When I looked for a mortgage rate (****************************************************************), NerdWallet baited me with below market rates, then told me there were no mortgage rates available at the rates they themselves advertised after I agreed to allow them to sell my personal information to third parties. It is an unethical bait and switch tactic, which tells you what type of leadership NerdWallet has in place.Review from Lorena H

My email address has been hacked and it appears I now have an account set up with ********************** for '*******' although that is not my name! I believe I've tracked it back to a 'soft hit' on my credit rating done by an insurance agent checking my history before issuing a policy. Never-the-less, I have received numerous emails advising that 'my' account has been set up and then received 2 emails advising I needed to reset my password for my NerdWallet account. I haven't opened or replied to these emails but the latest one I received was 12hrs ago promoting a program for NerdWallet which makes me believe an account was activated and possibly someone was able to reset the password. This is very unnerving and appears to be happening a lot with this company by the reviews I'm seeing. I am very cautious about online transactions and to have this happen by no fault of mine is very frustrating!!Review from Lauren T

SCAM! I applied for a loan, was "approved", turned in all my paperwork including connecting my bank, sending in proof of ownership, my social, my ID and everything. Was supposed to be a 1-2 day process. I have called and emailed for 3 weeks now and haven't gotten in touch with a single person. The customer service line just takes your number and says a specialist will reach out to you. LIES! They will even try and sweet talk you and say they will mark it as urgent. What really irks me is that they claims to give you your own specilized agent that will answer any questions you have. I have emailed her over and over and no reply. I have reached out so many times and no one is ever available or will call you back.Very convinced that they are just collecting our personal and financial information to scam. Very upset about this experience and it really caused a lot of issues with my business because I was depending on the loan after I was approved. I wouldn't recommend them to a single soul!Review from Matthew G

I was receiving non-stop NerdWallet emails and I never subscribed or visited the website. I u subscribed more than 10 times and the emails continued. I contacted them and asked them to stop the spam mail because it's I don't want it, I never asked for it, it's harassment and illegal. They continue to send their emails. With no other recourse I threatened them with legal action, the email stopped but afterwards my inbox has been flooded with other spam mail daily. So the result of me asking them to stop sending me emails because I never subscribed to them was them getting angry and filling my inbox with spam mail. NerdWallet needs to be investigated and find or shut down. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.Review from bradford W

Bait and switch, sold my info. Nerdwallet advertised that they would do the work for me and get car insurance quotes if I provided my information. I did. Then they sold my info to car insurance agencies who bombarded me with emails asking for the same info I just gave Nerdwallet, in addition to Nerdwallet sending me more emails that I didn't request. Well they start off in their add by flat out lying to you. I don't have the greatest credit score due to some high bills which is my fault. But the any credit score is some B.S. If I got this loan it would free up alot of extra cash to make my payments easily.Review from Damion M

********. They get your info offering insurance quotes and then only actually offer 1 quote for ****** expensive Farmers. Smh HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE.Then they sell your info and you immediately start receiving robo calls and text. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFOReview from Lee O

I have never applied for a loan using specific email. I felt very uncomfortable knowing an account was made in my name without my permission. I don't know how they received access to my email but a further concern is my security of other personal information is compromised. Promptly remove me from any and all further emails and deactivate any and all accounts from this company, in my name or otherwise. Account has been made without my permission and/or Knowing.Review from Gretchen E

I don't know how Nerd Wallet got my information, but I cannot unsubscribe from their emails.I will never use their service.I tried to unsubscribe from Nerd Wallet via multiple emails but that did not work.Then, I tried to unsubscribe from their email list through my account.Well, I never had set up an account with them in the first place. And, there was not an option for unsubscribing from their email list through their account information.Review from Gabe D

Nerdwallet misleading headlines attracted me to provide my personal information, then phone calls flooded. It is just a referral compony that sales your information, and we do not know exactly to whom.
