      Yard House is a charming restaurant. However, I stopped going to it in 2008 when an executive with Yard House donated funds to the ********** Yes on Proposition 8 initiative that would and did make same-sex marriages illegal in **********. This bothered me greatly as a proud gay man. Last Friday, October 20, 2023, I returned to this Yard House Restaurant, where I sat at the bar and was served wonderfully by ****. **** was attentive and provided for a few laughs, which I truly enjoyed. After attending a very long movie across the way, I returned to the same Yard House to be served eventually by ******. ****** nor anyone else would serve me for the first 20 minutes that I was seated at the bar. When he finally served me, he was aloof and very uncaring. He treated all the customers behind the bar like that. He only seemed to care about getting my credit card to run a tab. I returned home immediately and filed a complaint with the Corporate Level of Yard House online. Today, October 23, 2023, I received correspondence from ***** at the Corporate Level. It is obvious that ***** didn't read my complaint whatsoever. She directed me to contact the same Yard House restaurant for fundraising purposes. I had no intention of doing any fundraising activity at all. I take it as a "slap in the face" that she didn't bother reading my correspondence. I do want my money back from my time at Yard House last Friday. I would like a manager of the ******** Yard House to call me to discuss this. And then I will never return to the Yard House Restaurant again. Yard House is clearly not in touch with its customers whatsoever.

      *** lived in ******** my whole life and have been a customer at this yard ********************** since I was a child. I Went in yesterday on my day off to watch a dodger game. The server asked for our IDs to make sure they were real. My wife and I handed our IDs to the server. It took 20 minutes for them to verify that our IDs were real. Server came back with manger *************************** because they had further questions. My wife is not a citizen but has a real ID given to her by the *******************. I understood the confusion on the part of the manager. My wifes expiration date on her ID does not match her DOB. *************************** then asked to see another form of ID from my wife. I was upset at this point but complied. We showed him my wifes work permit at which point he said, I now believe you, but if I thought this was fake I could still take this from you. He said this in an antagonizing and menacing tone while waving my wifes ID in her face. This was after he had verified that her ID was legitimate. At this point my wife is in tears. *************************** then sarcastically offered to buy us both a round of drinks. We refused and left the restaurant. I walked my wife to our car and went back to the restaurant by myself to file a complaint. This is when I met ******* the other manager. I explained to her what had happened and I asked her for a number to call to file a complaint on ***************************. I waited there for 10 minutes before I was given a number (the first number they gave me was for IT support). I dont think me and my wife could ever come back to this restaurant while *************************** is still working there. Im a medical student and do not much have free time. However, I have a meeting with a lawyer this week to discuss whether or not this constitutes as discrimination and denial of service. I wanted to write this review just in case anyone else has had similar negative experiences with ***************************. No one should be treated this way.
