They charge us $1,850 to run a Hydro blaster and only got 10ft of hose in. I requested video of the camera footage still no response I requested a detailed receipt still nothing. They reset out toilet and it leaks they cross threaded the water supply line to the toilet. They lost the caps that go over the studs on the toilet. After we told *** we needed to time to think about our options he got a crappy Attitude. **** never put on shoe protection to keep our floors clean and rugs. He drug a nasty hose through our house beating and banging it off our china hutch. ****** ******* is worthless as a manger, he promised receipts and camera footage. This is how this very YOUNG company treats senior citizens! We are only requesting $1,350 refund. Because the snake was ran 100ft so **** says. They charged $400 to simply remove a toilet with the wrong tools (channel locks) that's how they installed it too.

We understand your frustration and are happy to make things right. You are under warranty with us, so we will gladly re-camera your line at no charge to you. Unfortunately, unless video is requested at the time of service it is not stored on our database. Your invoice was sent via email and we can also provide a hard copy via the mail if you prefer. We apologize for any dirt tracked into your house, we are happy to come clean any mess left behind. As for the toilet, it was cross-threaded before we arrived. Again, we are more than willing to come back and provide the service you would like.

On Monday, November 19, 2024 I requested Anywhere Rooter to come a house we own in ******, ******** to unclog the kitchen sink for my daughter. Anywhere Rooter said that would cost $129 and they dispached their plumber, ****, who met me at the house at about noon. **** claimed he could not get his electric snake to clear the clog and it would only pass about a foot into the drain pipe. He continued to operate the snake for over 30 minutes saying there was an obstruction a foot into the pipe that could not be cleard with the snake. He then said he would have to water jet the pipe and assured that would solve the problem. The cost would be $1600! Then he dropped the proice and finally asked me what I would pay. I am a retired Mechanical Engineer and began to question why a snake would not break up a clog and why water jetting would be so expensive. He said Anywhere Rooter requires a camera scope after jetting, costing $500 for liability reasons and it was not negotiable. I decided to terminate Anywhere Rooter's service, gave him his requested $125 in cash (I was affraid to give them a credit card) and sent him to the door. All of this was witnessed by my daughter and wife. The following day, I was able to have ***** Plumbing run their electric snake ************************************************************* 30 minutes. Their charge was their standard $245. I feel Anywhere Rooter was fradulent in pretending their snake could not solve the problem, only to coerse me into giving them $1400 to get the sink operating again.

You are well within your right to get a second opinion. Our service fee is non-refundable as it goes toward the gas used driving to your home, diagnosis of the issue, as well as time spent trying to clear your drain.

I have a landscape company and hired Anywhere Rooter to install a gas line at *************************************** for a client who wanted a gas hook up for a fire pit. They told me they do this. They charged me $4,500.00 on 9-20-2024 to install this gas line. Afterwards I wanted to get the line inspected for the homeowner who was concerned about materials used. I was told by COS utilites that AR needed to pull a permit in order to do inspection. I called and they told me that they did not have a mechanical license but were in the process of applying for one. The customer is very upset that a gas line was installed by a company the did not have a license and is refusing to pay me the 20K he owes me, 4500 of which is for the gas line. They had to hire another company to come in and inspect. I contacted ******* and asked if he could give me a refund. He refuses saying he did nothing wrong and they had a license it was just expired. I called the ********************* and they told me they don't have an application pending for a license and are licensed plumbers only. I have filed a complaint with the Non Compliance team but feel like this company should at the very least give me my money back and they are a big reason this customer is not paying me. They should not be installing gas lines without a license. I am not in touch with the homeowner any longer and have no way of knowing if the line had to be redone as he fired me and hired someone else. I just think the right thing to do is pay me back for not warning me of this and operating without a license. He told me he has spoken to COS utilities but again I have filed a complaint with them also. Your helped would be much appreciated.

The work for that customer has been completed (including permitting and inspection) to the customer's satisfaction. The permit was not requested upfront, but was taken care of promptly as soon as we were made aware. As to our licensure, it had merely lapsed within a week of this job, unbeknownst to us, and we immediately reinstated it without issue.

    Complaint: 22540455

I am rejecting this response because: Anywhere Rooter installed a gas line without a license which in turn caused me to not be able to pull a permit and get the line inspected after the next door neighbors' landscaper pointed out some possible issues with the line installed. When the homeowner found out the line was installed without a license he was furious accusing me I could have blown up his house. This caused him to loose faith in me and not pay me the $4,500.00 he owed me for the installation of the gas line. Another company permitted and got the line inspected after I was fired. This  company was **********. Prior to this when I called Anywhere Rooter to try and get the line inspected in order to assure the homeowner that the line was up to code they told me that they did not have their mechanical license but were in the process of getting it and as soon as they obtained it they would get the line inspected. I called **************************** **** at ************ and was told Anywhere Rooter does not have a license in ************** nor do they have an application to get one. I encourage you to call them yourself and verify this information.

Installing gas lines is serious business and should not be taken lightly. They should not have installed this without a license or told me so I could make the call. The homeowner is not paying me and all I am asking is for my money back because their actions directly affected my ability to get paid. This would be the right thing to do. The line has been inspected but by another company not Anywhere Rooter as he indicated.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ***********

    Business Response

That is untrue. We have been in contact with Pikes Peak Regional Building Department on a regular basis since this job was completed and have an application pending. We are licensed plumbers and have had a mechanical license in the past which, as we stated, had lapsed and are correcting currently.

    Complaint: 22540455

I am rejecting this response because: they installed a gas line without a license. This caused the homeowner to mistrust the work that was done. Because of that, I was not able to get the line inspected, thus reassuring the homeowner that everything was up to code. He had to hire another company to pull permits and inspect the line and then did not pay me the $4,500.00 I paid Anywhere Rooter. I think they should take responsibility for installing a line without a license and therefore getting me in trouble with my client and refund me. They should accept responsibility for their error and refund me.

    Sincerely,

Called 7/15/2024 to clear a clogged toilet. Started at aprox $300 plus service call to clear the clog. $2132.01 later the tech was able to clear the clog. Was supposed to return on the 16th to perform the camera service that was already paid for but the tech didnt have a camera with him at that time. They did not show up until the 17th when I was not home. I instructed my house guests to have the tech email with details of what the remaining issue was along with pictures/videos from the camera so that I could see what further issues there were. I called multiple times only to be told the 3rd time I called that no such information existed after being promised it would be sent to me right away. Received a phone call from the service manager who is rude, continuously interrupted me, accused me of only wanting the information so that I could shop his quote around. I had not asked for a quote for his services, I have only asked for them to provide me information on the issue they say is still impacting my septic system. This company is not professional. The service manager should never interact with the general public. All I am simply asking for is the information that I have already paid for. It has been almost a month since the service. I have been patient, but yes I feel like I am getting the run around from the office personnel since i received differing information each time I called. Absolutely no reason for the delay in providing me with the information requested unless they have something to hide and are in fact not a reputable business.

    Business Response

Camera inspection is free of charge and was performed. Pictures and video are an additional charge and must be requested and paid for at the time of inspection, otherwise they are not recorded on the device. We are happy to come back and do another video inspection free of charge. At that point, if you are still wanting video footage and/or pictures we are willing to provide those at the additional charge upon request.

    Complaint: 22120528

I am rejecting this response because: I was told multiple times that video and pictures from the camera would be sent to me so that I could see what the camera captured. The tech did not show on the day that they were originally scheduled and when they did finally show, I was not home. It was discussed with the tech on that day that the information would be sent to me since I was not home when they randomly showed up on a different day. I spoke with the office personnel on different occasions after they put the camera down my line and they re-iterated to me that the information was available and would be emailed to me. Weeks went by without getting the information I had already paid for. Per the tech that was at my home trying to clear the clog the service that i paid over 2K for included the camera to show the lines cleared. Given the way that I was treated and insulted by the owner of this company for simply requesting the information I had already paid for I would not allow any member of this company back into my home.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******

I hired Anywhere Rooter to clean a shower drain. We agreed on the phone that the shower drain cleaning was included with the $125.00 service fee. During our first appointment, the plumber refused to clean our shower drain, contrary to the previous agreement we made with Anywhere Rooter. Instead he indicated a separate technician would need to perform the shower drain cleaning in a separate appointment. In the forthcoming 4 appointments, Anywhere Rooter would schedule an appointment, at our inconvenience, and then call hours or days after the appointment to explain that they couldn't arrive for the appointment and to reschedule. After the 4th time, we lost all confidence that Anywhere Rooter was scheduling appointments in good faith and concluded our time was being wasted. We then requested a refund. Anywhere Rooter, after almost a month's interval, chose not to provide a refund, hence this complaint. We seek a refund for the work we hired Anywhere Rooter to do, which they agreed to verbally, but were then unable to perform. We paid but they didn't do the work we hired them for.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/24/2024

The customer is correct in thinking that the drain cleaning is included in our service charge. We sent a plumber out as the drain was not his only complaint. The plumber fixed a leak in the bathroom faucet as well as recommended repairs on the shower positemp valve and backflow preventer which were also leaking, both were declined. The plumber did not have the correct cable for cleaning the drain on his truck, so we scheduled for a drain cleaner to come out under the same service charge which was already paid by the customer. He has very short windows of availability which has made it difficult to coordinate with our technician. We are still willing to clean the drain, but cannot refund a service charge when other work was performed at the time of service.

    - 5/16 Company was contacted to fix a drain. - 5/17 They recommended replacing the drain for $2400. With no plumbing experience I assumed this would be a normal rate and gave them a deposit without know what I was getting into or that there would a cancelation charge. I called within the hour and to cancel the job. Spoke with ***** who was very rude and told me that they would only be refunding $400 of my money. Asked to speak to a manager and she was very resistant saying "there is nothing more to discuss". I have never been treated so dismissively. - 5/18 ****** called me and left a message - 5/20 & 5/28 called and left message for ****** and haven't heard back nor has any of my money been refunded.

I am rejecting this response because: I was only refunded a tiny partial payment after I canceled within an hour of paying. This is unfair business practices and should be reported. Also, even with my tiny refund I still paid less to have a local guy replace the drain than what I would have paid.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as I no longer want to fight them. Basic facts, I tried to cancel this service within two hours of paying, their customer service was extremely rude and condescending, and they tried to charge me $2500 for a repair that I got done for $500. They have bad business practices and should be shut down. I will accept the response as I am not going to fight them any longer.

I agreed to pay to have toilet repaired. My 92 yr old mother called. My brother took charge when the plumbers arrived the afternoon Thu 9 May 2024.When they finished I paid by check, $307.43. Then it was discovered that the leak was not repaired. They returned in early evening. They finished and left again. The leak was not repaired again. After they left the floor was wet in an area half the size of the bathroom. The watee had to be soaked up with several towels and paper towels. On Monday 13 May 2024, a different plumber identified and repaired the leak at the cost of $60.The service was unacceptable. They left a mess and did not identify or repair the problem of the leak.I am taking this step to request a full refund of $307.43.Their actions lacked all professional care.

    Complaint: 21711237

I am rejecting this response because:
Anywhere Rooter returned and left the bathroom floor flooded.

The proposed fix was thousands of dollars.  You did not stop the leak when you came back. The plumber on Monday repaired the leak for $60.

You did not determine the cause of the leak.

You did not halt the leak immediately

You left the bathroom in a flooded mess.

Unprofessional and incompetent are the only words to describe your service conduct.

Your proposed fix was not a correct diagnosis of the problem. And you were seeking thousands of dollars.

I sent a complaint to the Colorado Attorney General and included the BBB complaint of May 2024.

I called Anywhere Rooter on the recommendation from a friend. I was originally scheduled for a Firday afternoon visit. At the last minute, they changed my appointment to the following Monday. When the plumber came to my house, he said it would be $250 just to take the toilet off. After looking at my issue, he told me I had a cracked ******, and this was "worst case scenario." He said fixing the ****** would be $2,500 because it was an extensive labor job and they would have to cut out and replace part of my subfloor as part of the work. The next day, two different plumbers arrived to fix the cracked ******. It took them 45 minutes (I timed them) and they didn't cut, replace or otherwise touch my subfloor. I was lied to and taken advantage of. When I called Anywhere Rooter to dispute the charge, I asked for an itemized receipt. I was told by ****** (who said she is the manager) that she would send an itemized receipt right away and ****** (the plumber who initially came out and diagnosed the problem) would call me that day. I never received an itemized receipt or a call back from anyone.Date of initial visit and diagnosis: Monday, Feb. 12, 2024 Date of repair: Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024

    Business Response

We provided ************ an itemized receipt of all work performed. We do not however provide cost breakdowns on any invoices as market value fluctuates constantly. The work performed was exemplary as evidenced by the quick repair made by experienced plumbers who figured out a way to fix the issue without needing to disrupt the subfloor as the technician initially feared may have to happen. If ************ was concerned about our pricing, she should not have agreed to have us do the repair.
