Back on August 15, 2023 I was charged a ****** renewal fee for McAfee anti virus software for a **** XPS 13 device that I was no longer in possession of. I had previously attempted to cancel the services, however, the customer service agent I dealt with seemingly failed to follow said instructions. I have since called into McAfee 4 times regarding this matter. Supposedly because I did not apply for the reimbursement within their 90 day policy window, they refused to reimburse me. After I pressed further, they supposedly escalated my case to 'tier 2 support' and promised that I would receive a call back, however, no attempt to contact me was made. I called in again a week later and they once again promised to have 'tier 2 support' contact me, but failed to do so.Business Response

I purchased a 5 year computer security plan from McAfee. I paid McAfee for a 3year subscription and it is not up untill 12/24/2024 for two days now i get a notice that my subscription is no longer good and I have 100 breach's and that i need to pay them again B4 I can be protected. This is not right, I am getting " your computer is in danger" and " your PC is at risk " Making it impossible to use. My **** 4568 is being charged $7.99 monthly by vendor McAfee Safeconnect for the past year. I have not authorized this charge. In November of 2023 I received an email notification that ******* antivirus coverage was about to expire. I believed that it was a way of renewing my subscription through Staples, as that is how I initiately had obtained ******* coverage. It was not a renewal notice ; it was a solicitation directly from *******. I renewed my coverage with Staples. Once I did that, I cancelled coverage directly through Mc Affee, and was assured that there would be no charge and that they were aware that I had renewed my ******* coverage through Staples. Since then, Mc Affee, for more than seven months has been sending notices that ******* antivirus coverage has expired and threatens to cut off coverage. At times they freeze my computer system so it does not operate and threaten that unless I choose to renew through them or accept no virus coverage, I will not be able to restart my computer. Staples is trying to fix this situation, but the ******* system continues to threaten to cut off the coverage although I paid for it through Staples, but ******* continues to freeze my computer.Business Response
