      I received a notification that my SOFI Debit card was changing banks - the problem is I never requested nor received a SOFI Debit card. I went to the SOFI website and found an account under my email address using the forgot password link. It is a shell of an account with no information beyond name and email but I did not sign up for this. I attempted to use chat and was told to call. I tried to call and was given a pre-recorded "thank you for the call all agents are busy and not time for you" type message before being disconnected. I am trying to ascertain if my identity has been compromised and if there is a debit card with my name floating around that I did not sign up for but there is no way to contact this supposed reputable company about it.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me if incomplete.  I did receive communication from the business but no disclosure form as they stated they would provide.  In addition, I had to connect to you to get a response as they have a non-existence customer support program.  While I accept I would like to public ask that the company do better!

      Sofi is sending me notifications via email for accounts that I do not have. I have made multiple requests to be removed from their contact list. None of them have been addressed.I have never been a customer. I inquired about financial products and now cannot stop them from contacting me. The emails they send me are for customers, which I am not.There is no possible way to get support without being a customer. I cannot access online support without logging into their customer site. Calling the telephone support as a non-customer leads to a dead end. There is no option within the emails for me to unsubscribe.

      I am rejecting this response because:  I received a letter in the mail from SoFi stating that my profile has been deleted but that I am still opted IN to marketing emails. There is no mechanism for me to stop receiving emails from SoFi.

      I was never a customer. I checked the interest rate offered for a personal loan. In order to do this, I had to provide my email address. I sincerely regret doing this now that I know it is not possible to ever get SoFi to stop contacting me.

      I received an email from a company called Sofi stating that I had changes to my debit card and that the bank name was changing. I've never heard of this company nor do I have any cards or affiliation with them. I looked up their website and am trying to reach a non existent customer service..."there are **************** line ahead of you" message over and over again. Clearly this place is some kind of illegitimate and unprofessional site. I want to know if a fraudulent account was opened under my name, have it closed, any and all info deleted, police report filed.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      SoFi sent me an email stating that I received their email in error but that my info wasn't there to erase.  I do not believe this since they used my info they got from somewhere, other than myself.  This has also been a complaint by many other individuals over a period of months so it seems to be a pattern rather than a mistake.  I want my info removed and SoFi held accountable so that they STOP doing this to random citizens and getting away with "I'm sorry" emails.  There also is ZERO customer service which is unacceptable.

      I applied for a personal loan through Sofi and was denied. Months later I receive an email stating that they've had a data breach and my password/login information has been compromised. I don't have any active account with Sofi so I called to see if they could remove my information from their system. I was told that even though I have no active account with them they can only deactivate my account rather then delete my information.

      I received an email saying that my SOFI Debit card changed from The Bancorp to SoFi Bank. I don't have a SoFi debit card or any account with Sofi. I tried to reach them and they have it set up so it is impossible to reach them. So I tried to use the lost or stollen option and the recording says due to high call volume to try again later. Really, if one of their customers had a lost or stollen card they say try again latter. I don't know if someone opened an account using my information without me knowing or how they had my email. But want I learned is SoFi cannot be trusted and I want a confirmation that no one opened an account in my name and now I know if I ever needed to get an account not to use this company.

      Received an email that said there were changes to my debit card. I don't have a debit card with this company. When I tried to email them, the email went nowhere. I tried to go to the website for contacts info and it tried to force me to download the app just to find what I needed. I finally got the chat to work, but it's a bot that just says call an agent and gives a number that goes nowhere. I tried calling several times and it's always a busy signal. How is that even possible in this day and age? I want to contact them and make sure ***** has opened an account fraudulently under my name, but it is impossible to speak to an actual person.

      I have an investing account with SoFi connected to my bank account. I have two big problems with SoFi. 1. I'm trying to withdraw funds and close my account. They've made it impossible to do so. The chat with an agent never works. Then it tells you to call their phone number ************. You call, and the phone rings busy. So how are you supposed to get ahold of them? This is happening during their listed business hours. 2. I received an email from them regarding a SoFi debit card. I don't have a SoFi debit card. Again, the chat with an agent doesn't work during business hours, neither does he phone number, so how am I supposed to check to see if my info was hacked or if it was an error? All around bad business. I just want my money, my accounts closed, and to be done with SoFi.

      Today (02/24/2023) SoFi reached out to me regarding an update to my SoFi Debit Card. I never had any SoFi Debit Card or was never a SoFi customer. I suspect they fraudulently opened a debit card without my consent. The SoFi customer care number is not reachable, the customer care email bounced back and the chat option needs an account (which I don't have since I am not a customer).

      I applied for a loan with SoFi and uploaded my drivers' license as identity verification. My license has an older address printed on it, even though the *** has my current and correct address, as do all of my bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts. It is incredibly common for drivers' licenses to have older addresses printed on them as the *** only regularly issues new cards when the license is renewed every 10 years, not every time you move. SoFi denied my application based solely on their "inability to verify identity" and refuses to work with me to provide additional identity verification. Their representatives' recommended course of action is to keep applying, but their system does not even allow me to do that. If not for the fact that they've already done a hard inquiry and pulled my credit report, I would just go to another company, but I'm trying to avoid having multiple inquiries when there is no legitimate reason this application should have been denied.

      I applied for a credit card through their website. I received a call at 8 oclock in the morning asking to call back to verify my identity. I did sell several hours later. I was told by the representative that because I did not verify my identity, my application was denied. Im not sure how quickly you demanded that I verify my identity, but I called back the same day. I asked to speak with the supervisor and the representative said that was not possible. This may have damaged my credit, as well as caused me to have aggravation that was unnecessary. Please reinstate my application and approve it, and please consider more reasonable customer service procedures.
