      I initiated services with them 11/24/2023 and made my payment and then followed through on sending documentation they requested. It has been months and I continue to call them and ask for an update and they tell me they will have someone call me and no one EVER calls me. I have escalated this complaint to them on several occasions and I continue to not receive a call back or communication from them. My online portal does not even allow me to message them directly, I now have to call in and talk to someone and they escalate the issue and state someone will call me and that never happens. I feel like they have scammed me out of my money and have not provided me any services. I want help resolving this or a full refund.

      Taxrise was hired by ** 2022 to assist us with our taxes. They have taken $500 deposit plus ****** monthly payment since then. Never heard from them and then we receive papers from IRS stating that an Installment Agreement was made by Taxrise over a month ago for $285 month and our balance is still the same. Meaning Taxrise did absolutely nothing. They never even contacted us to let us know of the situation, the installment agreement or anything. We are discussed with this company and want our money back- over $3000.

      I hired this company back in 2020 to do my 2018 taxes paid in full right away $3200 plus minus. giving me excuses on why they didnt file my taxes and I had to give them more documents. They never filed my taxes and caused me to have two separate liens on my bank account. The last one was about five days ago and the tax request that I give them my new taxes so that they can proceed with filing them, that was never the original contract thing was they had me paying full and they never submitted my taxes. All I want is a refund they keep telling me no push me off and like I said *** already received two bank accounts over this matter and it says in the contract they protect against that refund . Also, Im having a bankruptcy because of all of this stuff not solely because it is but Im having a file bankruptcy now so I just want to refund Refusing to give me

      I have reviewed the client's case to ensure that we have taken the appropriate steps that align with our goals to provide our clients with clear communication and support throughout their time with us. After further review, I do see that we have taken many steps towards resolving the client's liability. This includes attempting to submit for an Offer in Compromise which has been rejected, which has extended the overall timeline. In addition, the client did not notify of us of any collection actions and they are advised that they are responsible for that communication to ensure that we can take the appropriate steps to stop these actions. I do see that the client has been in contact with our ***************** team about their concerns and the agent explained this information as well. However, I will have a member of ***************** review the case in detail to ensure all steps were taken appropriately.

      I joined with TaxRise on 11/25/2022 and paid $500 for their services in helping me lower what I owed to the *** in back taxes. Since then, I have paid an additional $2,492 in monthly installment payments for "legal fees" to have my case "reviewed." I have reached out to customer support and recieved nothing back. I had previously called and complained about the lack of information that was given to me at time of enrollment into the program and requested my "recorded conversations." I was not told the amount I would have to pay OR that a percentage of payment needed to be paid BEFORE work on my case would even begin. At this time, I have now incurred $1,217.95 in Failure to Pay Penalties from the *** and a growing interest on what is still owed. I was told at time of enrollment that once my case was taken on, I would NOT incur penalties and was told to STOP making my monthly payments to the *** for past taxes owed. All of which is captured on my recorded call.

I was able to locate **************** case and see that she is currently working with a Case Manager who spoke with her today. However, I want to ensure that she was told accurate information from the start and that we set clear expectations on how our process works. We do handle all complaints and concerns internally through our ***************************** I reviewed the case and did not see an open ticket for ************ so I have opened one at this time on her behalf. A member of our team will reach out to the client within ***** business hours to review further.

      Tax Rise collected $3,100 from me to do some tax services for me they gave me a $6,700 fee to pay them I realized that was too much and I wanted out of the program I gave them $2,000 dollars at the beginning in late December 2023 and they set up direct deposit withdrawal from my bank account at the beginning of the month for the next 8 months for $600 with out my knowledge they never explained that to me I would have never agreed to that it's too much money they did a $600 dollar withdrawal at the beginning of February 2024 I called my bank and put a stop to Tax Rise they mislead me from the beginning

      Our **************************** has previously been in contact with Ms. ******. I reviewed her case and do see that she was dissatisfied with the outcome of her services and our agent followed the appropriate steps by letting **************************** know about her dissatisfaction. Our QA Agents have explained that we completed the services that she signed up for. Although she had previously been in contact with our QA Team, we are more than happy to set up a call to further discuss her experience and see if there are any other concessions that the client may qualify for. We will have a member of the team review the case and follow up within ***** business hours.

      I realize I have been scammed just like all the other people who have complained about this company. The lady was unprofessional and seemed upset that I wasn't about to pay ANOTHER $250 and I wanted a refund. She said "well what are you gonna do?!" Referring to my IRS debt which was confrontational and aggressive for a representative. She made it clear it would be difficult to get the refund and I'm thinking I may have to replace the card info I gave them..BBB PLEASE HELP! I desperately need that money back to do my taxes the right way and won't make this mistake again.

      I appreciate the time that ************** took to provide us with the detailed feedback surrounding his experience. I was able to locate his account and see that the client signed up for a Tax Investigation for the price of $500 on March 3rd and signed a service agreement explaining the services included:

      "Filling of Form 8821 - Tax Information Authorization to obtain privileged tax information, obtaining the clients tax transcripts, reviewing and analyzing the clients tax transcripts to determine their compliance status and the extent of their tax liability (if any), and determining a resolution plan for the clients situation, if the client owes a tax liability or is not compliant."

      I do see that he spoke with our ****************** and the client indicated that they had a different solution, which is what prompted them to ask what solutions the client had found outside of our services. Although the client has only completed half of the payments, these services have been completed at this time. Should ************** want to continue and receive the outcome of the Tax Investigation, we can set up an appointment to disclose these details. However, due to the services being completed, this is why ************** does not qualify for a refund. I will open a ticket on the client's behalf indicating their request for cancellation and a member of ***************** will reach out to ************** to discuss further if needed.

      Unethical, pushy, scammy, and threatened to steal from me. I contacted them to see if they could negotiate down my tax burden. After spending the $500 they came back to tell me I could get on a payment plan, but they couldnt reduce my debt. To get on said payment plan would cost $4000. I didnt need this, and told them no thanks. Not only did they not listen to me, they tried to hard sell me on a service I didnt need. They also refused to refund my money. After about two months they called me again, left a voicemail (which I still have). Telling me that they were going to charge my account $4000, and named the last four digits of my checking account, saying it was in my best interests to call them back. Then texted me a similar message. I texted back that charging me would be fraud. I have not heard from them and was not charged.To be clear, they tried to push me into something one can easily negotiate with the *** for. I said no. Then they literally threatened to charge me. I would advise to stay away. Good reviews can easily be purchased. Id share the voicemail but it has identifying info. Anyone with legal need for this can contact me.

I apologize for any confusion surrounding a possible second charge that he did not authorize. I did just review his case and there has been no additional charge outside of the original charge for the service that was rendered. To further explain:
      The client signed up for a Tax Investigation for the price of $500 on January 18th and signed a service agreement explaining the services included: Filling of Form 8821 - Tax Information Authorization to obtain privileged tax information, obtaining the clients tax transcripts, reviewing and analyzing the clients tax transcripts to determine their compliance status and the extent of their tax liability (if any), and determining a resolution plan for the clients situation, if the client owes a tax liability or is not compliant. 

      These services were all completed which is why **************** would not qualify for a refund for those services. If he would like additional details surrounding that, we can have a member of our **************************** reach out to review his case further. In regard to the follow up for additional charges, there have been no attempts at a charge and we will review the calls to ensure that any agents that were reaching out to **************** followed the appropriate steps and did not partake in unethical tactics as that is against what we stand for as a company.

      This agency promised to help resolve my tax issues. They did nothing. They asked for numerous documents, promised a tax professional would review my taxes, never happened. I had money left to me that had taxes taken out. I simply needed an addendum filed which I was told they would do, they never did, they stated that if I signed a form for power if attorney, which I did, it would stop any more interest being added on, it did not. I checked my *** on line, nothinghad been done at all by any company/agency. Finally, I filed my taxes for this year and the *** is keeping my return to pay them off with interest that had incurred. This was a complete SCAM. I am a single parent who lives paycheck to paycheck. I have sent them emails and they keep sending emails stating this can take up to 60 days. It has been much more than 60 days. Nothing at all. I resolved it myself by the *** taking my refund this year. Now I am out the $2,500.00 I had to pay Taxrise for them to do absolutely nothing! I totally hot SCAMMED by this company. Do not let this happen to anyone else, please!

      I want to start by apologizing that Ms. ****** has not felt as though she has received what she was expecting through our services. Our goal is to ensure clients understand the steps we are taking throughout the process as we navigate through their resolution. I do see the following details regarding Ms. ******** accont:

      Ms. ****** signed up for our initial review of their tax background in July 2023 and three weeks later signed up for continued services to work on their tax resolution. The client did have an assigned Case Manager that worked with Ms. ****** to gather financials to work towards a resolution on her behalf. I do see some difficulties with the document collection, as there was a need to use mail to send and receive documentation which can cause delays. At this time it does look like the client's case has been moved over to our Tax professionals who are working on the case. 

      We handle concerns internally via our ***************************** I have create a ticket on the client's behalf, as I do not see one previously opened, to have a member of our team follow up with her. She should receive follow up communication from our team within ***** business hours, at which time the client will be able to further discuss their experience with our QA Team.

      I hired TaxRise to solve an issue with the *** in 2022. I forgot to report my home sale in 2020 and got a letter from the *** stating that I had to pay the amount that I forgot to report and a penalty of $27,000 for forgetting to report, making it a total of over $170,000. Until now, TaxRise has claimed to be doing something regarding my case but I have not seen results and it's now 2024. Meanwhile, I was charged by the *** another $13,000 in interest and a $2,5000 penalty for non-payment. I got a second opinion from an accountant and he explained that all TaxRise had to do was submit a letter back in 2022 to the *** explaining that we didn't agree with the charges and file an amended return to reflect the house sale. I immediately talked to TaxRise to request my money back and they refused. They claim that they have been investigating my case since 2022 and that they are reaching an appropriate resolution for my case, but if they had addressed the issue in 2022, the interest of over $13,000 and the $2,500 penalty for non-payment would've never been added to the amount owed to the ***. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with TaxRise and their failure to address the issue quickly has resulted in increased money owed to the ***.

      I want to start by apologizing that Ms. **************;was dissatisfied with her experience with TaxRise. Our goal is always to leave clients feeling supported throughout their time with us. I did take the time to locate the client's case and review for further details. 

      ********************** signed up for services on 9/14/22 for an initial review of their tax situation and then a follow up service for resolution of the client's tax liability on 10/12/22. I do see that she worked with her Case Manager to provide documents to substantiate her current situation. Since ********************** signed up for our services, it does look like she had gone past due on her payments more than 5 times, which did cause a delay in her process. I do see that she provided us with IRS issued notices which explained an increase in her liability due to tax returns that were incorrectly prepared prior to her time with TaxRise.

      We typically handle all concerns within our ***************************** I do see that ********************** has already spoken to a member of our QA Team and requested to cancel out her case. I do want to take the opportunity to escalate this case so we can have an additional review of all steps taken to make sure that the client did receive the service that we set out to provide. I have opened a new ticket and a member of our QA Team will be reaching out within ***** business hours.
