      I purchased a pair of Sketchers Go Run shoes while on vacation the last week in Oct., 2023. I purchased them at a Bealls store in *******. I filed a complaint on March 1, regarding a defect in the shoes. A hard piece of the shoe had come apart in the heal and felt like a rock, so was unable to wear the shoes. The first reply stated that their policy was to a replace a shoe with a defect within 2 years of purchase. I was told to take several photos, and all information from the label on the inside of the shoe. I sent in everything that was asked for, and then received a response stating due to the manufacturing date of the shoes they were not eligible for replacement. As a consumer, I have never checked a manufacturers date, not would I know how to read that code. I have no idea when shoes are manufactured, I only know that I had purchased them less than 5 months prior than the inside heal coming apart and causing the shoe to be unwearable. I was offered 35% off on another pair of shoes, and was told the defect was due to normal wear and tear. I would like the shoes to be replaced, as their policy states. Normal wear and tear would not cause a broken piece of plastic inside the fabric of the heal of a shoe.

      *************************** **************************************************************************************** APRIL 1, 2024 CEO SKECHERS USA, INC.330 ***************************** ***************, ** ***** ATTENTION: ******************************* UNFORTUNATELY, IM WRITING THIS LETTER TO YOU TO EXPRESS MY COMPLETE DISSATIFACTION WITH MY LAST TWO SKECHER SHOE PURCHASES. THE FIRST PAIR SHOWED SIGNS OF INTERIOR FATIGUE WITHIN THREE WEEKS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. I RETURNED THEM TO AMAZON AND THEY REPLACED THEM WITH THE SAME MODEL. BEFORE I RETURNED THE SHOES I CALLED YOUR OUTLET STORE IN ********, **. AND WAS ADVISED THAT ALTHOUGH RARE IT DOES HAPPEN BUT IN ANYCASE BECAUSE I PURCHASED THEM DIRECTLY THRU AMAZON AND NOT SKECHERS AMAZON IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WARRANTY? THE SECOND PAIR DEVELOPED THE SAME ISSUE AT ABOUT FIVE MONTHS AND I CALLED YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHO ACKNOWLEDGED MY CONCERN, SENT ME CLAIM INFORMATION WHICH I RETURNED PROMPTLY. THE PICTURES ARE CLEAR THAT THE SAME ISSUE (PREMATURE INTERIOR WEAR) AS MY FIRST PAIR HAS DEVELOPED IN THE SECOND PAIR. IM BEING TOLD TO SEND THEM BACK ON MY DIME AND AT SKECHERS DESCRETION (IF DEEMED DEFECTIVE) I MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE THEM REPAIRED / REPLACED ONCE THEY CLEAR THE INSPECTION? THIS IS TOTAL BS AND YOU KNOW IT. I STILL HAVE A TWENTY-FIVE PLUS YEAR OLD PAIR OF SKECHER SHOES THAT I WOULD CONSIDER IN LIKE NEW CONDITION AND HAVE PURCHASED PLENTY OF SKECHERS SINCE THAT PURCHASE THAT HAVE LASTED 5 PLUS YEARS EACH. IT IS CUSTOMERS LIKE ME THAT HAVE MADE YOUR COMPANY SUCCESSFUL.
