    Please read my review before you purchase this insurance especially if you are buying an used car. You all know pretty much all used cars will come with bad tires. I purchased an used car Jan 2024 from e ******* dealership. They sold me Sonsio Vehicle Protection for the tires. I am the person who never buys any kind of warranties, insurances, or protections whenever I purchase something unless it comes for free because I know enough that they will not cover anything. However, at this time, the dealership told me this insurance is different and they will cover no matter what as long as the damage is from the road hazards such as nails, screws, broken glasses you name it. I asked the person multiple times and he ensured me, so I paid $950. After 1.5 years, my rear tires got multiple nails and screws so I had to replace them. I sent photos to Sonsio as requested but they denied my claim even though the mechanic shop where I replaced the tires clearly stated the tread of the tires is at 7/32. Now they are saying if tires tread is below 2/32, they don't cover. Mine is at 7/32. Then they are saying the LOWEST PART OF THE ***** needs to be more than 2/32 so the whole tires itself needs to have more than 2/32 tread. They are saying the very end edge of the tires seem lower than 2/32 so they won't cover even though where the nails got through is at a totally different location of the tires. So just like this as I assumed, they ripped me off for the premium when they have 0 desire to compensate customers. Plus this insurance representatives are extremely rude. I dealt with other insurance companies and so far these people are the worst. DO NOT even bother to buy it from them. I ended up wasting my $950 and replaced my tires more expensive because I had to take my vehicle to where who would to claims for me when I can simply take it to ****** for better price and aftercare. Just FYI, this is my first time leaving a review on BBB. This how much this insurance is a scam.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Were truly sorry for your frustration and appreciate the opportunity to clarify what happened and how our coverage works. First and most important, our road hazard tire programs do cover eligible damage from nails, screws, glass, and similar hazards, as long as the tire is still in a safe, serviceable condition under the terms of the coverage contract.

    When your claim was submitted, we reviewed the photos provided and after you spoke with our escalation supervisor, we requested additional photos of the tires you believed should qualify. In the images reviewed, each tire showed at least one section of tread depth at 2/32" or below. Under the terms of your coverage contract, tires worn to 2/32" or less at any point on the tread are considered beyond serviceable condition and are not eligible for road hazard coverage. This standard is based on safety and is consistent across our programs.

    We fully understand that you measured or were told there was ~7/32" in other areas of the tread. However, the contract requires that the lowest measured tread depth on the tire be above 2/32" at the time of the covered event. Uneven wear can bring a tire below that threshold even if the center reads higher.

    Because we wanted to make absolutely sure we were evaluating your claim correctly, our supervisor offered to send you a prepaid shipping label so we could inspect and measure the tires in-house at no cost to you. This would have allowed us to validate the tread depth measurements and confirm coverage eligibility one more time. We understand you chose not to send the tires in, and we respect that decision.

    I bought this "****" policy when I purchased my vehicle. Sonsio was quick and efficient with both a claim for a **** in my windshield and with a small dent. Highly recommend.

    So I have a warranty policy with Sonsio I have a *** X5M version.I purchased the extended warranty after the first three years of owning it and I would rate their coverage as excellent.I just had a front brake pad replacement as well as some other items.While I thought it was a little expensive when I bought it, I am finding one and a half years later that it was an excellent purchase and it is excellent coverage and I would do it again

    Sonsio was chosen by my insured auto paint coating company to take care of pine sap that I wasnt able to remove. They offered to come to my residence, they did an excellent job and took care of me promptly and professionally.

    I got a warranty through ***** for my windshield and it turned out that they passed it to this company. I called ***** who told me to call this company. No one would answer when I called and it usually took several days for them to respond via phone or email. I was then sent to ********, which was fine, but the instructions given to me about what I needed to do were not clear. ******** was able to recalibrate cameras, but I was told by Sonsio that I would have to have cameras recalibrated. I also had to go back to ***** to get a coating that goes on the windshield after the new windshield is installed. Everything took time and instructions were not clear. I'm wondering how many people actually work for Sonsio.

We understand how important it is to have clear communication and a smooth resolution, and its disappointing to hear that we fell short of meeting your expectations.

    After reviewing your case, we see that you first contacted us on 12/20/2024 to start your windshield replacement claim. We requested a photo of the damage, which we received the same day. On 12/27/2024,we attempted to reach you by phone, leaving a voicemail, and followed up with an email to let you know we were ready to proceed with scheduling. You returned our call on 12/30/2024, and we scheduled the replacement with Safelite for 1/2/2025, including the necessary ADAS recalibration as mentioned in the email we sent. You were also advised to contact your dealership for the chemistry reapplication on the new windshield.

    We regret if you felt that the instructions provided were not clear. While Safelite handled the recalibration, our intent was to ensure you were aware of all steps required, including any dealership-specific processes like the windshield coating.

    We value your feedback. We are reviewing this case internally to identify areas for improvement. A lead will be giving you a call directly to go over any further questions you may have.

    Sonsio is a 3rd party vendor for Good *** Tire and Wheel protection policy. They mislead that information when it comes times for a claim. Good *** passes you off to Sonsio, once you submit a claim to do their dirty work for them. Who then request information that may be needed but not required to be able to deny your claim. Its insane the information they want, like 6 different photos of a blown out tire, pre authorization from Sonsio when they arent even on Good *** card for Emergency Tire Hazard. And they expect all that while your in a high stress dangerous situation along the side of the freeway and to also keep the tire. I dont know where they expect me to keep a Class A bus tire, but also one of the reasons the claim was denied. I didnt provide enough photos of the blown out tire and I didnt keep the tire and I didnt get pre authorization from Sonsio. They refer you to a brochure page two like paragraph 27 that Ive never seen. Also they will only pay $500 per event. So even if you blow out two tires or have additional damage the max is $500. The value, experience and service is horrible and if I could give no stars I would. Dealing with ******* ********????Supervisor, Tire Operations *** Certified Direct: ************ **************************** Has been nothing short of disappointing experience and I will never buy and product or service that is 3rd party backed by Sonsio again.

    We see that you purchased a new tire on 11/26/2024. We received your invoice from Good *** on 11/29/2024. Sonsio opened a claim and reached out to you as a courtesy to see if we could verify the information needed for the claim. The terms of the policy require customers to contact ********************** for prior authorization before replacing a tire, as well as to maintain possession of the damaged component for verification. Unfortunately, even without your contacting us for pre-authorization, we did not have the ability to verify the required information due to the disposal of the tire. This made the claim ineligible under the terms of your coverage.

    We understand there may have been some confusion between the Road Hazard Benefit and the Emergency Roadside Assistance Benefit. Weve already provided links to the coverage details to help clarify the differences and explain the requirements further.
