I told them that this matter will not be resolved until I can get a proper answer on when my issue will be fixed. I told them if its going to be another few weeks the complaint will still stay open. Its not under warranty anymore. The matter will stay open until the issue is fixed. I told them that yesterday. The issue has been going on for weeks now with no answer as to when it will be fixed. When I know it will be fixed I will close the complaint. As long as the issue is not fixed the the complaint will stay open. The manager Josh was very nice and was helpful but still apologizes does not fix the issue. Until I can get the product team to contact me and tell me when issue will be fixed then the the complaint will stay open.Business Response

Back in 2020 or 2021 I became the new owner of a 75 Vizio **************** and it only worked for a little over 3 years. In my research of the product, Ive found that this is not an anomaly. They are aware of the "Black Screen problem with their televisions and their solution was to just offer a 1 year warranty. I contacted Vizio on two separate occasions and they tried to walk me through trouble shooting methods that were unsuccessful. The second time after the trouble shoot attempts, they basically told me to either find a technician and pay to get it fixed or buy another television. I thought we could resolve the issue by them sending me another television or at least offering to pay half of what it would cost to buy another. I think that they should extend the warranty beyond the 12 month warranty they currently have.Business Response

I have bought 3 vizo tvs in the last 2 years. Ironically it seems to happen just a few days after the one year is up. But 2 of 3 tvs no longer work. Will not turn on and they will not do anything about it. Registering it is a joke! They only want you to register it to track it. Never buy a Vizio TV!Business Response

I purchased a VIZIO TV from ***'s Club 6 months ago @ $350. The sound went out and I called the number given on the warranty information. I went to the indicated website, described the problem and was sent an email which stated it was fixable and here is the service request number. I used the tracking link and found that no number was found. I called the two numbers given and have not received a response since I began on July 16. I get a message stating that all agents are busy and leave a message and I will be contacted in 24 hours. I have called numerous times, different days and times. One day I called four different times and *** left a message that I was going to contact you if I did not hear back--nothing.Business Response

I purchased a 65" Vizio TV from ***'s club for $378.00 on sale on 7/12/2024 and received it via ***** on 7/17/2024. The ad stated 6 months of Starz and *** plus came with purchase as well as 3 year warranty. I was unable to get the *** plus app to give me the offer of redeeming the 6 months once I clicked on the app. I contacted Vizio customer service as *** plus customer service stated it was an issue for them to resolve since they offered it with purchase and was told by rep with Vizio to click on the 7 day free trial to redeem as this would take me to the 6 months free promotion however this did not work. I cancelled the trial before end of 7 days with *** plus and went thru talking to 2 other reps regarding issue. It was escalated to management to a guy named **** who stated I had evidently had prior *** plus programming under this email and therefore couldn't redeem the promotion due to this. I assured him I never had received service of any kind with *** plus other than the free trial his rep told me to click on to redeem the 6 months free promotion. He stated, as a previous rep, had to try a different email and I did with no luck. He then proceeded to tell me I evidently had had service with that email as well which I had not. He told me he called *** plus and they confirmed I had. I told him I never gave them permission to discuss anything with him and called *** plus who in turn told me they would never have done that without my consent and verified I had never, other than the free trial I did on 7/17/24, had service with their company. I called **** back and left a voicemail to let him know this and have heard nothing since. My issue on the free 6 months trial they advertised falsely has not been resolved yet. I did not solely buy this tv based on the freebies however I feel they need to honor their ad as this is false advertising.Business Response

Purchased a Vizio brand television that did not work after nine months and barely being used because Im at work all day long six days a week. I reached out to Vizio and let them know that the ** is not working and its practically brand new. They told me they were going to send me a refurbished ** that does not have a warranty on it. If the new **s dont work the refurbished **s more than likely wont work either, I asked them to give me a one year warranty on the refurbished ** that they were planning on sending to my house. They said they cannot do that. So then I asked them to refund my money for the ** that does not work so I can go with another brand, they said they cannot do that either. Poor customer service and very poor products. They are ripping off customers with products that dont even work past their warranty period.Business Response

Vizio sent an update to smart tvs that removes the use of over the air antennas and forces you into an internet connected Watch Free+ system of theirs. I have a metered internet connection and it costs every month I go over, so my free antenna reception is no longer usable and I have to pay to watch tv. Although I do not pay them for internet service, they must be getting something out of this. Maybe user data that we never agreed to or changing commercials to get money from. I just want my free over the air antenna back. If I wanted to pay to watch tv, I would get a satellite subscription because cable is not available here.Business Response

The Vizio tv I have was determined to have a factory or retailer defect that appeared after less than ten uses. Vizio refused warranty service and is soliciting me to purchase a new tv under their "rebate" program. Instead of taking care of the customer that has already spent money with them they are concerned about getting more money than fixing the issue.Business Response

I received the television as a gift in August of 2023 and it was new in the box. I remember taking off all of the plastic around the screen. Vizio claims to have records of the television being turned on before that but I have no knowledge of that. It was hung on the wall and used less than ten times. According to the repair places I have spoken to there has to have been a crack hidden on the corner of the screen that has now spread causing the television to be unusable. VIzio's solution is to spend more money with them to replace it and hope that I get one that lasts longer than ten uses. I have not declined the rebate offer as stated by the Vizio representative in this letter. I am taking the time to explore what options I have and shop for a solution that I can afford. They have offered a 30% rebate and have solicited me over the phone 3 different times to try and get me to buy another one of their televisions. I have spoken to several representatives with Vizio and was led to believe that they would replace it early on in the process. When the refused to replace it I was then given an inaccurate list of retailers to purchase a new Vizio television from. Multiple retailers on their list do not even carry their televisions anymore. As it stands, I have a barely used 70 inch Vizio television sitting here that should have lasted a lot longer than it has. As I explore my options I will be letting everyone I can know how Vizio has handled this and my experience with their television.Business Response
