I did two projects with this company at my house. That alone means something. ****, the representative, was very helpful throughout the process and always available for my questions. I installed new energy efficient windows and i am happy with the way it turned out.

Beware of this company & the "5 star reviews!"

My projects have been a nightmare from the get-go. In addition, this company price-gouges on low-income/ middle-class people and absolutely REFUSE to give ITEMISED LISTS of where the money they're charging you goes, and makes incentives for positive feedback for online reviews. This is evidenced by the sheer number of newer accounts that post 5-star reviews that have little to no other posts in their history.

This alone should make you question the authenticity of every review on this site, as well as others. The total costs of my projects are well over x2.5 the price of others from LOCAL, SMALL BUSINESSES, with their own contractors on THEIR PAYROLL! NOT SUBCONTRACTED WORKERS THAT CANNOT COMMUNICATE!

All of the subcontractors were dressed I tattered clothes, didn't speak ************** had to have them REDO their work MULTIPLE times across this project due to mistakes, poor workmanship, or language barriers. In addition to that, they charged me for services and materials that I had CHANGED in the design process and no longer needed and the project manager "****" told me "too bad, it's already done."

In addition, they sold this project to my mother as being a government ******* with a "low-interest" and it turns out that it was a predatory loan with a *****% INTEREST RATE! In what world is that considered "low interest?!"

Do NOT trust these people, they will LIE & DECIEVE to get you to spend your money, or take out loans so they can get paid. **** and ****** are the two snake-oil-salesmen I had the misfortune to deal with.

In addition, every time I had a meeting, "******" the "*******" was NEVER on time! He was ALWAYS ***** minutes LATE! I run my own business, and have things to do, and time is important! Also, he has a knack for playing stupid whenever problems arise and has no issue letting poor quality work pass ******* and have people sign off on it as "acceptable."

After being able to get a hold of Tristin we were able to address all of his concerns. Main one being the terms of his finance. We apologized for the inconvenience and tried to step in immediately to see how we were able to help the client and the finance lender find better terms.
We sent our field supervisor out there to go through the different lenders and their programs, that could better serve him with his current credit at the time being. The rates and terms are not a decision that the company is able to make, we're just a third party that helps the customer get the best rates possible.
We went back and got him to do an additional loan so we can split up the amounts so that would lower down his payments. Unfortunately, due to his credit, not all of it was able to be done and some interests are still high. Client understood since we succeeded with some beneficial changes.
As far as the workmanship of the work that was done, when we arrived we were told the financing was the only concern. We still checked the job workmanship and if any repairs were needed, although couldn't find any errors as well. All other inconveniences with time management, workers not being able to communicate with him, or thoughts of us trying to scam we apologized for. Customer service is our number one priority and we let him know to give us a call directly if need be so we can handle any concerns or issues immediately.
We also explained to him his claims on "fake reviews" is not true, we are just lucky enough to have many of our projects and homeowners willing to vouch for us. The company and client did come up with a settlement before us responding back to this review and client mentioned he would take down the review if possible.

******** ******, of Build for You Remodel, promised to upgrade my kitchen, master, garden and solar, and a whole list of other smaller things around the house. 4 months later, only the solar is complete, and I have been left with an incomplete shower with no plumbing and electrical and kitchen cabinets with no doors, no shelves & no plumbing and electrical... the house currently is in complete disarray and a disaster. Here's how it all started.
    1. He came to pitch and helped himself to the fruit from my trees without asking.
    2. He argued with me about how to how add concrete to the shower (older method but effective and less prone to leak) rather than use concrete walls (faster, easier, cheaper.. and less effective and PRONE TO LEAK in the long run).
    3. His workers left garbage in master closet for 2 months.. I finally removed this garbage myself.
    4. His tile guys installed tile in my kitchen TOTALLY CROOKED and were total jerks to work with. I had to spend that evening ripping it up and getting it fixed.
    6. I gave him examples of the kitchen countertop so that he could get them. Silence... I finally went to a countertop fabricator and did it myself.
    7. He NEVER ordered any materials and supplies, except for bathroom tile.. which was not enough and caused delays. I ordered everything on my own. He doesn't know how to do this well.
    8. His electrical guys left holes in the car charger outlets, installed upside down flip switches, left holes in the walls that sat in my house for a couple of weeks before I fixed them myself..
    9. He threatened to put a lien on my house after I fired him to pay MORE than the full amount owed.. for a less than half finished kitchen and shower. This was AFTER I gave him a $47,000 to start the shower and kitchen job. He asked for $33,000 more - AFTER I fired him.
    10. ******** said he was the owner of Build for You.. He's a project "manager."
DO NOT HIRE - he will destroy your house, is a poor communicator and will take your money!
