      On November 28, 2023, I contacted JustAnswer.com for a one-time legal advice consultation. This one-time consultation was advertised as being $****. To my surprise, I have been billed $60.00 twice for a monthly subscription that I did not want to participate in. Nor, have I used JustAnwser.com after that one-time consultation. I contacted their customer support center and the moment any mention of cancelation or refund is made; they send you a phone number and close the chat to any further conversation. The number they send is just a prerecorded message and does not provide any human assistance. I was finally able to have a short chat with a customer service representative who claimed their company offered no refunds. I agreed for a one-time $**** consult; that is it. I want my $120.00 refunded to me; I did not agree to a monthly membership for the last two months.They advertise help for ****, but on their statement the **** charge is listed as a "join fee" as if they intended on secretly attaching their bogus subscription-----shadey tactics. Reading their reviews on BBB and yelp, I am not surprised that I am not the only one experiencing this issue. This appears to be their predatory business model.In reference to Order ID ***********.

      In October we called Just Answer and asked a question about our new TV. It was not answered correctly, and my daughters came and fixed the problem. We paid the first $55 because they tried and I am hard of hearing, so it could have been that I didn't hear correctly. Now we are getting $55 charges in November and December. I have disputed the second charge, which has not been resolved and now there is a third charge. I have not called them since. I believe this is a scam.

      This isn't the first time I've come across an egregiously dangerous "answer" from a supposed veterinarian on your site. It makes me wonder whether credentials are verified. In truth, it doesn't matter whether someone has a degree if they are lazily googling answers (in order to get paid through your site) and not bothering to read thoroughly. What makes this so much worse is that so many people reference these answers in times of crises. In this situation, the customer explained that her dog had consumed onion powder. "Dr. ****** Expert" tells her to give the dog hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting - common practice when dogs consume poison (though, vets should be the ones administering such tactics). The problem is the prescribed dosing. The "vet" prescribes 1ml per lb. The dog in question is 70lbs. The vet concludes that the dog should consume ONE THIRD CUP OF HYDROGEN P**OXIDE!!! Poisoned twice, I can only assume the dog ended up in the ** or is dead. Why is there no option to flag dangerous answers?Instead, you allow this answer (and others) to be publicly posted for reference. This answer has been up for 4 years!Dosing hydrogen peroxide for dogs is 1ml per 1lb of weight, UP TO 45lbs. No dog can consume more than this - 3 tablespoons is the max ****** for 45lb, 70lb, or a 200lb dog. Anything beyond this will potentially cause: inflammation of the stomach; stomach bleeding; venous or arterial gas embolism; CNS damage & subsequent brain infarction; vomiting, haematemesis and foaming at the mouth may obstruct respiratory tract or result in pulmonary aspiration; laryngospasm and haemorrhagic lethargy, confusion, coma, convulsions, stridor, sub-epiglottic narrowing, apnoea, cyanosis and cardiorespiratory arrest may ensue w/in minutes of ingestion.This answer needs to be removed. Your site should have a system in place to flag incorrect info and vets with repeat flags should be barred from further participation. It seems there are no checks and balances.

      I went on the Just Answer website about six months ago to check it out because I had a ************ question. I started entering information but when I realize it was a monthly fee website I stopped and ended the interaction. I wanted a one time fee for the answer but instead I just noticed on my credit card statement that they have been billing me $60 every month for the last five months. I don't even have a log-in to cancel the account because I never fully signed up. I want my money back because I never wanted the service in the first place and never used the services. I want to account that I never even created cancelled so they no longer have access to my credit card.

      I utilized their website on 12/13 - there was supposed to be a Trial Membership for just $5. I had one question about the value of an antique, but I couldn't ask the question without signing up for an account. I was connecting with a expert when I was notified by my bank that $5 was charged, immediately followed by $65. I said the $65 was not correct, and they stopped my card, right before Christmas. Meanwhile on the website, the so-called expert wanted to charge another charge. I did not connect with him, then contacted the company to cancel my membership as it was not clear that $65 would be charged and I wanted a refund. I've just asked for a refund from their customer care chat. I was told I should have carefully looked at terms and conditions, and also, they were not able to refund because I cancelled my membership!

      I believe the nature of their fees is misleading. It starts out as a chat where no fee is mentioned whatsoever. The chat person directed me to what I thought I was paying $5 for some vet advice. Instead, they charge me $40 a month recurring monthly fee. They also indicated I could talk to a live person on the phone for an additional $28. I decided not to seek their advice, asked for a full refund, and cancel the monthly membership. By phone, I was able to cancel the monthly fee but they would NOT refund the initial $40. I am asking for the initial $40 to be refunded.

      I used the on-line Just Answer about an issue with a 2022 ****** Camry that would not start. The tech was helpful. For $5 this was worth it, however, I never authorized Just Answer to charge my **************** credit card $39 a month for a membership. This is basically fraud.       I called JustAnswer on November 27 to answer one question for one time $2.00 charge and I was prompted to put my credit card information. When I received my credit card statement for November I was charged not only $2.00 but also $49.00. On my December statement I was charged $49.00 again. I called my credit card company and I was advised that $49.00 is a monthly membership fee which I did not consent to this membership which was not mentioned to me. The credit card company advised me to cancel the membership which I cancelled December 30. I emailed JustAnswer ************* to refund my membership fee on December 31. and they are refusing to refund my membership charge.

      This company not only mislead me about the cost saying it was a **** fee to have my question answered then charging another ***** a few minutes later as a subscription fee I did not knowingly agree to. My question was about a painting I have that is signed ******* at the bottom. The signature is identical to *************************** except his work always has his full name this one has only his last. I provided photos of the painting and a close-up of the signature. After the supposed expert reviewed the information and pictures. They responded telling me it was his work but he signed it with only his last name because it was probably painted by a student or assistant. First off an artist is not going to sign art they didn't create, nor would an artist allow someone else to sign their work without at least having their name as well. After not only getting charged ***** more than I agreed to. To have some supposed art expert flat out make up a line of c*** and slap a 4 to 5 hundred price tag on it. I wasn't looking to even sell it. I was simply hoping an expert could educate me more than the about this painting.I reached out to customer service where I was told I agreed to the subscription on the payment page, news to me since all I read was about a 5 dollar fee to join nothing at all about any monthly subscription. I was under the impression all along that it was a pay per question thing. Went on to explain how awful my experience was with the so called expert. Was once again told to refer to the terms. Not eligible for refund again and again. Then service rep just left the chat. I reviewed the terms and found one single line about refunds, staying no refunds given? Alot about their rights as far as getting their money and right to cancel at any time.. Nothing at all reguarding their responsibility to provide what they sneakily overcharged you for. Just one sentence no refunds per terms. Followed by no terms. I even tried to stop the payment through my creditor and was informed that the company includes a block when they charge you preventing it from being stopped

      I went on to JustAnswer for a legal question. When I asked the question, the virtual assistant stated it would be a $1 initial fee with a $25 month subscription. I input my credit card info and proceeded. I cancelled my account as soon as I got my answer. After reviewing my credit card statement, I was charged $46. I was overcharged.
