I needed to file a small claims case to retrieve some of the costs of damage to my son's stolen truck and missing contents for a service center from which it was stolen and who claimed no responsibility for it. On 1/13/23, I paid Squabble $60 to help me with this. I received a filled-out form for the court with a packet of other forms and a template for a demand letter (apparently not done by someone who had to write one and had no place for the date!). I was to send the copy of the claim form and the packet along with the demand letter to the ******* center. The small claims court form was not filled out with all of the information I needed it to have, and some needed to be removed as they told me to remove any personal information, so I emailed them to ask for a correctable form. The reply was just to "white it out" - definitely NOT professional. The form had been scanned in and I couldn't convert it to an editable PDF. Additionally, some of the other forms they sent were forms that should NOT be sent to the service center along with the demand letter, including a form which I was supposed to sign that I was happy with the wording of the claim form - which I wasn't. I emailed them 5 more times to tell them I WASN'T happy and wanted to change it. To date, 2/4/23, I have not gotten ANY response from them. Their claims that they will help you with "ready-to-file" paperwork and other help is completely wrong. Apparently, they have a non-professional get the form, cut and paste the info I gave them originally into the form, and who doesn't even fill out some of the other parts. They won't let me add or change any info on the form. I paid $60 for this! I believe this company should be stopped from doing business! Their service is shoddy, the representative who handles your case is not a lawyer, and they do not do what they say they will.

I purchased the $300 package on Squabble, and was charged more than $500 instead. When I wrote / replied to the receipt email, the bot auto responded with a message about the company being backlogged and that they apologize for the delay. Then, they pushed me to lower my claim from the full amount to the county *** of $5,000. Then, they scheduled a phone call for 15 minutes, and although they never called at the appointed time, they escalated my case to what they call "triple check" and then emailed me a thank you for the phone verification! Every email that I send to requesting a refund and cancellation of my order, gets replied to again that they apologize for being backlogged. There is no phone number or email for conflict resolution, and for that reason, I need the BBB to address this consumer violation. Also, their FAQ makes a claim that their cancellation fee may be higher than the original cost of services. How dare they!

Squabble is an online, app based legal service provider that claims to guarantee the proper filing and assistance in adjudicating in small claims courts. Part of their guarantee is that their attorneys will "do all the work" including triple checking all details before filing. In my case, they failed to check that the information for the claimed defendant including the address I provided matched the Secretary of State business records for the appropriate agent for service of process. Because of their failure to adequately check (as they promise they do) they impleaded and served an improper defendant. When I discovered that they did this, they refused to comply with their guarantee and claimed that they had done things properly based on the information I provided. They did not. I had to start the entire **************** again including paying another 300 dollars. they refused to refund me for the erroneous filing and kept the $300 I paid for that. I never would have utilized this service or agreed to pay if their guarantee was not clear that they will ensure everything is proper. A basic diligence check would have indicated that the defendant they named and served with process was not the owner of the address I also provided. I gave them the appropriate name, address, and significant details to ensure they had all they needed but they failed. I was told their attorneys said this was not a failure on their part--it was. Any attorney would improperly pleads and serves the wrong defendant in a case cannot keep their clients money and tell them to pay AGAIN to have the entire process start all over again. They refused to refund me the money and denied me the opportunity to speak to a manager or supervisor despite me requesting this multiple times via email. By denying me the chance to speak with a supervisor or manager I was denied my right as a consumer and client of the company. They only communicate via email and selectively reply to communications.

I contacted SquabbleApp for a lawsuit complaint on 12/30 and paid 330 for their service. I decided I no longer wanted to pursue on that same day and cancelled. The representative (*************************) responded via email that they would issue the refund since the triple check hadnt started. Since that time Ive been totally ignored and no refund given. There isnt a contact number to even call them.
