Excess Telecom. This company won't remove my info from their database despite the fact that I've never even heard of them until they started texting me. Here's one of their messages: "Excess Telecom MSG: To keep your service, connect to the internet from your device using data (not WiFi) once per month. Or reply YES to this text to keep your service. Reply STOP to opt out." I want them to stop it already. Remove my number.Business Response

On Wednesday May 29th, 2024, I received a text message as seen in the documents that were uploaded. I have never signed up with this company. I have no knowledge of this company. I have never spoken to a representative of this company. And from what I have gathered through internet sleuthing, employees create accounts and use verified phone numbers in order to receive full commission and compensation. I want my phone number removed from whatever account they've connected my cell phone number to. I am not interested in the services they say they provide. I want my cell phone number removed from whatever fictitious account has been created.Business Response

On 05-28-24 at 1:25 PM EST, I was contacted by ******** from Excess Telecom via a text sent to my private, unlisted number, saying to text her back when I want a phone and tablet. I have never contacted this company before, nor do I intend to do business with them. I've read up on this company sending out text messages and have noticed that they have many complaints regarding this issue. They seem to have a history of assigning random phone numbers to new accounts so as to get undeserved commissions. I'm not now, nor will I ever be a customer of theirs. I would like my number and any other contact information that they might have for me removed from their system immediately. I read online that the only way to do this is by filing a complaint through the BBB. These people need to be stopped and properly fined by the ****Business Response

The company contacted me on March 15th after I filed my initial complaint on March 7th about their representative using my identification fraudulently to transfer my *********** services to this company. In an email from Excess Telecom, they apologized and said they would send me a $30 check within two weeks to compensate for my ACP April credit loss. Therefore, I closed the complaint with the Better Business Bureau. My excitement was piqued when the company offered to do the right thing, so I sent an email thanking them and providing them with my physical mailing address. However, the check was never mailed. Numerous emails have been sent and numerous phone calls made to find out the status of the check and every time, they say the same, the check will arrive in two weeks. and phone calls have been made to find out if the check has been mailed and they say the same thing, you'll receive the check in two weeks.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. After getting a sincere apology and an offer to compensate me for the credit that I missed in April, I received a $30.00 check from the company, it took longer than expected. I realize they weren't required to send me anything, but they kept their word. It's really good to know that they stand by their word and I truly appreciate it.

I have been receiving an exorbitant amount of phone calls and texts from Excess Telecom after I have already told them via text as well as over the phone that I do not want to continue service with them and to please stop calling. The tablet that I received does not work so I do not use it and do not trust using their service. I have not used the service in over 2 months yet they still tell me if I want to keep my service I need to sign in to my account or the message stating that my plan is about to be cancelled due to non-usage. I DO NOT WANT THE SERVICE. I DO NOT WANT TO BE CALLED 10+ TIMES A DAY!Business Response
