I use Norton to remove my personal information from data broker sites and I do not wish to give my drivers license information to get my data removed. Being impacted in the past with unauthorized data usage I am not comfortable sending more information. Please remove my information and why other data sites do not require a drivers license for removal makes me even more hesitant giving that information out. Thank you.Business Response

While monitoring my identity online, I found it in people-wizard.com database without my permission. When trying to remove it, it requests me to upload or mail an official ID document, which completely compromises my data integrity. On all other similar sites, you just simply request to opt-out and you are done. This feels like they are purposely making it difficult to remove the data in order to continue to make money off my data, which I NEVER gave permission to use. This also provides them with even more private data, and feels like a complete scam. I wish to opt-out completely and have them remove my data.Business Response

I am trying to remove my information from the PeopleWhiz website and it is requiring me to submit a photo ID. I am not comfortable giving my photo ID to a random database collector. I received the email to provide an ID. However, I am not comfortable providing it to PeopleWhiz. When selecting the link to upload an ID, my McAfee tells me it is not a safe website to open. I do not know if they figured out which one is mine, but it is no longer there. Therefore, I consider this item closed. I do appreciate BBB's help and PeopleWhiz's response. If my data reappears, I will open a new complaint and provide the requested screenshot.

PeopleWhiz and its 13 affiliate sites, all with similar names, expose my private identifying information. I have a right to request that my data to be removed from this website. When I attempt to remove my data, they require that I upload a driver's license. NO OTHER IDENTITY VERIFICATION WEBSITES HAVE THIS REQUIREMENT. Why would I upload MORE private information to a service that is already predatorially exposing my PII to the world? Furthermore, they state no terms of service for how they will protect the drivers license image should I choose to upload it. No assurances to how secure their database is, no assurance for how long they will retain the image data, whether they will delete it immediately after using it for verification purposes, how to confirm it has been deleted, etc. Furthermore, if I redact sensitive information, such as the issue or expiry date, from my driver's license, they won't accept it. I would like my personal information removed from PeopleWhiz.com, but the opt out form is asking me to submit personal ID - but I do not want any more of my personal identification in the hands of a data broker. My name and email address should be sufficient to complete the opt out request. I looked up a name and they showed my name with a red triangle next to it stating "might possibly have criminal records or traffic records". I called PeopleWhiz the evening of Feb 20, ********************************************************** traffic records they are telling people I might have. I was told by the female that answered the phone (who remains nameless) that they can't tell me that information. I told her I have no criminal records nor traffic records and want to know what they are telling people about me and she told me again they can't give me that information. I told her I was going to get the report my name is shown on to find out what they said and if necessary call an attorney. Her only reply, I believe, was "go ahead and do that" or something similar to that. By this point I was so angry with them saying they don't have to tell me what they are saying about me I'm not sure of the exact wording of what she said. When I went to their payment area of the site they didn't have a $1 free trial. They want $27.99 a month for a 3 month subscription and I am not paying them that crazy amount of money to probably get no information from it anyway. By law don't they have to tell a person they note under someone elses name what they say about them for free. The best part of this is if you enter my name to do a search on it they say they have no records for that name.Business Response

I received an alert through an identity monitoring service that the website PeopleWhiz is putting my information up for sale. I tried to remove my information directly on the PeopleWhiz website.
