Study.com offers a great homeschooling curriculum. We just enrolled in the annual homeschool program to save 45% - this is a huge savings compared to what we were previously paying with another online academy. For what we paid Study.com for 12 months, we would paid that in 2 months with our previous program. Study.com also offers a lot more flexibility. We are choosing to follow the 6th grade and the 8th grade curriculum for our two daughters; however, we have the options to choose different classes if we like. We began a "soft" start to our homeschool year by adding Math, Spanish, and Phys.Ed. (we are using this to meet their health requirement). Study.com videos are educational and engaging. We can print out the video transcript, a fill-in-the-blank worksheet, and a quiz prep worksheet. This makes it very easy for our daughters to learn and study the material. Although they can take the quizzes multiple times, we ask them to try to get XX-XXX% within the first 2 attempts so that we know they are really studying to do their best. So far, they both have XX-XXX% grades plus they are on track or ahead of schedule. I can see their progress in the parent dashboard which is super convenient. Even though we have only been using Study.com for 3 weeks, I am confident that when we add other classes in 1 month, we will continue to enjoy all the benefits that Study.com can offer us!Study.com

I loved the ease of Study.com. This website has everything you need to teach a meaningful and targeted lesson tied to your standards. Study.com eliminates the need for detailed planning. Additionally, the quality of the information and the range of topics available are other qualities I love about Study.com. Membership includes access to videos, and quizzes along with easy-to-read text. Study.com supports the curriculum especially if you are looking for grade-level appropriate materials for Social Studies and Science. I use it in a brick-and-mortar classroom, when teaching and tutoring online, and even with high-level ESL students online. I love that the quizzes are short, yet leave the students with meaningful takeaways. I also love that if students get an answer incorrect, they get direct feedback to show them where in the passage ** video the correct answer was discussed. It is definitely worth the money.Study.com

The negative reviews seem to come from people who didn't utilize the full benefits of study.com. Yes, it may seem like a large price tag for a a monthly subscription, but the classes I took on study.com transferred to my university. This literally saved me thousands of dollars and allow me to finish school in 1/2 of the time . If you are a dedicated student and can stay motivated without any help. This is the website for you !Study.com

They charge you an arm and a leg for the monthly membership, and on the date it's time to take the exam their proctored exam application is not compatible with today's computers that are on the market. Very discouraging. Waste of time and money. support staff pretended to help me, however, just to ultimately tell me to take the exam on a different computer.Study.com

Thank you for writing in. I am sorry that your computer did not meet the downloadable requirements where tests are monitored virtually through our third-party partner, Software Secure. We understand the frustration when issues arise and do not want you to lose out on obtaining your ACE college credit. Some possible ideas to still take the proctored exam are asking a family or friend to use their computer or laptop or reaching out to your public library for laptop rentals. It is definitely a pricey program if you forget about it and do not stick to a schedule of your own to complete courses, but if you do, it is totally worth it. I am using it in conjunction with going to college to earn some college credit for my degree. If you stick to a schedule, it is much cheaper than taking the courses at a university. I am also very much a visual learner, so the videos and short quizzes keep my attention and are easier to understand rather than just sitting in a lecture for a few hours. I also like how if you stop billing for a while it doe not get rid of the progress you have made, you can always pick it back up later.Study.com
