Just answer is a ********* help desk I was told that a $1 charge would be taken and then go away. They then charged my account $55 days and was of no help.Business Response

Just answer uses a deceptive chat advising that there is only a one-time fully refundable fee with a link redirecting to a payment portal that will also charge you a non-advertised $46 subscription. I reached out to their support with screenshots showing this deceptive message and the agent closed the chat on me.Business Response

When I contacted this company online through their chat, on January 6, ****, I was *********** was a $5 fee which I would pay on the screen they were sending me to. I went ahead with PayPal which automatically sends payment because its saved on my phone. A few minutes later I see I am charged $40! Talk about a bait and switch scam! I have attached the actual chat log where I was told it was only $5 and nothing more. When I contacted the company directly about a refund the customer service representative ended the chat before I even got a chance to respond to them. It was very unprofessional. Found this company when I was searching on line for answer to problem I was having with my tv. They tell you that you will be charged $1 for an answer if you don't want the membership but by the time you fill out the payment information you have miraculously bought a membership which they say you asked and they will cancel it but they have a no refund policy. They have horrible customer service, while I was talking to the person there were kids yelling in the background and other people talking. All in all just a terrible company and please just stay away from this website.Business Response

This company is a misleading company that's running a border line scam where they advertise talking to a lawyer one time for 5 dollars but then charge you $50 and force you into a membership they don't mention up front. I approved only $5 to be withdrawn from my account on my banks side and they were still somehow able to manage taking out the rest. I contacted customer support and they were rude and ignored my concerns about false advertising and obviously misleading customers into thinking the cost is only $5. I mentioned how others were complaining about the same issue on BBB and they smugly said they have an A+ here. They know what they are doing and many people fell for this and complained but nothing is being changed. It is outrageous a company of lawyers would do this to people who they know don't have a lawyer and then laugh about it and basically tell me they got me and there's nothing I can do about it after.Business Response

01/04-05/2024. I have used this site before without a problem. Last time was in 2019. The solicitation was that for $5, I could access the site and ask a brief general question. No other pricing indications were stated or referenced. Immediately after submitting my debit/credit card for the $5 charge, I was immediately notified that I was charged $60/mo. in perpetuity until cancelled, for used of the site. I quickly cancelled the membership. The statement with the charge was that I was a former "member." I have no knowledge of being a "member." I have used and paid the site, but do not recall joining. I later discovered in comments on review sites that apparently "non-members" are immediately billed $41 or $49 per month. I tried to query about a refund, but was told that contact with customer service was billable with no rate stated. The lawyer (*******) who answered my brief general question wanted more info. In the lower right hand of that area of the web site was a notice of a fee of $59, which I did not know was already charged or would be charged if I replied. As a senior citizen on a fixed income, I cannot afford to get into open ended billing. I did reply to the lawyer that my general question was sufficient for what was expected to be a general answer as to whether I was in the right legal category and whether it was feasible to consider proceeding. If it had been, I would have paid the $59. I became very afraid of how much they could claim any action I made on the site. I also did not want to review the response other than to say it was incomplete because the lawyer errored in reading my brief input by thinking that I had maintained an inspection program when my warranty coverage did not require it. *************** said program on my contract, MaxCare, should have been called "drivetrain with wrap around coverage." Contract says ******* & was serviced as that 2009-2022. Fearing unstated JA billing, I cannot proceed and so said in review.Business Response

January 5th, ****, I pulled up JustAnswer.com to answer a tax question. The site said $5.00. They answered my question and then charged me $55.00 and enrolled me in some membership. I cancelled the membership and am looking to get reimbursed the other $50.00 they charged me. Tried contacting them and consistently get no answer.Business Response

Hello,I was chatting with Apple customer support. They told me that they would connect me with Just Answers and that it would cost $1, but I was then charged $56 from my PayPal. I was intentionally misled, as I would never pay $56 for IT help from a bot. I asked for a refund and the bot refused. January 5, 2023. I wanted to ask a question about my car issue. It gave me an option of 1$ for an answer. After entering my card info it showed 2 separate charges of 1$ and 34$. I cancelled the membership that I never wanted and called for a refund and was told it's nonrefundable. I only wanted to ask a question not join a membership that is useless.
