I paid for there services on 10/17/24 for $288.00 . I paid for them to draft and file for me after I uploaded the documents. There were weeks of waiting. I called the Ellis county civil court at located at ************ in ***** ***** and they stated they have not recieved anything under ************************. There clerk indicated that they do not accept filing electronically and I would need to file in person. hence Squabble has been lying to me. I paid $40 more to file the forms and $127 to the defendant to be served. It was filed and served on 12/10/24 as I personally took time off work to get this done. I am asking for a full refund since they did not meet or complete the service I paid them for. I would like this credited immediately to original payment method

Our customers accept our terms of service when they use our services and part of that is reading directions and using our platform to submit documents required for filing cases. ******** made several incorrect submissions spanning over a month, dragging the process out unnecessarily. These submissions were missing signature/notaries as well as missing pages. After each failed submission we reached out with clear instructions as to what was needed and every submission she gets instructions on how to submit material. Furthermore, while true that some jurisdictions do not offer e-filing, they do offer other avenues such as physically filing by mail which is what Squabble often utilizes in these cases and what was used for ********** case. Again, these are laid out in our terms of service that the customer agreed to. We have already filed ******** ******* case when she had finally provided the material required. Thank you for your time.

We filed ******* case (Jdm Excavation And. Concrete) in a timely manner and according to local jurisdictional procedures. Upon acceptance, the courts will then issue an invoice to pay filing fees to finalize the filing and finally furnish accepted court documents to the plaintiff (Jdm Excavation And. Concrete). However, the court never contacted us at Squabble and only sent correspondence directly to the plaintiff in the case (our customer). After ***** received notice from the courts, he did email us immediately on 12/09/2024 about the open balance which is the correct thing to do according to our terms of service. We responded immediately on 12/09 that we would research the issue and followed up with another email the next morning on 12/10 asking for the invoice or case number so we can locate the invoice ourselves and pay the filing fee. He never responded to that last email. He sent us a new email on 12/11 indicating he would like a full refund as he had paid for the filing fee himself. According to our terms of service, our customers are to forward all correspondence received from the courts and use and abide by our processes as intended. We have performed on our part but were simply unable to complete our service due to his failure to supply the required information and/or material during a procedural matter.

I hired them to do some paperwork for a small courts claim. I also paid them to do the Process of Service. They said they weren't able to do it in time. I went to court and they told me that they must tell them to contact the court and officially state they weren't able to provide the Process of Service. However, they haven't replied to any of my emails, after numerous attempts over the course of three weeks. This is very unprofessional and I regret choosing them.

    Hello Naivi,

I hope you are doing well. We take our customer complaints seriously and have investigated the issue and immediately contacted the clerk as well, verifying your case is still active. We have responded to your emails, however, we were operating under the assumption the process server had filed a return of service, which was not received by the courts. We have since contacted the process server to file the missing return of service and have motioned the court for a new summons. We will contact you shortly to further discuss your case.

We certainly value you as a customer and well get your case back on track.

To save time, I hired Squabble to file the paperwork for a claim against my car insurance company. I paid $559.00 which included the filing fee and fee to have the insurance company served. To my surprise, I received a notice from the courts that the check (#0099) that Squabble wrote for my case to the courts was returned and not paid, and that "I" would have to pay the $75 filing fee (which I had already paid to them) plus an additional $25 admin fee by 10/01/2024 or my case would be dropped and removed from the calendar. I reached out to Squabble multiple times before any response, but when they did respond they told me they had a "Check Sequencing" issue and they refiled my case with another check (#2365). In short, I told them okay, but we still needed to resolve the returned check and if they could get me a copy of the check they wrote that cleared (assuming it did and assuming they wrote something on the check that tied the two checks together with my case...AND they would still have to pay the $25 admin fee at a minimum.
Because I am going to run short on characters to go through every part of this I reached out to them on 10/01 earlier in the day because I had not heard back from them other than they would send a check. I asked who/where and how much, and no response. I called the court and they said they had nothing there from anyone and the total of $100 had to be paid by 4:00 PM PST. I asked if there might be another case # or anything else they could check to see if it had been taken care of and they said no. So it was getting late in the day on 10/01 and I drove to the court and paid the $100 that they said needed to be paid. When I got home I was checking my emails and saw 3 different emails from them none of which would help me because they were sent at 4:44 PM PST which was 44 minutes late from when the fee had to be paid. NOTE: One of the emails said a check had been sent, but No Proof or Copy of Anything showing it was.

Paid for a lawsuit to be filed. After I paid, they informed me that I needed to change the amount I was seeking beacuse they can't file a civil claim unless I pay more. I demanded a refund and they demanded I pay more.

Over a month they ignored my emails and did nothing for my case and refunded 20% of what I paid.

No customer service number to call and only an email that's hard to get a hold of anyone

you guys always say email, but you don't answer emails.  I habe emailed several times with no response or a week between responses.

THere is no phone humber to call.   At this time, you guys have stolen money from me.

give me a phone number to call.  It's been 3 months of emailing...

    Business Response

    ******,

All of our one-on-one conversations are scheduled and done through Google Meet. I cannot provide the link to you in this public forum. If you email [email protected] you can provide your phone number and a time to contact you and we will either set it up or send you a link to schedule it online.

We have emails from you from May that we have responded to. All we needed from you was to pay the additional filing fee that California charges for higher claim amounts that cannot be sent to small claims. We could have and can still handle the filing for you as a limited civil case. After that there may need to be some documents that are required to be notarized.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 10/04/2024

I specifically told you in may that I didn't want to pay the higher amount and all you did was ignore my emails and then attempt to refund 80 bucks.  You should never have taken my 465 bucks in the first place knowing that you would need more money or couldn't file it.

I kept saying no thanks and refund... you guys filed noting bit kept almost 400 bucks of my money knowing that you weren't gonna take the case

And I have emailed that email. You guys continue to ignore .... I emailed the other day a good phone number. You are still ignoring me

I used this app to file a small claims case. After paying for everything, they claim that they were unable to serve the business in question. Therefore, they are requesting even more money to try to serve it again! Seems to me, that if they would send a "signature needed" letter it would have worked! Very sorry that I spent/wasted all of that money and "still" have to do it all myself!

I recently paid SQUABBLE to handle my Small Claims Court action against **************. I paid nearly $600.SQUABBLE ignores my requirements:* $7,500 requested for the small claims action; not $10,000; not $6,900 - simply $7,500 - I'm being ignored.* I've emailed SQUABBLE the following documents that must be incorporated into the small claims action, but SQUABBLE agents are ignoring me: ***************************************************************************************************************** THESE documents are essential to win my case.

    Business Response

    *****,

We are not trying to ignore you. You have 21 separate support tickets in our system and it was escalated to your case agent.

You have a scheduled meeting with your case agent (which you scheduled online) for Monday at 7:30am to help sort this out for you, answer your questions and explain what can be done in the California courts.

I can see right away the main issue at the moment is you are suing as a Trust and the maximum amount in small claims in that case is $6,250. The maximum for an individual is $12,500.

You can discuss with your case agent whether or not your Trust can file using the individual limits or if it might be better to sue just as yourself (an individual) in order to take advantage of the higher limits. In this case you can indeed sue for $7,500 and we always add in the costs of your services and interest in the claim. So, it will actually be for a higher amount. If you don't want to get the money you've spent back from the defendant for some reason, then you can let the judge know at your hearing. You can always ask for less, but it is difficult or impossible to ask for more. Ideally, this matter will be settled outside of court before the court hearing.

Squabble advertised they can help people file a small claims case and save them time and money. I applied and paid $300. Thus far, they have done nothing except give me the run around. Their MO is to take peoples money and then disappear. My case is in *****. I tried calling, texting, and email, and they never returned my calls or respond. I hate it when a company steals your money and ghosts you! They should be put out of business and their website be taken down to protect the public.

    *****,

I've been watching the progress of your claim. I can see that your case was accepted by the court 8 days ago. You have a virtual hearing scheduled for November 5th.

Have you received your documents? You need to execute lawful service of process on the defendant (serve them the court summons). You did not pay the optional fee for us to manage that for you through our partner company, ABC Legal. You will need to execute lawful service of process yourself, hire a process server or contact our team to have us help manage that for you.

Placed an order for Small ********************* from company Squabble.com on 6/10/2024 and as of 6/11/2024 I no longer need their service as I have resolved the issue with the defendant as I called him and told him I was seeking legal consultation and he agreed to pay me the money owed. I sent a e-mail within the hour of purchasing this service and have had no luck calling their number or response thru e-mail, I can dispute this with my credit card also if need be and get a refund, but figured let the BBB handle this as they have dealt with this company before. ***
