I used Nerd Wallet to research some insurance options, and they required my email address. Ever since then I am receding a multiple emails and the unsubscribe button is not working, when I press on it it brings me to a new page that has a circle on it like its loading. I just want to have my right to opt out of receiving marketing, news etc emails!Business Response

Thank you for forwarding ** this complaint. We reviewed our records and it looks like this consumer's name and email address was used to create a NerdWallet account on January 2, ****, at 4:38:04 PM PST. Given the consumer's complaint, we have deactivated this account. The consumer's name and email address was also used on www.theratechopper.com on January 3, ****.
Earlier today, we reached out to the consumer via email and explained that we have deactivated the account. We also provided the consumer with resources for responding to ID theft.

Our User Operations emailed the consumer advising her of such deactivation that same day at 12:23 PM PST. After reviewing the customer's request, we reviewed our records and determined that the referenced email and related account were deactivated on September 15, 2023. We additionally determined the customer had what appeared to be two other email addresses associated with NerdWallet. We have deactivated those as well. As such, the customer's request should be satisfied.

I made an inquiry via nerdwallet researching possible RV financing options. I filled out the nerwallet form and submitted. I immediately received a notice within the nerdwallet website that a potential provider needed a bit more info and I naively submitted that. Subsequently, I received an email from a company named pfmverify to say that I had subscribed to something at $39.95 per month.This has the appearance of a bait-and-switch operation. No obvious notice was given that there would be some kind of subscription. This is scurrilous business and I want this cancelled immediately. Please terminate whatever it is that your company concocted with pfmerify and confirm with me that it has been cancelled.This is waste of my time and I do not appreciate it.NBCBusiness Response

Thank you for forwarding ** this complaint. As an initial matter, NerdWallet does not work directly with PFMVerify. As a result, NerdWallet did not provide ********************** information directly to PFMVerify. Rather, it appears that ****************** filled out a form on NerdWallet's website and was then connected with LeadsZoom, a partner of NerdWallet. Upon accessing LeadsZoom's site, ****************** may have then provided more information and then been connected to PFMVerify. PFMVerify then appears to have charged the consumer.
Because PFMVerify is not a partner of NerdWallet, we cannot speak as to how ****************** subscribed to PFMVerify. Given this, we recommend ****************** contact LeadsZoom or PFMVerify.

Thank you for forwarding this complaint. After reviewing it, the actual complaint does not seem to relate to any service or actions by NerdWallet. Rather, it appears that the consumer has a registered account with ********************** that allows her to view her credit report. After reviewing her credit report, which was made available to the consumer via the NerdWallet app, the consumer takes issues with a creditor that appears on the credit report. NerdWallet, however, has no ability to make any changes to the consumer's credit report. In short, this complaint does not seem properly directed to NerdWallet. Was looking for a SBA loan, went through the preliminary application process. As soon as I submitted it, I got 12 phone calls within 3o mins of submitting app from 3rd companies looking to offer me a line of credit. Since than I get daily calls upwards of 8 or more a day from funding and capital companies looking to offer a "line of credit" or other types of financing products (none of which are SBA loans that I was initially looking for). It has gotten to the point that I feel the need to change my phone number due to Nerd Wallet. They doxxed me basically.Business Response
