I signed up for a shift on workwhile. I showed up on time but I couldn't clock in. I immediately contacted support via chat. I was told to take a picture of a sign in sheet. I did. I was told then that the date needed to be on the time sheet, but I could wait until I clocked out to take a picture of it. Meanwhile my account was blocked for being a no show and there is no clear way to contact workwhile except for the chat to which no one responded from the previous chat and there was no way to start a new one. So I worked for 5 and a half hours but I was accused of being a no show and my account is blocked, two inappropriate actions and most importantly, they owe me my wages.Business Response

On Thursday August 1, 2024 I used their platform to work as an independent contractor for this business. They paid me on their app but theres no way to transfer that payment from their app to my bank account because the app crashes. The weekly ach transfer doesnt work either. They only have FAQs and no way to contact their support team.Business Response

I have worked for this Company on 06/20/2024 from 4:00am - 11:00am. However, it has been a week later and I still haven't heard anything. The chat help section they have is from employees that are international Not in the U.S. I have Given My Concern Everyday since the last day and Neither of them can do Anything about Me not being paid but say. We have escalated this issue. There are no numbers or emails with this company, No One willing, Able, or Anyone that Cares to Help. After doing my research I am not the First Employee that has been through this working a Full Day's Pay Without Being paid. I have been told by supervisor that work the Factor 75 Floor That My Time has been Entered 5 days Ago, That I would be Paid Immediately. YET A Week Later I have Not Been Paid. After my Hard Work. It cost $25 to Uber to and From this Company for me to work and support my Family. *** No 1 Hire up seems to care. Why have Employees that you Refuse to Pay or Care about there situations. There is literally no way to Receive Help on this App! I have tried my best to be Patient, but the only way to get someone to care is to leave reviews any where that you can. I am a very humble Hard Worker for my Family. Why put People in this situation with no means to Receive Help if they really need it. The Work While Leads and Supervisors have told me that it has been taken care of *** the Chat Support says Something totally different. They Do Not Communicate with Each Other, and do not *********** Know what stands to happen if you have worked for other companies before them. I only come here so that this won't happen to someone else that spends all there funds to come to Work and not get paid for it after having to go home from 7-10 hours shift! I was lead to believe that I would be paid for my orientation, and the only reason that I am at all upset about the fact that I wasnt is because after I finished it all there arent even any jobs in my area! Workers are able to download the WorkWhile app to accept jobs available within their area. As a job marketplace, we match workers to jobs within their area and are at a first come first serve basis. Employers on our site are able to post jobs whenever there is a need. I can see that ***** is in an area where we don't have many job opportunities at the moment, but we allow workers to recommend or refer businesses for our team to get in contact with to post jobs on our platform for workers to receive a referral bonus.
In regards to our orientation, it is part of our onboarding process to be eligible for shifts and to learn how to use our application for when workers are getting ready to accept a shift.

Hello, I picked up a shift for the first time on this past Saturday, March 9th. I only worked slightly over 3hrs; approx. 3:30pm~6:50pm. The shift was hosted by ********** Services at ****************** for the motocross championships. It was extremely disorganized and nothing was done as stated in the preparation paperwork. We weren't able to clock in on-time due to supervisor issues and parking issues. Nothing was done or said. After said shift, I expected around $54 for my time and $50 from the referral program. As of yesterday, March 11th, my shift is no longer showing and my account is blocked. ****** says I was a "No Show", which is absurd when I was freezing cold and rained on during the shift. This has been extremely frustrating for me to have to jump through these unfortunate hoops. I am definitely encouraged to not pick up anymore shifts due to this troubling situation.I attempted to chat with support and was told that I would be escalated to higher support--I've heard not a peep since that exchange. The business has blocked my account twice for no reason whatsoever. I have showed up on time for every single shift including ******** on 2/19/24.I drove 50 miles to the work site. Why would I leave without permission?

i do an excellent job.
i have been treated unfairly, and didnt get paid per WorkWhiles TOS.
