This company, originally called Exafunction, now operates under the name "Windsurf" (REMOVED). In its early stages, the company promised a $10/month pricing plan forever for all its "early adopter" users. However, they have since broken that promise by changing the "$10/month forever" pricing to "$10/month for one year only."Additionally, they revoked some early users $10/month perks when those users paused and resumed their memberships, citing a pricing policy change that was never clearly communicated. When contacted, their support team claims users were informed via an email sent in April. However, that email links to this blog post: REMOVED/blog/pricing-v2, which makes no mention of canceling early adopter REMOVEDfact, the blog post falsely reassures users that "all early adopters will keep their perks for the next year," contradicting the original promise of $10/month forever. This is why these actions are deceptive. The company used the "$10/month forever" promise to attract a large user base and boost their value. After selling the company for billions, they quietly began revoking those early adopter perks through vague or unannounced policy changes, essentially breaking their original promises and misleading the very users who helped them REMOVEDare some examples of the affected users:REMOVED
