I want to share my experience so others can make an informed ********* main reason for switching was to get faster speeds, but my download speed was cut in half, from 1 Gbps with *** to around 500 Mbps with Google Fiber. While my upload speed did increase significantly, going from 200 Mbps to 500 Mbps, my download speed is far more important for my daily use.Beyond the speed issues, the service has been unreliable. I have experienced more frequent outages in the short time I've had Google Fiber than I ever did with ***. The connection seems far less stable.Finally, I am particularly frustrated to learn that the connection is not actually "fiber to the home" as I expected. The fiber cable only runs to the outside of my property, and the final connection to my home is via a standard Cat 5 cable. This feels like a significant step backward in technology and is not what I was sold on.I would advise anyone in ********* considering the switch to Google Fiber to think twice and carefully evaluate if it's the right choice for their needs. The decrease in download speed and increase in outages have been very disappointing.

      Sadly, I couldn't rate lower. ********* has been a nightmare for me. 2024, they started double charging me for *********** After a long hassle they agreed a mistake was made, and refunded the overages.This year, since January of 2025, they have been charging 2 separate cards, each month! Trying to contact them is nearly impossible. ***** a month times two! plus additional charges. I contacted ********************************** and filed a complaint. Google sent an E Mail to them, advising me to follow the same steps that were impossible to figure out in first place.I doubt seriously that the overage funds will be seen again. Google says this complaint is closed. I do NOT concur!However, using my experience as a suggestion for others looking for streaming services?I recommend you look elsewhere the Google YouTubeTV. From other postings, I'm not alone in that thought.Take Care and Stay Safe.

      I downloaded an app on play store and the free trial was for 7 days. I use the app one day decided I did not want it did not follow through with the purchase or subscription if you will. For the last week and a half at least six times a day Google Play is trying to take the money out of my card. There is no way to get ahold of anyone physically to talk to them about it and the numbers listed on Google to call Google customer service are the wrong numbers they will not stop until they get the money and then they will not refund the money so I don't know what to do they will not stop when my money gets into that card to pay my rent they're going to take their money and I'll be short on my rent and there's no way to stop it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do.

      Have spoken with Google support for 2 months and counting for assistance with Google play cards that are Not working or valid they've stated. Have receipt foe purchase and yet the store does not provide assistance or refund for bad cards. Google every 2 weeks says they will elevate and resolve within 14 days. Have to reenter info each time inorder to get a chat. There is NO telephone number for support.

      Google Account Recovery Failure Refusal to Accept Verification Documents Issue Summary:Despite numerous attempts (over 50 times), Googles account recovery system has failed to restore access to my account . The automated process only provides a useless recovery link in a loop, refusing to accept any identity verification documents (such as government ID, past passwords, purchase receipts, or associated phone/email details).Key Problems:No Human Support Googles system denies manual review despite clear proof of ownership.False Recovery Options The same broken link is provided repeatedly with no real solution.Violation of Googles Own Policy Google claims to accept documents for verification , but the system blocks all *********************/Data Harm If the account contains important emails, purchases, or business data, mention the damages.Demanded Resolution:? Immediate manual review by a Google support specialist.? Restoration of account access or a valid explanation for denial.? Proof that Googles recovery system is fixed to prevent this for others.

      This ************************** is now adding advertising to the feeds of ad free paid accounts. It shows as a video in the feed but it can not be deleted or take any action that can normally be taken on a regular video. So, we paid over $20 to have the service they force on us and not what they selling. This is false advertising and breach of contract.

      Google sold me a brand new Pixel 8 which could not connect to the internet. They claim that they tried to help resolve the issue, yet I scheduled 3 different phone calls with tech support and each time they missed our scheduled appointment. They would then call me during work and harass me saying things like "it will only take 5 minutes, we dont need to reschedule a time."This went on for months before they simply stopped responding. They still, to this day, never showed up to a single scheduled appointment. I have the email and call logs to prove it. They offered me a 25 dollar credit as an apology for my 1000 dollar device simply not working.
