I was looking for help resolving my tax issue with the *** , I told this company that I already had another company rookie for me. They assured me that they could help me, and now they have takenmoney out of my bank account and when I called to cancel the assistance that I needed they refused to give me my money back and theyre taking money out of my accountBusiness Response

We appreciate Ms. ******** for bringing this matter to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to clarify her case status.
After reviewing our records, Ms. ******** elected to move forward with our services at the end of May following a call with our ***************************** During this call, she informed our representative that the company she was previously working with was unable to assist her in resolving her tax liability. Based on that conversation, our team moved forward in good faith to assist Ms. ********* outlined the steps required, and scheduled her appointment with her assigned case manager.
Following that appointment, her case manager explained that there was an ID theft hold on her *** account that needed to be resolved before we could proceed with any resolution work. This was also brought to her attention in November of 2024. Additionally, we began discussions about preparing her 2024 tax return as part of her overall case.
Since then, weve attempted multiple follow-ups following her attempt to connect with her case manager again but have been unsuccessful in re-establishing contact. Most recently, we reached out on 7/18/25 in response to this complaint and are awaiting Ms. ********* availability to discuss her concerns directly.
We remain committed to providing support and are happy to discuss any outstanding concerns or questions regarding her services. We encourage Ms. ******** to respond so we may work toward a resolution.

We signed up for tax filing services for 3 years of back taxes. They knew up front that this was for a senior citizen without any tax liability. What they did was steal 375$ to do an investigation to make sure he had no tax liability which we told them before they charged us any money. What are you investigating? You were supposed to pull transcripts and file my back taxes. Both the salesperson and the case worker promised me a tax return. Simply pull the audio recording of the scammer scamming us and you will see but I'll bet my shorts they mysteriously don't have it... The case worker said my return would be 600$ which doesn't make any sense when I think about it. I check my bank account everyday waiting and hoping. After weeks and months pass I called to see what the status of my tax return is and they act like they haven't the faintest clue what I am talking about. The guy on the phone is trained very well to be ignorant and just take a message which never EVER gets returned. I have called and emailed many times. They refuse to even get on the phone and explain themselves. After discussing this issue with a 2 friends that used to work for the *** it seems that nobody besides me, myself, and I can even obtain transcripts from the *** on my behalf. If that is true this was all a grand lie from the start. They act like they are Christian people and use God to scam senior citizens. Disgusting! ??P.S. I should have known something was amiss when they wouldn't take information about the dependent I am claiming. Scam artists... Good ones too. You can give me back my money so I can start over from the beginning with an accountant. You can also finish the job if you even perform actual tax work. Your choice...Business Response

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and concerns regarding my recent experience with Taxrise I believe my experience may highlight broader issues with the company's practices that should be addressed.From the outset of our interaction, I was subjected to high-pressure sales tactics and what I perceive as misleading sales techniques. Your website prominently features an eagle emblem, which can understandably give the impression of a government affiliation, causing potential confusion among customers, including myself. This representation could falsely lead one to believe they are receiving official government assistance rather than engaging with a private entity.Furthermore, the information provided to me during our initial consultation implied that interaction with the *** was severely limited, contrary to later findings that indicated a wider scope for negotiation and compromise directly with the ***. This discrepancy contributed to a lack of trust and transparency which is concerning.I was also rushed through the sales process and pressured into signing documents via ******** without providing ample time for review and consideration. Additionally, despite assurances that my account would not be debited until Friday, an unauthorized attempt to process the payment was made on Thursday, which I found to be unethical and indicative of prioritizing financial gain over customer service.Had I been aware of the negative reviews and complaints, totaling 205 across various platforms, I would have reconsidered engaging with your company. My experience reflects a need for improved customer service protocols and a more ethical approach to sales and communication.I believe it is important for you to be aware of these issues to prevent them from affecting other customers in the future. I called tax rose for help with IRS issue , they charged me $3,200 , after paying I attempted to get through and see the status of my case , I get the run around , I havent heard from them and when I do call they say person assigned to my case will contact me. While his request was submitted within the appropriate cancellation window, the retainer payment had already begun processing prior to its receipt.
A representative has since spoken with Mr. ****** to confirm the cancellation and initiate the refund process. As he canceled within the policy window outlined in his agreement, a full refund of the retainer payment will be issued by check. I was told by TaxRise that they would workout an agreement with the *** on a tax resolution and that they would file my taxes. For over 6 months they have taken money from my bank account and have not done any services that we agreed on and when I try to call every number associated with this business they all dont work. I signed up for tax relief with taxRise. I paid $1=375 by cc and they called me 2 weeks later telling me what I owed. I told them (***** the sales guy) I was buying a house and he said that the relief had no baring on my decision and that Tax Rise could help me lower my tax owed. I said ok - gave them $8000 - in talking with my loan officer for my new home they said that i would need to pay may taxes before I could get the loan. The loan officer said we would put the owed taxes in ******. I then sent an email to Tax Rise and wanted a refund for my tax debt because I would have to pay the whole amount through escrow. I have sent multiple emails requesting a refund. I received a call from Tax Rise and they said they would get back to me and i have heard NOTHING. This company is the worst. Lies, all I have to say. They make promises they do not keep while you continue to flip the bill monthly. Just reach out tot he IRS and settle or make a payment plan yourself with them... they had me paying for about 2 years now ($500.00/monthly) and still no settlement??!! That money could've just gone towards my very large tax bill. From one entrepreneur to another, don't use them. I hope this really help someone save their very hard earned money. I have reached out several times and NO ONE will gives me any answers, tehy keep giving me the run around and in the meantime I'm paying them $500.00 for no reason at all!! They don't even give me updates, unless I call and harass them!Initially had a great sales guy making a million promises, then get you a rep ***** half decent... as the time goes on they assign you with worse and worse customer service people, or work so you have no case manager and then have to re-explain yourself every single time you call because no one knows who you are... Paid 6k towards a tax solution that was no solution at all. For the "small percentage of the money they saved me" which is 30%. Is 30% a small percentage? They suggested I wait out the liability statute of limitations on my debt rather than actually resolve the debt in any meaningful way. I've asked for a refund of the funds I paid and am having a difficult time even getting in touch with anyone at the company without waiting more than an hour on hold. When I do finally reach an "agent" I'm told that this isn't their department and they can't help me. Im then told i will have to wait a few days to hear back about this, meaning whether they will return my money, and how much?? I requested my refund well within a 3 day stipulation they imposed. We reached out to them to help our Tax problems, My husbands wages are garnished by the State of California, our first interaction was with ***, he assured us that their company could help us, and he gave us a fee of $562.50, never mentioned any other fees and stated that they could have the Garnishment removed within 7-10 days, never happened. Then we were put in touch with ******, who also assured that they could get the Garnishment removed and help us with our State and Federal taxes owed, we went over everything about our finances. We kept asking ****** about what the payments would be to State and Federal taxes, he would never give us those answers, instead he said if we wanted their help, their fee would be $9500, we immediately told him we dont have that kind of money and then he said they had loan specialists, we said NO WAY, thats putting us in further debt. Woke up on 6/30/25, checked my email and noticed an email stating that our $9500 payment was declined, we NEVER gave them any authorization to run any payments, nothing is completed, they have not done anything to help us, and by not telling us what kind of payments we would be paying. This $9500 dollar payment was never approved, ****** was very shady with the questions we were asking, and never would answer our questions. I also made a Police Report for them trying to take money out of our account, they did not have permission and that is considered Fraud!! I have asked them to refund our $562.50!! They were scamming us. ****** has not returned our phone calls or emails, we want our money back, they are misleading and they thought they could scam us!!
