The business is unprofessional. There is a number provided however in the greeting it even states they rarely check it. They dont have any direct communication to resolve a situation immediately. They will block your account without proof of any details as to why you are no longer allowed to work for them. I was working every single day, and then all of a sudden I was deemed ineligible without cause. ******* would not respond to my messages, in the portal to which you are directed to.The reps do not follow the policies that are posted on the app, as they will make their own personal decisions even if their action is not in the policy or stated in the orientation. They feel they can do that, since there is no one else that we can report to. Businesses like these should not be allowed to operate when they lack customer service and training on people management. If employees cannot physically access an HR rep or have a direct line of communication that specializes in certain issues, then these places should not be allowed to hire anyone.Business Response

************************** account was placed on hold while we were verifying her doctors note that was clearly created to remove a strike. We deemed that her doctors note was fake and her account was placed on pause for sending in false documentation. To verify this *************** note, I would recommend calling the facility to verify she showed up on January 26th with her doctor. The phone number and language on the note started to change slightly when we asked for a different doctors note, which clearly shows it's fake. After review, I've unblocked her account so she can continue working shifts, but has since deleted her account.Initial Complaint

Today I had a job open up but it is saying I am still on the waitlist but it is an open job. I should be able to sign up for it. The job is for Jan 2 ****. I should be able to sign up without an issue but it still says I am waitlisted. I believe I have been blocked from further jobs with office Depot as retaliation for previous complaint against WorkWhile. I would like workwhile to release the Office Depot jobs to me or to fix whatever is happens I g that is preventing me from signing up for open jobs.Business Response

We allow workers to place themselves on a position in case there are last minute cancellations. If a spot opens up, they will receive a message to accept the shift. I'm showing that ******* has worked an Office Depot job on January 8th so he can accept and work Office Depot shifts when there are spots available. Office Depot shifts fill up quickly and we allow workers to place themselves on the waitlist and it's not guaranteed. Shifts are open to all workers to accept. Rasheed is eligible to accept Office Depot shifts. Nothing is stopping him from scheduling shifts with Office depot as long as they are available spots.Initial Complaint

WorkWhile owes me for a day of work that they never paid. I have requested my pay but I keep being told that they cannot contact my supervisor. It has been weeks and I have still not received pay. Customer Support has stopped communicating with me about not being paid for the two (2) most recent shifts which I have completed through the Workwhile app. On Friday night, November 3rd, I completed a seven (7) hour shift at the ******** Warehouse located at ********************************************************************************. The payment for this shift was scheduled for Sunday November 5th after 5:30pm. However, the payment did not get processed and was not received. The very next shift I worked was an eight (8) hour shift on Monday November 6th. During working hours on Monday, I spoke with one of the workers in charge who informed me that payment for the previous shift worked on Friday would be processed and available on Tuesday November 7th. Furthermore, the shift currently being worked that Monday could be expected to be paid on a weekly basis and should be processed and received the following Tuesday November 14th. Since these payments were not being scheduled to be paid within 48 hours, I contacted Workwhile customer support. ***, the Customer Support, representative has not communicated with me since Thursday November 9th, although he indicated that he would escalate this issue.Business Response

We called Cabonia when she reported that her check didn't get deposited. We found that she had an incorrect direct deposit listed. We quickly updated her direct deposit info and reissued her pay. On November 6, 2023. I scheduled a couple of shifts to work in the app. While sitting outside facility 15 minutes before shift. I received a text message saying my shifts has been cancelled and removed. With in a 4 hour window which is less than 24 hours notice. In the company policy it states if a shift is cancelled due to any business needs within 24 hours you will be compensated 100%. I worked on September 11 2023. And I still havent gotten paid. On oct 3 2023 i messaged workwhile that I still havent received my sept 11 2023 payment. I then asked for direct deposit to be initiated to my account since the payment is past due. **** from workwhile says it is not possible. I have already had a situation with WorkWhile of a similar nature. All I am asking is that my payment for Sept 11 be deposited into my account as opposed to waiting for Monday because I should have been paid already.Business Response

On Monday September 11 2023 I was supposed to recieve a direct deposit. I never received it. I have contacted WorkWhile several times and still havent received my money. I worked the week before and I wasnt paid. I have contacted them by message and phone and I have not gotten a response. Prior to this I have received my money in time and I didnt have any issues. The direct deposit for this individual wasn't triggered last Monday, but we have issued his payment to his account and will be deposited within 1-2 days. Our engineering team is looking into why this worker's account wasn't triggered for direct deposit for the funds that didn't get deposited. We've communicated this back to *******

The case revolves around the deactivation of a 1099 account following allegations made by an employee's supervisor. The affected individual (myself) referred to as the employee, worked as an independent contractor under a 1099 classification, which meant they were not considered traditional employees of the company but rather worked on a contract basis.
The situation arose when the supervisor made unjust claims against the employee, possibly accusing them of subpar performance, misconduct, or other detrimental behaviors. These claims were severe enough to warrant immediate action, leading to the deactivation of the employee's 1099 account.
The deactivation of the 1099 account has significant implications for the employee (myself) , as it impacts my ability to continue working with the company and receive compensation for their services. I worked a shift using from Thistle using the WorkWhile app. I worked overtime and my time needed to be verified. Its been 48 hours my time hasnt been verified while my co-workers did bare minimum and received their pay. I tried contacting WorkWhile but the app isnt working properly (my message is sending but didnt send). I left a message on a previous chat but that person isnt working tonight.Business Response

WorkWhile strives to pay workers within 48 hours whenever possible. However, when a worker clocks out past the scheduled end time of an assignment we need to get approval from the customer in order to process payment.
According to our records you were paid **** hours after clocking out of our shift. We regret we were not able to process payment within 48 hours. Our records show that messages to our support chat were received and responded to. Thank you for working with WorkWhile!
