    I want my private info removed from Peoplewhiz and dont want to provide additional personal identity information in order to complete this request. A driver's license contains even more sensitive info that could be used to commit identity theft and I am not comfortable doing this. I just want my unauthorized data removed from the site.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I was able to opt out of providing my driver's license in order to have my other personal data removed from the Peoplewhiz site, which was what i wanted. the company responded in just over 1 business day and I was easily able to complete my opt out request after their response. I consider this complaint resolved. Thank you.

    I use Norton to remove my personal information from data broker sites and I do not wish to give my drivers license information to get my data removed. Being impacted in the past with unauthorized data usage I am not comfortable sending more information. Please remove my information and why other data sites do not require a drivers license for removal makes me even more hesitant giving that information out. Thank you

    My information is shared on this data brokerage website. I understand this business has "no control" over the data. However, upon attempting to remove my data (a right that is protected by law), the organization requests my **, something that has been compromised, thus the need to remove my data. Other data brokerages do not require this extra validation, and I have no promises of the security of my ** photo after upload. This is shady at best. It is of little to no comfort that this company will remove the ** requirement only after a BBB complaint is made. Note that even if I eventually mark this complaint resolved, the practice is still terrible.

    I visited Peoplewhiz, a website that provides personal information, today to remove my name and information from their platform. However, I found out that they require me to upload my identification documents to complete the process. This is a significant breach of my identity and privacy rights, and I don't feel comfortable providing confidential information to a company that I don't know or trust. It's unfair that I can't control who has access to my personal contact information without compromising my own privacy. The business practices of Peoplewhiz and similar websites like Background Alert are entirely unfair. I want to remove my personal information from these sites, but it doesn't make sense that I have to upload the same information that I am trying to get removed in the first place.

    I have recently started using norton anti-virus and one of it's features alerted me to the fact that my personal information was listed on multiple websites. I have opted to manually remove my information from these sites with out any problems. However, PeopleWhiz is the only site that REQUIRES that I send an image of my ID before they will remove my personal information. NO OTHER DATA BROKER SITE ON THE INTERNET REQUIRES THIS! I find it incredibly shady and suspicious that they require the most detailed information on you before they remove your basic info. I've also noticed that other people have complained about the same issue. In one case, PeopleWhiz's resolution was to remove the person's info without requiring an image of their ID. Why don't they just change their policy on their website to reflect the fact that they will remove your basic info without an image of you're ID. THIS DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE TO ME!
