    Horrible company!!! My flight was cancel due to the global cyber shut down on July 19, 2024. The company would not refund me my money even through I purchased the insurance to protect me if I needed to Cancel. The Cyber shut down caused for thousands of flights to be canceled so my trip was canceled. I stay in contact with them the entire time through the process informing them when my flight was delayed then canceled. **************** was rude and refuse to refund me my money even through it was a global cyber issue that was that I couldn't prevent. Wise car was rude and didn't care at at. DO NOT USE THEM

Force majeure includes extraordinary events or circumstances beyond our control, such as the global cyber shutdown you mentioned, which caused widespread disruption and numerous flight cancellations.While we strive to accommodate our customers as much as possible, these types of events are explicitly covered under the force majeure clause in our Terms and Conditions. This policy is in place to ensure clarity and fairness in situations that are beyond our control, and it applies universally to all our customers.Furthermore, according to our supplier's No-Show policy, charges will be applied for missed reservations when customers do not arrive to collect their booked vehicles.     I had the worst experience. I live in *****, ** and needed a 15 passenger van. The place to pick it up was at the airport location and from the minute we showed up, we waited over 20 minutes for someone to attend us. When the van finally became available, we went to check the inside and outside to make sure everything was fine. Three of the seatbelts did not work and obviously I was jot taking that risk. The person had a nasty attitude and told me fine I'm canceling and you need to call the company directly. I called and emailed because I could not get through to anyone on the phone and the final response was none of my money could be returned as I had no evidence that the van didn't have seatbelts. So they don't ask the employee for proof but me. I was brushed off and gave those people almost a thousand dollars and no vehicles. I hope they all close down. This has never ever happened to me before. There is no professional attitude from any of the workers and it hurts to be treated this way.

    I used Kayak to find a rental car in ****** for a week. Kayak offered several different choices of cars from several different companies. The one I chose offered the car rental for $465 for the week. That was billed as the "total" price. It looked reasonable to me so I booked it. After I booked it the voucher that was sent to me was from ********************************* The car rental company was "Thrifty" which I believed to be the company I was renting the car from. the voucher also showed a payment of $465. Nowhere on this voucher did it say "Wisecars". So we pick up the car at *****************, complete our trip, and come home. I few days later I received my credit card bill which shows a charge to Thrifty Car Rental for $465. But there is also a charge to Wisecars for over $300. I have just now performed a search for a car on Kayak, selected the Wisecars option and proceeded to the payment screen. I did not complete the payment process because this was just a dummy test to see if I missed something during the original rental process. I wanted to see where there is documentation of a separate charge to Wisecars. I found no mention of a separate charge to Wisecars. This is a scam company and their operation I believe violates the Deceptive Trade Practice Act. I am reporting this to the ******************* Also there is no way to reach **************** at "**********************". I tried. They make it impossible, probably because they would be inundated by phone calls from unhappy customers. Would give them 0 stars.

    They use scam companies at *** Instead of unlimited mileage with a reputable car rental company, I was offered 50 free miles and a car from a scam company (addcars in ***). Wisecars does not refund my money as this information (on the miles, not the scam company), was buried in the fineprint of the voucher that I received after I paid. Never going to rent with them anymire. Book directly and save your money. I spend 300 on this plus 400 on Ubers as no other cars were available at ***.

    I recently tried to rent a car from Wisecars in *****. I booked a car that was a **** Torneo Connect. Shortly before the trip I was given a voucher for a Citroen Berlingo (which according to the rental car website is already a downgrade). When I arrived at the actual rental in ******** (NoLeggiare) I was offered an MG HS, which is a smaller and not as nice car. I refused the rental as they didn't have a car similar to what I reserved and I needed the space for my family of 5 and luggage. Instead I had to go to another car rental agency and pay more. Wisecars will not refund my money even though I was not offered a car comparable to the one I reserved. It's a bait and switch business. I will not be renting from them again - instead I will rent from an agency where I get cars comparable to what I reserve or better.

    Run away! My experience was extremely poor...they require a non-refundable deposit if you don't cancel within a certain time frame of when you are going to rent, however only provide you restrictions tied to rental (in my case, limited to ******* and ******* by the firm they choose - Fox Car Rental) very late in the process and, more importantly in VERY fine print that required clicking on 4 separate links to get to the document. Early in the process they make vague references to "read the car rental agency restrictions" however those are not made available until late in the process (in my case, 48 hours before pick-up). In my case, we got to the airport, *** refused to rent to us as we were going to ********...*** indicated to us that you'll get a full refund (even put it in writing), but Wisecars refused to provide a refund based on the fact that we didn't "show-up" (we did). I had to eat the cost and rent at **** for $300.00 more. Wisecars refused to provide a refund even though it was disputed via the credit card company and documentation showing that Fox indicated a refund was requested. Customer "Support" was rude, condescending, and was clearly responding via template communications. (***** from Wisecars)

    This is not an "actual" rental car company. They issue a voucher to use at an "actual" rental car company. This caused the "actual" rental company to double charge us on what we booked online because there is no communication between WiseCars and the "actual" rental company.I filed a support ticket with wisecars, which basically resulted in "yep, you agreed to get double charged by the "actual" rental company, read their fine print next time". It's a bad product if it's so easy to get tricked into double charges.Save yourself time, money, and hassle and just book directly with the "actual" car rental company.

    I am extremely disappointed with Wisecars service. I booked a car and paid $525, but at the Dollar Rent A Car pick-up location, we were denied service due to one mismatched letter on the main drivers credit card. The support team on WhatsApp and email has been utterly unprofessional, providing no concrete answers for 19 days. Despite sending all requested documents, I have received no action from their side. This level of service is unacceptable! I demand an immediate resolution and a refund.

    Do not use Wisecars! I made the mistake of trying to save some money on a rental car and ended up paying double. I tried resolving the issue with customer service (both in the airport and later) and couldn't get any help. Stay away from these scammers!
