We have been in contract with Seaside since April 2020 attempting to be released from our timeshare. We were assigned to ***************** Law Group in late 2020. The firm did not do anything to help us with getting released. There was minimal communication the entire time. We complained and were assigned to ************************************* Law firm in 2022. The process began positively. We were offered a settlement of $34k in October 2022. We paid seaside more than $14k to get out of this. We have sent emails repeatedly with no resolve. Our last contact from Seaside was September 15, 2023 and it was a robo email with no real customer care. We have not received any contact from ************************************* since April 2023. We are still being drug along with this cancellation process. It's going on 4 years with no resolve. We have provided more than enough documentation. I would not recommend using this company for timeshare relief. They charge a lot and they do not provide efficient, consistent or transparent service.

We did contract with you in early 2020 at the point where COVID-19 was sweeping the nation. The pandemic affected many businesses across the country and the legal system definitely had its own unique set of challenges. Even though these were issues outside of our control, we did our best to service your case. Our efforts included transitioning you to a different attorney at our expense. The settlement offered by the developer is a part of the process. These cases involve negotiations and rarely does a developer simply terminate a contract without at least attempting to settle the case for a monetary sum. Most clients do the same as you have done and reject that offer, so the negotiations continue. Again, it is part of the process. Additionally in reviewing the many notes in your file, it appears that as late as May of this year there was an issue with the correct purchase agreement being sent to the attorney. Issues like these definitely affect the attorneys ability to negotiate. We state in our Service Agreement (which both of you signed) that clients must turn in proper documents within 30 days or they are in breach of the agreement. We have not held you to that part of the agreement and are committed to seeing your case through until the end.Initial Complaint

We paid Seaside to get us out of some contracts back on Aug. 7th 2020 and to date, there has been nothing done about it. We will be needing a full refund of $3,597.75 immediately. We understand there may have been reasons why the job was never started but that is no excuse for the lack of communication and action. We followed through with our end of the agreement and we expected the same in return. We look forward to a full refund and moving on.

We must say that we are shocked by this complaint. To say that the job was never started and that there has been nothing done could not be further from the truth. This client had three timeshares with three different developers. The 1st timeshare contract was terminated after the client chose to pay a settlement so they could move forward with a refinance of their home. This was the clients choice and was totally outside of the work that had already been done on their case. We specifically state in our Service Agreement that if a client chooses to pay a settlement outside of our work on the case, they understand that we have still done our work and their choice to pay any settlement does not negate any work we have done. Also, this client subsequently informed us that they changed their mind and decided to keep the 2nd timeshare. This was again the clients decision, and that decision was made after work had already been done on their case by both Seaside and the attorney . The 3rd timeshare termination is still in process. Additionally, the client failed to mention that we made a special payment arrangement with them which allowed them to pay over 75% of their fee at the end of the process. These fees are still outstanding and have not been collected by Seaside. We have attempted many times to communicate with this client and we can document them all with dates and times. Even after receiving this complaint, we have attempted to contact this client numerous times with any response.Initial Complaint

This company lied and said that they could get me removed from the timeshare company and took my money for it. After that a different company called and asked me for more money or the timeshare would remain on my credit. What did I pay the initial for

The satisfaction of our clients is and will always be our utmost priority. We have reached out to this client and explained that any settlement offers are for her to review and choose to accept or reject. We have also explained to her that if she does not want to accept any settlement offer, that we will continue to work on her contract cancellation. We look forward to continuing to provide services for this client until her case is terminated.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I hired Seaside Consultants back in October of 2021 to help remove a Timeshare ownership that I had with Hilton Grand Vacations. At the time, I paid over $3k to get them to "cancel" this Timeshare contract. I was told they had legal partners and credit partners who would prevent this from going on my credit report. I was also told that I could stop making payments on my Timeshare as the credit protection would ensure that this wasn't reported to the credit bureaus. When they started to report the late/missed payments, I called Seaside who directed me to ********* and said they couldn't do anything. Eventually, the timeshare company repossessed the timeshare and Seaside actually had the nerve to reach out with a "Congratulations!" even though I have now have multiple delinquencies and a repo on my credit report. A year later, it's still reflect and Seaside will not even answer my calls. I was promised that my timeshare would be cancelled and it would have no impact on my credit score. This was not true. All I want for them is to fulfill the contract that we signed.

While we certainly appreciate feedback from any of our clients, we feel in this case we must clarify some issues to put this case in the proper context. We clearly state in our Service Agreement, which the client both signed and initialed that the credit protection is not a guaranteed service. The credit reporting agencies themselves cannot guarantee that a consumers credit report will not ever contain any errors, so there is no way that we could. The client states that he was told to stop making payments which is against our company policy. Whether to make or not make a payment is a personal decision that each client makes totally of their own volition. Currently, the situation is that through the efforts of the legal team, a Letter of Cancellation was issued from the developer on 7/1/2022 which terminated his timeshare contract. This Letter of Cancellation did not mention any repossession nor anything other than a cancellation. The client is in possession of this letter and knows that the letter did not mention any repossession. At times there is a disconnect between different departments within the developers huge corporate structure. At this point there is one issue remaining which is the manner that one of the three credit reporting agencies is recording the termination in a negative light. The other two credit reporting agencies have never shown any negative reporting. The credit protection entity has verified at least a dozen instances of working on getting the remaining negative remarks removed and has also stated that they have never nor would they ever tell a client that they wouldnt do anything. They have also committed to continue to work on the issue. Additionally, the client states that we would not answer his calls. Our records show that every call we have received from this client was returned with at least one or more attempts. We are committed to continuing to resolve this lone remaining issue.Customer Answer

I am frankly surprised by the tone of Seaside, and the fact that they still haven't been able to answer basic questions - how much longer will this be on my credit report, and what are they actually doing to resolve this? We are all agreed that the timeshare has been canceled - Seaside says it was through their actions (sending a letter from their lawyer). As I see it, I stopped making payments and my timeshare was repossessed - as it reflects on my credit report. Something that when they sold me the product and their credit protection I was assured would NOT happen. Regardless of the legalese of their contract, it does not reflect what I was told. To be clear, my timeshare was only ever on one credit report. It never reflected (positively or negatively) on the other bureaus. While I appreciate that they sent a letter, I have not seen any actions that they are interested in trying to find a resolution to this case. The only time they have contacted me this year was to ask me to remove my BBB message. From a customer service perspective, I would have expected them to reach out to me with an action plan and the next steps to get this resolved. They nor their affiliates have yet to provide any information on what their unwavering commitment and effort actually entails and how much longer this will take. I don't think asking for a plan for this to be solved and a timeline for resolution is an unreasonable position after I have spent so much money.Initial Complaint

We hired Seaside consultants 2 1/2 years ago to get ** out of a timeshare. We paid them $15,000 plus $1000 to ******** Law Group. We have made many many calls to both. One blames it on the other and Seaside also blames it on the contractors. From what they have told us they have sent papers to them to answer in 90 days. They have told us this more than once but do nothing about them not responding in the time frame. Please advise what to do as we are senior citizens on a fixed income. Thank you.

This clients timeshare contract was cancelled as of October 2022. They were informed of this by the developer. They did not understand the verbiage used in the letter from the developer and we have explained that to them. We are glad that we were able to assist them in having their timeshare contract cancelled and will gladly assist them if they have
any other issues in the future.
