    I reserved an economy vehicle for 10am in *************** for $300 for a week. They switched the provider to ******. Nu Car is off site and you need to take a minibus. When we got there we were told they didn't have a economy vehicle, only electric! They couldn't tell us we're the recharge stations where. They said our reservation was at 12pm. It was 11:30 am the only vehicle they had was a Dodge Charger for $850! Talk about bait and switch. I will be reporting both Wise Car and Nu Cars for collusion using bait and switch tactics and not honoring my reservation to the ************************.

According to the supplier, the scheduled pick-up time for your vehicle was originally set for 12:00 PM, but they noted that you arrived around 10:30 AM, which was more than 30 minutes ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, the original economy car you reserved was not yet available at that ******* accommodate your early arrival, the supplier offered an upgrade to a 2023 Dodge Charger, a premium mid-size vehicle, which you accepted. However, if you had waited until the scheduled time, your reserved vehicle would have been ready for pick-up as originally planned.Your feedback is important, and well continue working closely with our suppliers to improve communication and service in situations like this.     I agree with those below. Do NOT use Wisecars to book your rental. I like to have all my ducks in a row before leaving to travel. You can't do anything with email. They don't respond to chat. Their "reviews" page has no link for actually reviewing. So, I assume it's their employees making things up? I have no proof of that. So I called them to ask for the reservation information. I was told it would be sent to me 48 hours before my arrival. It never came. I called them. They told me it was sent. I was on the phone with them IN THE TERMINAL and they said it was sent. No where to be found. Not in my inbox. Not in my spam folder. Not in my junk folder. They read off the reservation number and told me to take it to Fox, who was off site to redeem. Would have been nice to know ahead of time it was actually through Fox and I would need to go off site. These people are not easy to contact. They don't provide the necessary documentation to make this a smooth transaction. I will NEVER use their services again.From the website: "The Wisecars voucher must be presented to the ****************** when picking up your rental vehicle. Your voucher is normally issued 48 hours before the pick-up time. You can present the voucher either in a printed version or a digital form (such as from your smartphone). We cannot be held responsible for rentals rejected if a voucher or rental details are not presented." But what do you do when you don't get the voucher?? Hope for the best!!

We want to clarify a few points regarding your booking.The name of the rental supplier, ***, was stated on the booking page next to the picture of the car, as well as in the confirmation email you received upon completing your reservation. Additionally, the voucher, which is automatically sent from our system, was sent two days before your scheduled ********** soon as you called our customer support line, our agents promptly resent the voucher email and also sent another email manually to ensure you had the necessary documentation. I have checked your email address and it matches the one that we have on file. As you still claimed you were not receiving any emails, we provided you with the reference number (which is the only piece of information needed at the counter to find your booking) and the pick-up instructions.If you have any further concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out at [email protected],****** from Wisecars.

    Do NOT use Wisecars! I would give 0 stars if I could.I looked up reviews before booking with them, but clearly I did not look carefully enough. Only now am I seeing that they have a rating of ONE star with the Better Business Bureau. The Wisecars site looks like they're rated very well. After my experience, I tried to post a review on their site but couldn't figure out how to do it. Funny how that works. I had communicated with Wisecars the morning of my scheduled pick up (in *******, **). They said everything was fine. When I got to the Thrifty counter to pick up, ******* said my rental had been cancelled. They had no cars available. I called Wisecars, and the ***resentative told me that this is a known issue with Thrifty. I asked why they reserve cars through Thrifty if this is a known issue. Then the *** said it was only in the last couple days. Thrifty would not give me a different car. I went to the next counter, *****. The ***** *** said they are a sister company of Thrifty. They would give me a car... for $685 when I showed my reservation was for $399! I ended up getting a car elsewhere (from Fox) for only $50 more. The Wisecars ***resentative said he could get me another car, but it would take hours. Do not reserve through a third party. There's no help available.UPDATE: Someone from Wisecars emailed and called me within a day after I posted this review. She apologized for my experience and said that if I sent in my rental agreement, Wisecars would compensate me. They hoped I would then either take down this review or at least update with what's happened. I said that I would not remove the review, but I would update it.I sent in my rental agreement. I was told I would be compensated for the extra I had to pay . . . in Wisecars credits! I will NEVER use this company again so that is useless.

    1 star is a generous stretch. This was the very worst rental car experience in the history of rental car experiences. I have a million things to report. The rental company (York) we were passed along to by Wisecars, the day of our pick up date, after thinking we were booking through Thrifty, ripped us off in a million different ways, including but not limited to: - lying to us about the $300 additional we MUST pay for their insurance coverage -trying to charge us more for paying with a debit card instead of credit card when I booked through Wisecars. -telling us they are putting us in a brand new 2024 car but it was actually a dirty 2023 car -renting us a car with an EXPIRED registration -renting us a car with tires that needed replacing. I know this bc our tire pressure light came on while we had it so we took it to have the tires filled and were told theres a very generic, poor plug in the rear right tire and all tires are overdue for replacement. -asking for a shuttle back to the airport as the instructions said would be provided and them telling us to get back it would be $23 (5 min shuttle to airport) We booked through Wisecars thinking they were a safe and reputable company that would ensure a reliable and upstanding rental experience. But that was absolutely not the case. I wouldnt touch Wisecars again with a 39.5 pole.

    Worst experience ever, unprofessional, unethical and dishonest group of people working for a dysfunctional organization. I have objective evidence of everything I mention below.March 20, 2024- Rental Car was reserved through Wisecars for $804 and an advance partial payment of $ 533 was made using AMEX card and to pay $270 at check out. On May 30, 2024 when I picked the vehicle at *******, I was charged $730 instead of $270 which was brought to the notice of the representative. I was told that there seems to be some issue with the system and I shall call tomorrow when the manager is available. Wise cars was also contacted on 05/30/2024 and was told that the issue will be resolved with Thrifty. I went to the rental location airport on 05/31/2024 and discussed the issue with the manager who acknowledged problem with the code on the voucher by WISECARS and promised to resolve it with Wise cars and refund the additional amount.I contacted wise cars on 05/31/2024 again and was told that they will resolve the issue and I will be refunded. Reached out to Wise cars multiple times from 06/01/ to 06/10/2024 and was told that this would be resolved before I return the rental on 06/11/2024.I inquired again while returning the vehicle on 06/11/2024 and was told that this is being resolved and may take a week to reflect in my account. I contact Wise Cars again after 4 a month and still the issue has not been resolved. I was again told that the matter is being resolved. Been more than 115 days and despite repeated emails and calls and reassurances of resolution and refund, Wise cars informed me through an email few days back that they are not responsible as payment was charged by Thrifty although the charges were based of the wrong code Wisecars had put on their voucher. I am exploring the feasibility of a lawsuit and exploring other affected customers so this highly unethical and unprofessional organization can be held responsible for stealing money from its customers.

    Scam artists, namely Wisecars and Thrifty On 5/15/24 I signed a car rental agreement with Wisecars (through Kayak). After all the selections like type of a car, options etc., the deal was $1173.55. $723.79 due now, $449.76 due at pick-up. I received a voucher for $1153.31(!) to be used at Thrifty at ***************. Of course, the lady at the counter was pushing for upgrades, but I declined them all. A few weeks later, when I got my credit card statement, I noticed that there was no $449.76 charge from Wisecars, BUT $1774.86 charge from Thrifty. I got in touch with Wisecars. They seemed to be responsive for the first couple of days, but it stopped.

    I recently planned a month long road trip in ******. I booked a car through wisecars and prepaid for a whole month. I flew from *********** to ********* *****, a 13 hour flight. When I arrived at the airport I experienced several delays in immigration and customs. I didnt have an international SIM card and had no way to let them know I was running late. It took me hours to even get to pick up my bags. By the time I made it to the car rental counter to pick up my car several hours had passed. The agent at the counter for the company (record-go) told me that wise cars had canceled my reservation leaving me stranded in *********. The car rental company (record-go) said their policy is 24 hours which is reasonable, but wise cars decided to just keep an entire months rental fee ($1326) for being a few minutes later than THEIR OWN policy allows. They didnt care at all. No sympathy or forgiveness. They refused to help me and instead just left me with no transportation stranded at the airport.Dont rent a car with this company because they have very unethical policies that only benefit them. You wont find out till they have stolen your money.

    I would also give zero stars if possible... rented an suv and paid for an upgraded larger vehicle. We told only taxes were due at pick up. However, when we arrived at thrifty for pick up, they didn't have the upgrade listed. Despite me having a confirmation with details on the upgrade from wisecars. I was charged an additional $538 for the upgrade.. I have submitted multiple tickets and called countless times, submitted all documents showing reservations and upgrades as well as additional charges from thrifty. Wisecars just keeps telling me they are waiting on a response from thrifty....

    I would give them zero stars if I could. Got to our travel destination and was told by our rental vehicle supplier that our insurance would not be accepted and that we are obligated to purchase the liability coverage through them. This nearly doubled the price of our rental, which I had prepaid. I’ll never use this service again!

    I already know what their response will be - sorry this was a supplier issue not affiliated with them. But you know what? When you are a broker, you are a reflection of the businesses that you engage with!

    I would like to provide some clarification regarding the insurance requirements. According to the Supplier Terms and Conditions accepted during the booking process, you have the option to either present proof of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Third Party Liability Insurance from your own provider or purchase these coverages at the rental counter.

    It is not mandatory to purchase additional insurance through them if you already have coverage that meets the supplier’s requirements. These requirements are stated on the Supplier Terms and Conditions as well.

    As a broker, we strive to ensure our customers are well-informed about all policies and terms associated with their rentals. While we work closely with our suppliers to provide accurate and transparent information, we understand that misunderstandings can occur.

    I would give them zero stars if that was possible. Worst experience in my 55+ years of traveling. Same experience as others on July 19 due to CrowdStrike issues. The company's "No Show" policy is ridiculous in that if you are late for your pickup your prepaid reservation is cancelled even if you call their customer service and advise them that your pickup time will be delayed due to a flight delay. If you are late for any reason beyond your control, too bad for you. This was my first time using a third party for a car rental and my last. I lost $263 on my prepaid rental. Do NOT use this company for a car rental. I will only deal directly with the major car rental companies in the future.
