    Had money sent to My Venmo account 500 usd. Ive never used Venmo so thought it would be easy as all the rest. My depositor only had Venmo so I gave it a shot. I was sent the money for my bills and living money. Friend in need. I tried to withdraw money into my bank accounts both instant and ach transfer only for Venmo to give an error message. I linked my account through Plaid thought everything would be easily done bc all the rest are easily done. Tried all i could bc I was desperate for the money that was loaned to me Not Venmo. I purchase crypto Litcoin absolutely no problems Im guessing because Venmo can make money off that and send to my external wallet to cash out that way!!!! NOPE AGAIN. VENMO WONT LET ME. So I tried to even send it to my PayPal account nope ********************** wont let me. So Im ****** at this point I sell the crypto USING VENMOS APP. Thinking instant just like Ive done 100 times on PayPal. Keep in mind Ive done the *** verification too they required. NOW THEYRE SAYING MY PROCEEDS FROM THE CRYPTO SALE MIGHT BE AVAILABLE IN 7 days. I needed the money in the worst way but Venmo takes it in their hands to hold MY MONEY not theirs. They are liable for this money they said theyre protecting my account but have not reached out to me as soon as it happened like good caring businesses do. Ive been talking to the worst customer support chat team members Ive ever seen they all tell me the same scripted BS. I need my money NOW JUST LIKE I DID YESTERDAY 9/6 not 9/11 ETA availability. Cmon BBB SHUT THE A******* DOWN TAKE A STAND FOR US LITTLE GUYS AND QUIT LETTING BIG BUSINESS TAKE OUR MONEY OR HOLD IT IN THEIR BANKS TO MAKE PROFITS WHEN WE NEED IT MORE THAN THEY DO

    Venmo claims to have transfered my money to my checking account at ****************. **************** has not received the funds. Venmo has been promising me a tracking number to verify their claim to have transferred these funds since 8-30-2024. Every time I request this info I am told in a form letter that it is being worked on. It has now been over 10 working days and no resolution in sight.

    A transaction occurred on 8/12 between two family members for $1,000. The receiver did not expect these funds, and the sender sent them to a Venmo account that had a small amount in collections. The receiver had filed for bankruptcy prior to this transaction and intentionally avoided using the account. ********************** has withheld the funds in an attempt to collect on a debt protected by bankruptcy. Despite contacting Venmo and being given three weeks to resolve the issue, no resolution has been achieved. Both Venmo and its parent company, PayPal, have been unhelpful.We are now seeking legal representation and will be reporting this grievance to the appropriate institutions for investigation. We have consistently respected Venmo's request for time, but we have received no answers or timelines for resolution. These funds were intended to assist a school counselor and are being illegally withheld by a company with no right to do so.We have emailed and called both PayPal and Venmo, but they have not provided any further processes or methods for communication, suggesting that the system is not designed to be streamlined or consumer-friendly. A review of the end-user agreement shows no indication that PayPal, DBA Venmo, is above consumer protection laws.A motion for violation will be sought out.

    created a venmo account this morning. was given moeny from my parents this morning. Couldnt get the money transferred to my bank called what was supposed to be a venmo service representative was convinced to give my venmo balance to another account that was supposed to be a "ghost account" and was scammed out of money. Called venmo and was told the transaction couldnt be reversed at this time despite being less than an hour ago and created a "dispute". was told it may take up to 10 days to resolve the issue depite having all my money stolen.

    On Wednesday, I received an email that my venmo account was suspended due to suspicious activity. My venmo account is rarely used except to transfer money from my gf and I got my Celsius payout there. My account is under lock and key. They told me someone tried to create and account with my banking info. They required me to provides my passport. Once I did that. They required a photo of me holding the passport and demanding a statement for an account I have no idea about. They are scamming me and stealing my crypto. I asked for the evidence why my account was locked and they could not provide it. I have provided everything they request and my account is still not unlocked. This is unethical and stealing. I recorded the conversation with the supervisor who told me information she was not supposed to. While she was last me on the phone. It was the worst customer service I have ever had.

    2. Explain why this happened to my account. I changed my phone number a few years ago. I had a similar issue with you and the account tied to my old number should have been deleted. Regardless, this is what you are fraudulently using to suspend my account when I have recorded phone calls with you saying that account was closed years ago.

    Someone is buying something from me. They told me that the buyer had to send another $250 and I had to refund them $250 to get a certificate for my account. We have done that and they will not release our funds

    I was emailed at 12:39am notified my account was suspended for unusual activity but there is none. The email asked me to upload proof of ID and I did immediately. I contacted customer service but was told it would take at least 5 business days before my account could be viewed. This means I have no money to buy food, gas, or pay bills. I want my account reactivated immediately.

    7 Days ago my account stopped letting me send payments. No alert as to why. I have called into Venmo 5 times. Each time I am told that there is nothing wrong with my account and that your security system has flagged the transaction for unknown reasons. I am told to try again in a couple hours or to use your competitor's to complete the transaction. I tried again 24 hours later a couple of times and it still does not work. 7 days and counting. Nobody at venmo has any explanation. I have made over ******************* the last 6 months with zero problems. I set up all my business on venmo. Now I cant use it and nobody at venmo will do any hard research to find out what the problem is. I have 4 different payment sources so it's not my bank or credit cards. This needs to get resolved as I also have an open claim in venmo.

    On August 17, an unauthorized transaction of crypto currency was posted to my Venmo account. $240 of the $320 I had kept in the account for future use was used to purchase the crypto currency. I immediately began emailing Venmo to report the incident. I disputed the claim as unauthorized on August 17 from a personal email, and then again from the email address associated with my account. They suggested I reset my password i case it was hacked- and I did so immediately. On August 19, they denied my claim and said it was consistent with my account-even though I have never purchased crypto currency before and do not understand how to use it. I continued to reach out daily through email to ask them for the documentation they used to make the decision, and they have not sent it. They offered that information in the denial email, and subsequent emails, but when I used the link to request the information, they do not respond. I have sent 7 requests for the documentation. I called the company to appeal on September 2. The representative filed on my behalf. This appeal was also denied. I simply wanted them to revert my crypto currency back to cash so I could transfer the funds to my bank and close my Venmo account. I have spoken to two representatives and sent details to them over and over again through emails. The crypto currency that was purchased appears to be a paypal thing-which is a company associated with Venmo. I feel they may be doing this themselves and will not refund because they are responsible.

    Hello I was on my Venmo account recently & saw 2 payments to someone I do not know. I filed a dispute (VM-R-NUU-539951713) against someone named **** ********, which got denied. I then filed again against this same **** ******** VM-R-TFJ-*********. Venmo is not doing anything to assist me, I have asked repeatedly to escalate this / appeal it but no acceptable replies have been made.
