    I contacted this company to assist with my tax filing obligations on 6/21/24. I signed a service agreement and made a payment of $500 on my credit card. After researching this company I decided to cancel.The service agreement states " You can cancel within 5 business days of the signed agreement without any penalty or obligation." I sent the signed cancellation notice on 6/25/24 by overnight **** The proof of delivery notice was signed for by ******* on 6/26/2024 at 9:00 A.M. The tracking number is 1ZA694E20165011919. The refund has not been sent as of today 8/21/24.I phoned taxrise on various occasions in July and August 2024 and could not connect with anyone. They have various numbers that you can call and not one has a voicemail. I finally got a hold of a *** and they said I would get a call back from a manager, but I did not. They have not sent Emails in correspondence either. They just ignore customers. If this were a ***utable company they would have contacted me and sent a reimbursement in a timely manner. I have the original cancellation notice and proof of delivery. Please help me get my refund back.

After our discussion I was able to confirm the date of cancellation and we will be issuing them a refund that should process within the coming days.     The business had zero impact while charging me $5K over the course of two years. Gross negligence should not legally be allowed to operate while bad tax advice given to stop paying the *** even though I had an existing payment arrangement and had been paying for years. This led to default and put me in a terrible place. I was harassed for payment to this business weekly while being passed to over 15 different tax advisers until I was eventually called by a person to deliver a resolution that he had no idea of the terms negotiated or who was involved in the process. Not one single dollar was saved on my behalf. I spoke to a service manager and was denied any type of recourse or recovery of funds. This business may be considered a scam.

    I signed up for Taxrise on a promise from them that they would fight for me. After over a year and a half of paying a lot of $$ into this the company could only get me from $13000 to $11000 after I paid them over $4000. They are saying that is all the *** would agree to. I call bs on that. I am in the process of cancellation with them and will file for a refund with them and if they dont refund me I will update this complaint. Do not deal with this company. They will take more money from you than what u owe.

    I have located Mr. ******** case and see that we were able to enroll him in the best resolution allowed by the *** given his current  financial standing. We check each of our clients eligibility for all of the offered fresh start options available but can only negotiate the resolution program and or installment agreement amount based in the financials of our clients. We understand Mr. ****** is not entirely satisfied with the outcome of his case we have opened a ticket with our ***************************** Please allow them 72 business hours to review his case further and reach out to him to discuss his case information, results and answer any questions or concerns he may have.

    I paid a total of $2050. I paid $1000 up front then 550 last month then today they pulled $500 out of my boyfriends account w/o his authorization. They pulled more money than they said I would need to pay ($50 over). Never authorized them to keep his card number. They didn't call to get authorization. *** repeatedly asked for documents pertaining to my case to see progress & have proof of service. Its been 4 weeks since they said it would take 7 days to get through the postal service. Every week seems like an excuse to drag things along to the next month, so you have to pay them again. Its all a ruse. They make promises that are not real. They push you around with the third party deniability scam. Transferring you to people from different departments. They said I wouldnt lose my business, but I did. They said it would take 7 days to resolve my issue from the beginning putting me in a expedited service, I'm on month 3 now. Phone calls are never on time or always forgotten. ******** lies. No proof of work ever, even when requested. After the first month went by I talked to a supervisor over my case worker, and they admitted that my case worker never started a process that at the time I was waiting weeks for. I requested a new caseworker & received one but after a couple days I realized it was the exact same person pretending to be someone new. After months of wasting money to stay afloat I had to file for bankruptcy. These people lied to drag my case out to the next payment. They will tell you things to calm you down & hold you off till payment. I also pointed out the BBB complaints after I had did some *************** still continued on with the ruse. I am seeking every dollar back from them, never receive relief in any form, only worsened our situation and our mental health. We would like a full refund! My Boyfriend got the $500 back. The remaining money still has not been refunded to me. Was promised a call back Wednesday, of course that never came.

    I had the opportunity to speak with **************** today. She expressed her dissatisfaction with our services and voiced her concerns with how her case was handled. I was able to explain the work that was performed on her account and our attempts to help alleviate the situation she was facing with the state of ******** and her business. Despite these efforts and the work done to determine and get her on a resolution we understand she is still not satisfied with how her case was handled. While typically she would not qualify for a refund due to her service agreement  we are going to be issuing **************** a refund of the services fees she paid for out of client satisfaction. Per our conversation today we consider this complaint resolved.

    We contacted Tax Rise for our *** tax debt, totally over ******. We explained our financial situation and that our last years taxes were not included in the lump sum. The communication is spotty, we have dealt with so many people we dont even know who to contact. Then we received numerous notices from *** saying that our monthly amount that Tax Rise negotiated was canceled, which is good because we cannot afford the 809 and we asked numerous times to have redone due to our change in income. We have paid so much money and still owe 3000. We cannot afford the 417 plus 809 and want to have the rest of our fees canceled and we will deal with the *** directly. We have another company handling our state and they can assist if necessary. Its just a scam.

    After locating ****************** case we completed our services in terms of getting her on the best resolution the *** would allow given her current financial situation. The resolution and monthly payment amount is determined by each individuals income and what the *** considers allowable expenses and our tax professionals negotiate the lowest payment that would be most beneficial to our clients. ************** said that was a change in her income and we did try for a redetermination to have the *** consider a different resolution or monthly payment option but unfortunately that redetermination was denied due to the change in income not being significant enough in the eyes of the ***. We have also adjusted ****************** monthly payment to us as she stated she was unable to pay the original amount. We understand she recently received a letter from the *** stating her monthly installment had been canceled and has also inquired about cancelling her payments owed to us. I have opened a ticket with our **************************** and her case is currently being reviewed. **************** can expect a call from one of our representatives in the next ****************************************************************** concerns she may have.

    In April I had paid $500 to review my case to have some sort of relief and interface with the **** I found them on ******** and the reviews seemed good. It started out nicely, I spoke with an account manager that outlined the $2000 + 500 fees or so to get going, DocuSign'ed and thought I was on the way.I needed an extension filed for 2023, asked my preparer to do so, they said we wouldn't be able to do that until total amount was paid, and I thought "asking for an extension isn't a big deal, doesn't cost much" so I checked and then asked them why we'd have to wait for that as it didn't require much, it was supposed to be included in the plan. they said they checked and said it was fine and they could...but never did. I paused monthly payments in April and after not getting any contact I called them, spoke with some agent that gave zero cares, was rude and I realized I'm just a payday. They don't really care. So, instead of asking for the $500 back (I realize they did work) I asked for my initial payment back. I went with an actual tax attorney in **** and have secured their services, they are informed, keep me up to date, and I'm actually paying a bit more for their services. Which I don't mind at all at this point. I just need to get to the point that I'm paying what I should and get the help I need to interface with the ****I got a call not 15 minutes ago from a ******************* agent who was hostile, rude, and led me to believe they could "help". Instead, they refused any refund of the initial payment outright but said they could discount their services if I wanted to continue even after I'd said I'd secured assistance of a tax attorney.Just saying, they treat you well starting off but after that, you're just money and don't care. I don't expect to get anything back, but others need to know what they're getting into.

    April 2024, told taxrise about $$$ I owe irs for 2023 tax ********* taxes.. ***** said they can help. I said I can't pay fee they charged me / autopay $500. I said I should pay that money to the *** not taxrise. ***** said don't worry. That was a lie...Then in July after I paid taxrise $500 autopay I got a lien letter from ***!!! I just fired taxrise today. I sent email to taxrise. When I received irs letter, i contacted the *** & I STILL OWE THEM THAT MONEY I PAID TAXRISE...THE *** told me they will work with me since unemployment was in effect. I didn't need liars at taxrise they lie and scam me with $500.I FIRED TAXRISE I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM. I read reviews and alot of others had same problem. I should have read those reviews BEFORE I TALKED TO ***** AT TAXRISE & when they took my $500.

    I have located ******************** case and see that she had a conversation with her case manager on 7/15/24. On their call her case manager was able to explain our process and steps we are taking to work towards her resolution. She had concerns with *** notices, loss of employment as well as concerns with contacting the *** on her behalf. ******************** case manager addressed all of these concerns and provided her with the next steps to move her case forward. Just so **************** understands the *** will continue to send out automatically generated letters no matter what. We have informed them that we are representing **************** and based on her last conversation with us we were to move forward with her case. Since then we have received an email disclosing she no longer wants to continue services with us. Since all of our cancellation requests are handled by our **************************** one of our representative has tried to reach **************** to discuss her cancellation and attempt to address her concerns but has been unable to reach her. If **************** wishes to resolve this matter we ask that she please reach out to the ***************** representative (*********) that has been trying to contact her so we can resolve this matter accordingly.

    My husband and I (both Seniors - 75 and 81 years old) signed a contract with TaxRise on October 15, 2023 and paid $3,700. TaxRise agreed to file our 2022 and 2023 Federal and State Taxes. They also agreed to resolve our tax debt. They collected information from us and obtained our Fed transcripts. I provided what I could even though I was undergoing numerous hospitalizations, procedures (heart attack, and other) and living in constant excruciating PAIN. Today the the representative informed us that we are not in their system despite texts from them today urgently asking for documents. I have called, texted and emailed them. They do not respond. They assign case managers and change them frequently without telling us. They hang up on me, give false assurances that my case is being taken care of and do not provide any evidence of actual work on my case. Today August 9, 2024, they told me that "we are not in the system" We have a case number (*******) that they are not acknowledging. Over the past ********************************************************************************************************************* preparing and filing the 2022 return, did not give us any copy or evidence of filing and now say, we are not in their system. The 2023 return has NOT been filed and I do know if an extension has been filed or not. They say that they cannot resolve the past due taxes, fines and penalties and Interest until both the 2022 and 2023 returns are filed. IRS Fines and fees are mounting daily. If they cannot perform according to the contract, I will be filing a civil suit against them. The representative has told me that the ************* Team will call me tomorrow *******. I doubt this will happen.

She was somehow transferred to the incorrect department and spoke to two new employees who were unable to locate her case in either of our systems. ***************** had the chance to speak with one of our client care representative today 8/13/24 and they discussed where here case is currently and that we still needed some documents to continue progress on her case. After speaking with our representative it was determined that our client will move forward and will try and get the requested documentation in today. Our representative will be following up with ***************** tomorrow 8/14/24 to ensure the documents are sent in and things are moving forward smoothly. Per her conversation with our representative we consider this complaint resolved.

    I hired this company because they told me if i owed the *** they would get it reduced by 30%. After i kept paying they said they cannot go any further unless i paid them the balance do of $3000, plus i have an additional $4000 through a credit company that they arranged. As soon as i made the last payments to them, they told me the *** and the state want all their money you owe. We are sorry you are one of the rare ones this happens to. They are a complete scam and made many lies along the way and throughout the process.

    I hired text wise to help me with the fresh start program because I owed over $10,000 to the **** they assured me that they can take care of my concern/issues.I paid $400 upfront and then I had a remaining $3000 to pay. I was always initiating phone calls to see where my case is heading.before hiring tax rise. I made my own payment plan with the **** They did nothing for my case. Taxrise just reinstall a payment plan. they promised that I will not have any penalties or interest on my account, and also property will be protected. they were dishonest to me. None of it was true can you guys please look into that company? It appears to be fraudulent. Taxrise is a scam.

    ****************** had the opportunity to speak with a member of our **************************** on 8/7/23. Our representative was able to break down our clients case so she better understood our process. **************** mentioned there may have been some errors in the financial information we had collected from her. Our representative informed our client that we could try for a redetermination with the updated financial documentation to see if ****************** qualifies for a different resolution program. Our tax professionals are checking on her case to see if anything can be done to address how her work allowance affects her income. A representative tried to reach **************** today 8/13/24 but was unable to reach her. In the meantime we ask that our client please send in the list of document her representative provided so we can look into doing a redetermination.
