plan is flawed or there should be a clear presentation of the contract before requiring a customer to sign it. I understand it is my responsibility to read what I sign, I also feel it is a business's responsibility to allow someone to cancel a service if they are no longer interested in receiving it for any reason. The spraying done initially was no different than the next spraying so why is it so much more expensive? I have a small ranch 1/2 duplex and the time and product to service it is minimal.
Sincerely,
