  NortonLifelock has reported that PeopleWhiz has my private information including home address. When I go to the site it provides an option to remove it but doesn't allow to do it unless I provide my Drivers License info because "For your protection, we need to confirm that the personal information you want to remove belongs to you.". I have zero trust in this business to share my license information. I dont see how it makes sense when it says its trying to "protect" me while "deleting" my information. They are having ****s of individuals complaining the same thing and making money on the internet by selling personal information for $27.99. Firstly they shouldn't be having our information in the first place. Secondly, why are they not deleting when asked? I hope someone takes action on this business.

  I have Norton/LifeLock and it is advised that I have my personal information removed from several different data broker sites such a Been verified, Intellus, PeekYou, etc.All other of the nine data broker sites I was able to submit requests for my personal info removal from their site, some even did it instantly.In all none cases, NO ID OR DRIVER'S LICENSE REQUIRED to upload, whatsoever.Only this site is preventing the removal of my personal data. I should not nor do not have to provide even more possible breachable personal data, just to have what's there already removed! NO OTHER SITE DOES THIS MADNESS

  May 17th, 2023, I read that peoplewiz.com is amazing and it can gather more information about someone than you would believe. So, I went on their site to try it myself. With no intention of paying for their services but rather to see what kind of seed information they would provide me to try and entice me to sign up for their services. I entered my Name, City and State and when it completed gathering information about me, their website responded with a ************ BANNER WITH WHITE LETTERS claiming, CRIMINAL RECORDS FOUND! and underneath that banner it said We have uncovered multiple criminal records matching the name ***********************************. Results may contain information that some users find offensive.I do not have any criminal records so that concerned me. I paid $27.99 for their 1 month option tier, so see what is going on. And when I did, it showed me the report that they generated. And in their Criminal Records section, it correctly stated after accessing federal, state and commercial databases, we did not find any information filed for MichaelI called them today at ************** - the phone number associated with their Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed (and their goal is 100% customer satisfaction) to get a refund and for them to research why they are claiming I have criminal records when the public data they researched showed I did not have any.The CSR told me they would only refund 75% because I used it once (on me) and there is no option in their system to get a 100% refund. When I told her that their company guarantee, she responded saying "smugly" well there is nowhere on the website that says they would refund 100%. When I again requested to speak with someone else, she said there was nobody else and hung up on me.If peopewhiz is interested in discussing this matter further, I welcome them to do so. My email address is ******************* and my contact number is ************. BTW, about half the information on me was incorrect.

  I attempted to request my information be removed from their website only to be told they need more of my personal information to complete the request, including a copy of my driver's license with my current physical address. I am being targeted by a domestic violence abuser and need my information removed. I am uncomfortable providing a company that sales data more of my data. This is a violation of privacy.

  I have attempted to remove my data from this website, but they are requiring an image of my drivers license (and potentially more information). I am unable to proceed with the removal request without giving them a copy of my driver's license. I have made requests to at least 6 other websites and none have required me to produce my Drivers license. I want my data removed from this website immediately. I will not provide a drivers license or any other data which would only further concerns about accessibility of my private data.

  In December of 2021, we used PeopleWhiz.com to search once. It was a free trial. There was no information about canceling the service. Peoplewhiz charged our credit card ***** for sixteen months. My husband noticed this charge last month. We notified the company about the charges and they canceled the account and refunded six months of charges. I want a complete refund for the entire sixteen months. I contacted the company over the phone and through email support but they refuse to acknowledge the fact that their offer is deceiving. I looked online and many other customers are verifying the fact that this company uses deceptive practices. Kindly help me in getting a full refund. Thank you.

  I can issue another 3 months refund but it does state on our website this is a subscription service. The bank only allows us to issue refunds within a 180 day period.

  PeopleWhiz.com originally sent me an email promising me a six month refund. They only refunded four months. After making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau they promised an address three month refund but  I received only a two month refund.Initially I requested a sixteen month refund due to fraudulent practices but they said that they could only refund six months and then later after the BBB complaint claiming the bank would only allow them a three month refund after the six month refund. I have only received a total of six months refund. Kindly look into matter. I would like a full sixteen month refund.

  The bank only requires a 180 refund period. Please contact your institution if you want to dispute. We have provided a refund for 9 months (270 days) which is already past our threshold. We are unable to refund anything prior to that our account will not allow it.

  Used Peoplewhiz.com on 4/19/2023. Cost $27.99. I cancelled this transaction/ account that same day so as to not be charged. I just opened my checking account statement and found another debit for $27.99 dated 5/19/2023 from Peoplewhiz.com. They said that they will not return the original $27.99. The company did say they would return the 5/9/2023 amount of $27.99 to my checking account. I did mention that I was contacting BBB. No reply to this.

  McAfee Security notified me that PeopleWhiz.com, PeopleWhizR.com and Peoplewizard.net has violated my right to privacy and my personal information sold to third party brokers without my permission. They have my name *************************** aka: *****************, ***************** (unknown), *************************** (unknown), **************************************** and my age 67. They have listed locations: ******, **, *****, **, ******, **, and ************. Relatives listed: *******************************, ******************************, ******* ***********************, ********************** and ****************************. When I went online to opt-out, all three of these data brokers required a current identification for verification purposes. I refuse to upload my current identification because I strongly believe these three data brokers will have my personal identification and use it to their advantage just as they sold my personal information without my permission. I want all three of these companies to remove my personal information ASAP.

  I have no knowledge if my personal information is tucked away in People Whizs historical archives or if People Whiz has placed my personal information on the dark web. First and foremost, I never gave permission to have my personal information to People Whiz to be posted on any websites.  People Whiz may provide background checks, they also simplify identity theft, stalking, and doxing by exposing personal information online to encourage harassment which is creepy and dangerous.  This is unacceptable behavior by People Whiz and by posting personal information about me put my life and others in danger.  If I or my family is harmed as a result of their recklessness People Whiz will be held liable.

  Person(s) without my knowledge initiated a background check on me when I am retired. I do not know the underlying motives of the person(s) who has engaged in said criminal activities to obtain my personal information from People Whiz.  Posting my personal information on websites and on the dark web violates my privacy.  I have never given anyone permission to conduct a background check, nor, have I granted anyone permission to pist my personal information on websites. This is very disturbing to know that my personal information has fallen into the hands of unscrupulous individuals.  This is very creepy,  dangerous, and constitutes harassment.  No, I do not accept People Whizs response.  The harm has been done.  My personal information is to be removed from their database and from from their historical archives.  My safety has been put in jeopardy.

  5/14/2023 Good evening, Today I received an alert from my LifeLock /Norton security team and they informed me that a company called "People whiz" was selling my information/data on the web. I attempted to remove my information as instructed to do so By ****** and when i went to their website ****************************************** and tried to remove my information they go through a few different prompts and then ask you for a picture ID/DL or state ID "To verify that you are who you say you are"!? This company has had a lot of very negative reviews and I fear that they are a scam or data miners selling people's info over the web! At this point I think they should be the one providing a picture ID or License /certification of who they are exactly! Providing an ID could further put a person at risk of having their information stolen and used by this company or "It's, "Partners"! I have sent requests before to Been verified and several other well know sites and had NO issue having my information removed with just a demand that they do so. I truly think the *** needs to investigate this company/ service. I have sent them a letter requesting that they remove mu information immediately, if I do not get any satisfaction, I will file a complaint and contact my attorney.
