    I deeply regret enrolling in Freedom Debt Relief. When I signed up, I was assured this program would help reduce my debt and that the likelihood of legal action was minimal. Nearly three years later, one of my creditors filed a lawsuit against me. The debt was $1,932 when I enrollednow it has ballooned to $2,995, and the settlement I was offered, with the "help" of ******** law, who has been unwilling to answer any of my questions, is $2,550. Thats a 32% increase over the current balance, and more than 50% higher than my original debt. Ive made every payment as agreed, and yet Im worse off than when I started. To make matters worse, I am expected to make an additional deposit to cover the entire settlement or increase my monthly deposits to FDR by an additional $688 per month for the next 3 months. If I had that kind of additional money, I would never have signed up for this program to begin with.The few settlements Freedom has negotiated so far have also been incredibly highmostly over 70% of the original debt. Thats hardly what I was led to believe when I signed up. At this point, I feel stuck. Because Im three years in, I cant safely leave the program without risking more lawsuitsbut if I could walk away without that threat, I absolutely would. In my opinion, this is a misleading and predatory program that does not deliver what it promises. I feel misled, frustrated, and extremely disappointed.
