    I hired Rocket Lawyer to file a trademark for my business, "Ten Yard Marker," and paid $349.99. The application number is ********. Rocket Lawyer did not respond to the *****'s requests for additional information, and on February 6, 2025, I received a notice that the trademark had been abandoned. After multiple phone calls to reach Rocket Lawyer's Trademark Fulfillment team and, finally, after escalating the issue, I paid an additional $250 and received confirmation on February 23, 2025, that the petition to revive the application had been received. On July 2, 2025, I received another email from the ***** stating that the trademark had been abandoned. I have called Rocket Lawyer twice with no response and am therefore filing a complaint with the BBB. I have paid $599 and do not have the trademark. I want Rocket Lawyer to remedy the situation so I can have the trademark issued for my product. Please see a detailed listing of all the events attached.

    Hello,I did the free trial of the + membership and it was just for one document, to which i ended the membership after realizing i had been charged monthly of $59.97. I am currently still being charged that amount even after ending the membership.

    I would like to file a complaint against Rocket Lawyer. I purchased a Board minutes document for $5.00, and then I asked a lawyer about the minutes. The website did not inform me that there would be a fee, and when I checked my bank account, they had taken out over $200.00. This is unacceptable as the website did not confirm with me that there would be a fee at all. I want a full refund from Rocket Lawyer.     On May17,2024, I enrolled in RocketLawyers free trial and immediately downgraded my account to prevent any charges.     I am rejecting this response because:

    I cancelled my free trial on May?17,?2024before it expiredyet RocketLawyer billed 13 unauthorized charges totaling $484.87 and refunded only $199.95, leaving $284.92 still outstanding .

    Per RocketLawyers own FAQ and the Fair Credit Billing Act, I demand full refund of the remaining $284.92 and written confirmation of permanent account closure within 24 hours .
    If I do not receive both, I will file disputes with my card issuer, the ***** and the Maryland Attorney General, and pursue small-claims court without further notice .

    My mother-in-law wanted help with a will. I signed up on the Rocket Law site in 2023 and we did her will and then closed the account. In mid-2024, she said she wanted to make some changes, so I signed back up to access the data. I paid this bill for 4-5 months, waiting for her to get around to doing this, and she never did, so I cancelled the account. LAST YEAR, in late 2024.I was just reviewing a credit card and saw that, despite my cancellation, they have continued right on charging me. I did have Rocket Money, which claimed to show subscription accounts, but they neglected to show this (big surprise). I have lost at LEAST $320.00 and haven't used the site once in this time, because I'd cancelled it. Rocket Law is clearly a scam, and Rocket Money apparently assists in their devious practices.

    I signed up for a Legal/Tax Package with RocketLawyer. I have been billed the wrong amount and recharged for the same membership multiple times. My taxes were submitted and paid for; however, they were never completed. This is a horrible service. You cannot reach customer service, and you cannot cancel your membership online. I am furious and frustrated with this organization. I reached out to customer service once and explained the problem; however, I was not refunded for the overbilling, and I continued to receive and pay for overbilled monthly charges. I want to request a refund of all my money and have my data deleted from their system.

    I am filing this complaint against Rocket Lawyer for deceptive subscription practices and refusal to issue a fair refund.I initially signed up for Rocket Lawyers 7-day free trial, used the service briefly, and promptly attempted to cancel. Despite believing I had successfully cancelled, I was billed multiple times afterwardspecifically three separate charges totaling $179.91. I only intended to be billed once, if at all.When I contacted Rocket Lawyer via live chat, the agent (*******) acknowledged that the account had been cancelled and that I had not used the service since my initial activity. Despite this, they refused to refund the two extra charges, citing a 30-day policy buried in their Terms of Service.I explained that:I believed I cancelled during the trial.I never intended to enroll in an annual installment plan.I never used the service again after the initial signup.Rocket Lawyer offered to stop the final payment and confirmed that no future charges would occur, but they refused to refund the $119.94 overcharge for two months I did not use and did not knowingly authorize.I believe the website design and membership flow are intentionally confusing, making it appear that cancellation is complete when it is not. It is unacceptable to make it easy to sign up and nearly impossible to understand when and how to avoid recurring charges.

    Wed like to take a moment to clarify the terms of our Free Trial, which were agreed to upon sign-up. As outlined at that time, starting a Free Trial requires entering valid credit or debit card information; there is no billing whatsoever as long as the membership is canceled before the trial ends. If not canceled, the account automatically transitions into a paid membership, as stated in the terms and during the registration process.

    We have already processed refunds covering 12 months of charges, which we believe to be a fair and reasonable resolution under these circumstances. At this time, we will not be issuing additional refunds beyond what has already been provided.

    I engaged Rocket Lawyer to file three trademark applications for my company's brand name and logo on August 29, 2024. I also pay an annual membership fee for ongoing services. On March 7, 2025, I received the first ***** Office Action requiring a response within the statutory deadline.While the initial engagement letter covered only the filing, I immediately contacted them to engage their services for the response and was willing to pay additional fees. Despite multiple attempts to contact Rocket Lawyer, they completely failed to respond or acknowledge my requests. I emailed the assigned attorney with no response, forwarded emails to their trademark department with no response, called their main number multiple times and left voicemails as instructed but never received callbacks. I continued follow-up communications over several months.They never informed me they would not handle the response or provide any guidance about next steps. The June 7, 2025 deadline to respond to the ***** has now passed due to their complete non-responsiveness. This has resulted in:- Abandonment of trademark applications requiring complete re-filing - Loss of original filing date and priority - ******************** burden due to substantially increased ***** filing fees since the original filing - Requirement to restart the entire trademark process from the beginning I seek full refund of fees paid for their trademark services, refund of initial USPTO fees, compensation for new ***** fees, and additional attorney fees to re-file applications. Their failure to even respond to a paying member seeking additional services is unacceptable.
