Website said 1 dollar charge that was fully refundable then buried in fine print that there was also a 29 dollar membership fee. Straight up scam. Realized right after charge and demanded my money back and they refused.I contacted them twice demanding a refund and they refused. I was in ******* in 2023 and had an urgent question I needed to ask my bank. On April 24, 2023, when I couldn't find a phone number to reach a human, I clicked on a link on the bank's website which didn't say anything about taking me to JustAnswer.com. I agreed to a $1.25 charge. I didn't get an answer from them, and then on April 27 they charged me another $48.76 and carried on charging me. I rarely use this credit card except for some automatic charges on it and so I only discovered what they'd been doing today while preparing my taxes. I just canceled on their website but I'm furious about this. They stole $540.46 (plus the $1.25 I agreed to pay) from me. My documentation is my credit card statements, which I can share if that would be any help in getting a refund.Business Response

they keep on charge me every month , i use them only one time and they didn't resolve my problems , so i want to cancel everything , they are stealing my money and they don't give you the chance to cancel after 30 days , this people are criminals . iwant to cancel the subscription but i don't know how , thanks i appreciate your help .Business Response

3/8/24. Went on line to Just Answer Veterinary. Cost 5 dollars. In filling in required questions and information. The question was at the beginning and then you fill out information. In filling and finishing personal questions, I seen how they were going to use my personal information with others. I immediately stopped and cancelled. All this is done in a chat. They took my cancelled request. I saw that not only did they take the initial 5 dollars, they took 35 dollars. A total of 40 dollars! I agree to the 5 but not the 35 dollars membership fee. I went round and round with them. I feel like I was hustled. They refuse to refund me the month membership cost. I cancelled before I received the answer I asked. I did not sign up for their membership . I am being charged wrongly.Business Response

I have been trying to contact anyone at the website in question and I can't get in touch with anyone except an AI assistant who takes me through the same loop. I haven't had any luck with speaking to anyone in regards to getting a refund for a service I've never used. I had to block access to my banking and set new things up incase they tried to take more. I've been trying two days now to contact someone but only way to speak to anyone real is to pay this company even more money.Business Response

On or about Feb. 3/24 I was trying to contact *****com with a question about a Sellers site having to do with the fact that their site did not ship to ****** when this site popped up (JustAnswer.com/help ********** CA. I assumed it was an affiliate of ***** They asked for a minimal charge for the service and suggested that I sign up for their service. There was at no time any mention of a monthly charge for joining their site.Then on my credit card statement of February I saw a Feb. 6/24 charge of $66.00 dollars from JustAnswer although when contacted by them to see if they had been any help I replied " no " and replied that the Seller had figured out the problem and made the correction.Then once again on my next credit card statement for Mar/24 was another charge of $66.00 from JustAnswer.Just yesterday Mar8/24 I mentioned this to my daughter who is more internet savvy and she took my phone, looked up this business, found where to cancel subscription to Just Answer. I paid a $1.00 fee to ask a question to a Mechanic Expert, and the company it only charged me the $1.00 for the question, but they also charged me an UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTION of $34.00 for a membership that I did NOT agree to. The date of the transaction was on February 28th, 2024. I IMMEDIATELY contacted the company the very next day when I noticed that .y card declined when I went to pay my utilities and I went I to my account to find that they made an UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTION. The company rep stated they cancelled my membership and that I would receive my money back into my account within 5 days. This complaint is a result of interaction with Just Answer on March 8, 2024 at about 3:00pm/PST. I am having trouble connecting my Hewlett Packard printer to the internet. I was referred to the HP.com/callme site by HP call line. This took me to the Just Answer website. The initial fee of $1.00 was to get started. After trying to use the chat feature, I selected the option to pay $39.00 to speak with a live representative who would call me back. I also selected the membership fee of $55.00 for ongoing technical support. After waiting a period of time, I called customer service and spoke with **** who assured me I would receive a call back today. I cancelled the membership (at 9:09pm/PST) so I would not be charged the $55.00 going forward. I will consider the $55.00 a loss. I am however requesting a refund of the $39.00 charged to speak with a representative. I will retain all of the text messages sent by JustAnswer.Business Response

In December 2023 I was under the impression that JustAnswer.com was going to give me medical advice. Like an advice nurse or recommend the best thing for my issue. I was also led to beleive that I had to pay a fee to get the info. I went through a long drawn out process of him asking me questions. Almost 20 minutes. To have him tell me that he couldn't help me. So I wasn't satisfied. Paid $46.00 for that. Fine. I accepted that. And when I was done with trying to get help, I was upset but moved on. Until I'm looking at my latest bank statement (February 2024) and see that I have been charged $46.00 in January 2024, February 2024, and March 2024!! Never signed up for a subscription. Never gave permission to keep charging me. Was never notified of a free trial and then a charge after trial ends. I was only told I was paying for service one time as I was using the service. I went online to see and I hadn't even created an account with them. But I had to to look further. It has a cancel button but does not say for what or how much ect...
