So I submitted my background on April 1, 2024 and was schedule to start at my new job on April 16, 2024. On the same day of my orientation I got a email from my employer stating that my start date has been reschedule due to my background not being done. I call accurate many time and it was the same thing only, saying that it's because I live in ********** and there still a waiting for my county to respond. Fast forward today is *** 17,2024 and my background is still not completed. Every week that I call they give a eta time but everytume that eta come up they just push it forward for the next week. So my last eta was on the *** 15 now it's being push to *** 22. At this point I'm not even counting the days anymore but it has been nearly 60 days. Accurate if you read this, can you please get this my background done because I have bills to pay and I'm going broke on my savings. I really need to start working but you guys also need to do a better job at completing people background.Business Response

I was offer a position at a company on April 29, 2024 and was required to do a background check. I submitted all my information to Accurate who does background checks on that same day. A background check tipically takes 1-2 days and this is the 1st company that has taken longer than expected. My start date on the job was supposed to be on May 3, 2024 and because Accurate has not provided any report due to their delays, my start date has been pushed back. I have never had to wait this long for a background check, the most I have waited is 2 days and the least has been 4 hours to get my results. Every time I chat with Accurate all they say is still pending or in progress and they will send me a report soon. Because of this delay on Accurate getting my background check report, I am unable to start working and I need to work like today. Thank you in advance.Business Response

I submitted my background check with Accurate on March 9th It is now April 16th> Accurate has had my background check in progress for over a month causing my scheduled start date at Amazon to be pushed back three times. Also, I have called customer service multiple times and asked to have my background check escalated. The answer is always the same and it seems that they do not care about the hardships they are causing to their candidates. The ****** reviews for this company speak for themselves. If this company is running your background check you can expect unprofessionalism, and for them not to provide the service they claim they do. I have a clean record and it would be easy to see how a company like "Accurate" can provide wrong information to a perspective employer. If any situation comes up like this for you or for me, I would suggest contacting a lawyer as they would be in violation of background check laws.Business Response

I do not accept this response. Accurate has had my background check pending for 50 days now. This has caused me significant delays and my start date to be pushed back multiple times. This in turn has caused me to miss out on a job opportunity. 50 days for a background check is more than excessive especially considering I have only lived in 1 county my entire life and have a clean background. I believe Accurate to be maliciously withholding my background check from me based upon discrimination or retaliation from filing a complaint with the ************************ and the BBB. 50 days of a background check pending and no follow up from customer service or supervisors or the legal team can only be justified by this reason. Other comparable background check company's have reports done in under 5 days which includes the county I live in. Accurate has taken 10x longer in order to act maliciously to candidates who exercise their consumer rights. I request that my background check be completed without further delay and to have a representative from the legal team or a supervisor from customer service contact me. I have proof from emails stating that "they would be in contact with me" yet I never received any call back. At the beginning of March, my future employer had me fill out information for my background check. I currently work a very large entity where I have a clean record and have to have a clean background to stay employed. Due to Accurate not completing my background check, my start date with my future employer has been pushed back by three weeks. I have contacted Accurate via email and by phone on numerous occasions and no one would give me a clear answer as to why things have not cleared yet, until the last time this week I called. The representative informed me it was due to lack of response from my current employer. I asked Accurate why has no one on their end have been proactive and reach out to me to see if I could provide a better contact, and again I was not given an answer. I provided them with *************** information that could be contacted. I have been trying for years trying to get a job with this future employer. I fear due to Accurate's lack of being proactive, they could cost me a great job with my future employer. I have been with my current employer for over 10 years, again for a very large entity. It appears Accurate has made NO attempts to rectify the problem. They keep pushing back the date on when things should clear and has cost me a three week delay.Business Response

I applied to work at Amazon warehouse on 3/10 and started my background/drug tests. My drug test came back fine and my background has not only not come back but is the reason I have had to reschedule my start date with Amazon TWICE now . If my background is not done today Friday 3/22 then I will have to choose ANOTHER start date which is ridiculous because I have two kids and NEED to work and all accurate background is saying is they dont know when its gonna be done !!!! Accurate Background is the company that my potential employer is using for my pre-employment background check. It has been 10 business days since I submitted my application to A.B (Accurate Background). I since then called multiple times and also a live chat box to get an update on the status of my case is. Each time I was met with a different potential date of completion, basically they just add 4 days to a potential date every time that I would call. I've had background checks done on me before with a similar role with other companies and it would clear in 1 - 3 business days. I would never get any actual update from the agent that I speak to, all I want to is to assist if there are any wrong information that I gave out from my initial input.Business Response

I have been a victim of identity theft and this company apparently does background check on people for Amazon Flex drivers. The individual that has stolen my identity has acquired a job with Amazon and we have made multiple attempts to get Amazon to stop this. This Accurate background LLC did very little to verify the identity of the individual and when I contact them they simply put me on hold or hang up the phone. This is fraudulent activity. We asked them for point of contact to reach out to for amazon flex and they said they wouldn't be able to give that information out. It's clearly a fraud and we would have to file a law suit against Amazon as well as accurate at this point.Business Response
