    I have tried multiple times to get Truthfinder to remove my data. I dont know why it implies I have criminal records when I search myself on it, as I do not and the suppression page keeps throwing errors. I cannot get this company to respond!

    The information TruthFinder provides in reports is compiled from various public databases, government entities, commercial data providers, and other publicly available sources. When an initial search is performed, our system looks for potential records that may be associated with the name entered, including arrest or criminal records. This does not mean the individual has such recordsit simply reflects one of the parameters reviewed in the search process.

    While we cannot remove individual records from a report, we do provide the option to remove the entire background report from our site. We were able to locate Ms. ******** report and validate her request based on the information provided in her complaint. We will suppress her report pursuant to her request and our Terms. This request will also apply to other PeopleConnect-owned sites, including TruthFinder.com, ************, ********************, and ************.

    Please note that suppression on our platforms does not affect the availability of this information from its original sources or other third-party websites. Additionally, certain information may still appear in limited contexts, such as in registered *** offender lists or as a possible associate in another persons report.

    We also note that we have not received any prior emails or calls directly from Ms. ******* regarding this issue. However, we have taken action upon receiving this complaint to ensure her request is completed.

Our registration page and Terms of Use clearly outline the billing process, and customers also receive a confirmation email for all orders placed.

    We have reviewed our system and do not see any prior emails, phone calls, or chats from Ms. ****** requesting assistance with her account or login access. That said, to resolve the matter, we have canceled her membership and issued a full refund back to the original payment method used to enroll. No further charges will be incurred. Refunds typically appear within 35 business days, depending on the financial institution.

    Opened account just for one time information. Used two days and then canceled the account. But ********** keep taking money from account. Plus ********************** charges and gives wrong information.

    We always strive to provide information that is as accurate and helpful as possible. That said, because reports are compiled from many public sources, they can sometimes include details connected to people with similar names or backgrounds. As we note in our reports, the information should be used as a starting point for further review rather than the final word.

    When signing up, all billing details and automatic renewal terms are clearly presented, and customers must agree to those terms before completing enrollment. We also send confirmation emails after each order so members have a record of their purchase.

    In reviewing this account, we confirmed that the Unlimited Person Reports Membership was canceled on June 11, 2025. However, the Unlimited PDF and Data Monitoring Access remained active. We have now canceled that membership as of September 10, 2025, and issued a refund of $11.97 back to the original payment method. Refunds typically take 35 business days to appear, depending on your bank. No further charges will occur.

    I paid a one time .99 cent fee to TruthFinder to locate an old friend on August the 9th 2025 plus an additional $6.99 the same day. I was then charged an additional ****** August 11th 2025. Then charged ***** on August 14th. Was alerted today a charge of $6.99. I did not recognize these charges I found out its a place called *************** LLC I only authorized .99 cents on August 9th to TruthFinder now its a different name! I will tell everyone this is a dishonest site!

    After reviewing Ms. ****** account, it appears there may be some confusion with another company. On August 9, 2025, she enrolled with TruthFinder in a six-month Unlimited Person Reports Membership at the rate of $117.84, along with Unlimited PDF and Data Monitoring Access at $3.99. TruthFinder has never billed her $0.99, $35.13, or $6.99, and we have no affiliation with **********************************. All charges from our company clearly appear under TruthFinder with our customer support phone number included.

    We have canceled and disabled all memberships associated with this account. A full refund in the amount of $125.82 (the total billed by TruthFinder) has been issued back to the original payment method. Please allow 35 business days for the funds to appear, depending on the financial institution. No further charges will occur.

    This company publishes my personal information including my home address on their website without my permission. This is a violation of the California Privacy Rights Act. I will file a law suit if this information is not removed immediately. I will hold them responsible for any damage to me because of this information.

While we cannot remove specific records from a report, we do have the option to remove an entire background report from our site.

    In order to suppress Mr. ****** background report from appearing on TruthFinder.com and affiliated people search sites, he can access the Suppression Tool located at this link: ************************************************* and then select ************************* and Manage My Suppression Rules. He will be required to provide and validate some identifying information first. This is necessary so that we can match his information with a corresponding record and confirm that he is the subject of that record. The Suppression Tool is for personal use only and made available at our discretion and pursuant to the applicable Terms of Use, ************************************************.

    Mr. ****** request to remove his background report from the TruthFinder website will be applied to all people search sites within the PeopleConnect family, including TruthFinder.com, ************, ********************, and ************.

Most memberships function on a subscription model, meaning they renew automatically until the user decides to cancel, as outlined during the registration process. Our billing terms are explained on our registration page at ******************************************* and in our Terms of Use at ************************************************.

    Under normal circumstances, when a user activates an account with **********************, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing TruthFinder to charge their card or ******* including for the automatic renewal of their membership.

    After investigating, we located an account under the email address ************* This account has now been canceled and disabled to prevent any further access or charges. As per our refund policy, we have refunded $94.06 back to the original payment method. Please allow 35 business days for the credit to appear depending on the financial institution. No further charges will be incurred.

    Despite cancelling over 3 months ago, of which I have screen shot confirmation, their platform continues to charge my card. I even removed my payment method from their website and continued to be charged. They charged me yet again this month. According to the platform I do not have access as I do not have a membership since I cancelled. They are stealing my money. I have filed a claim with the bank.

    After review, we were able to locate multiple accounts. An account under *************************** was canceled on June 1, 2021. Another account under *********************** was canceled on July 3, 2025. A third account under *************************** remained active until this complaint. We have canceled this account as of today and, as per our refund policy, issued a refund of $30.21 back to the original payment method. We also attempted to issue an additional refund; however, the charge is already in dispute with ********************** institution, which prevents us from processing a duplicate credit.

    All memberships associated with Ms. ******* have now been canceled, and no further charges will occur.

    I cancelled subscription back in 2022. For some reason, theyve been taking money from my account since April. Even double charged in May or June. Theyve stolen a total of $193.92, since April to August 29, 2025, according to my bank statements. Their customer service number is a receding with options that ultimately lead to a click and disconnect with NO human interaction. I received my cancellation email. Then years later out of nowhere they began charging me.

However, we also located a second account created using the phone number provided in this complaint under the email ********************** This second account was activated on March 31, 2025, and shows use of the service to search for ***** ******, ****** ******, and **** ******. We did not receive a cancellation request for this account prior to this complaint.

    We have canceled the second account to prevent further charges and, as per our refund policy, issued a refund of $64.64 back to the original payment method. Please allow 35 business days for the credit to appear with your bank.

    Recieved a notifiction from my bank to show 2 charges from this business. I did not request information from this business and have never contacted this business. I have no idea why there are 2 charges pending from this business. I have never signed up for anything with this business. I do not know how they got my card information.     TruthFinder is a public records search engine that provides background reports compiled from publicly available sources. Most memberships function on a subscription model, renewing automatically until canceled, as clearly explained during the registration process on our signup page (*******************************************) and in our Terms of Use (************************************************). Under normal circumstances, when an account is created, the user provides an electronic signature authorizing TruthFinder to charge the selected payment method, including for automatic renewal.

    After reviewing this matter, we confirmed that an account was created under the name ********* **** using the email *********************************** and was used to search for ****** ****. While the account had already been canceled by the person who created it, we have taken the added step of disabling it to prevent any further access.

    In cases where a customer disputes a charge as unauthorized, our process is to immediately disable the account, cancel all memberships, and return the last charge to the original payment method. Consistent with that policy, we have refunded the two charges of $28.33 each back to the payment method used at enrollment. Depending on the consumers financial institution, it may take 35 business days for the credit to appear.
