    Used this company to rent a car and was unable to get the vehicle and no refund, I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they didnt have one on duty, was informed that they will not give me a refund due to the car rental supplier will charge them for the car, after speaking with the car rental supplier I was informed thats not the case, still cant get no one to help me, sad part is Im out $400 and no car

    Terrible! I spent 5 hours trying to get my car at the ***********************. The rental company was Thrifty through Wisecars. Thrifty tried everything they could but they only have a chip reader machine and it wouldnt read my chip. There was no option to tap, slide or manually enter the card. They couldnt take debit or cash. I did eventually get a car through **** at a much higher rate.I had reserved the car through Wisecars and put down a large deposit for several weeks of rental. They will not refund the money. Using every excuse they can find. Saying my card was not a credit card and that they consider me a no show. I spent several weeks trying to get my money back. Jumping through all the hoops and proving that my issue was valid. They stopped responding and I have no recourse. My issue is only with Wisecars and not Thrifty Rental, they really tried to complete the rental.

    Happened twice to me this year. You book a car rental and pay up and there is balance to be paid to the rental provider at pick up. They have charged me $ 100 above the agreed balance. I was told that Wisecars did not calculate all the taxes at the location. This is supposed to be a pre paid but end up paying more. Totally unfair! As a tired customer from flight, you want to get in the car ASAP. When contacted about it, Wisecars says they are still" investigating" and do not want to reimburse me the excess charges. For all I know this may be a set up on their part! Do not recommend unless you enjoy last minute surprises!

    Never ever use Wisecars for any reason. Run in the opposite direction.Booked a car for $297 at *************. Was given a smelly vehicle miles away from the Airport two days before the rental. (the reason they sent the voucher two days before is probably so it would be too late to find a vehicle at a different rental car place). Had to wait 25 minutes in 90 degree heat for the shuttle.At the sketchy rental place with several rental "companies" I've never heard of, I was told I needed to pay for insurance from them even though I paid for the deductible insurance with wisecars and have my own insurance. I also had to pay for the toll service so in all, I had to pay an additional $257.52 in order to start my vacation. I could go on and on about how horrible the experience was but the bottom line is I feel like I got robbed.Do yourself and your vacation a favor and never use wisecars.

    Hard to take Wisecars seriously as a way to reserve. They found me a $350 car at Thrifty at PDX for 5 days. When I got there ******* turned me down because of a dispute with ***** and referred me to Dollar which gave me a car for $998. I'm still stuck with $238 finder's fee from Wisecars. I called Wisecars to complain twice. The first call got dropped when I explained my business. The second call was slightly longer but then the agent pretended he couldn't hear me. Thrifty and Dollar are both subsidiaries of Hertz. I should have rented directly from a company I trusted instead of booking through Wisecars.

    To whom it may concern, I'm very frustrated with your company. I booked a car to be picked up in ********, *****. When I picked up the car I was told I needed an international driving license. I was told that was a law in *****. That is not a law in *****, I was able to rent a car from a different agency with no problem. ALso it was part of a wedding party and the other members of the party picked up cars in *********** without an international driving license. It took me an additional 2 hours to get another car. Most of the rental car agencies were fully booked.When I called wisecars to get a refund I was told I was not able to from ******* that he couldn't help me. Also said the manager could not talk to me. This is a ridiculous experience, its a scam. If there was an international driving permit requirement they should've told me on the phone. It should not be buried somewhere in small print. This is a lousy company with very poor customer service.

    Do not rent from Wisecars, they have no customer support. When you do get a hold of someone they cant really help you and if you want to talk to a supervisor they tell you they dont have one. Seems like no one is running the show. I rented a car for my wife and I used my credit card to book the reservation. When she gets to the rental place they state that she cant rent the car using a debit card, which most rental places allow; just not Fox apparently. You dont have control as to which rental company it goes to. That being said I was not able to rent my vehicle and they Wont Refund my money.
