Last year I had Plotke Plumbing install my new Waterless Water Heater which I have been very happy with and now it is a year later and needs the yearly flushing of hard water deposits, etc to keep it running in a excellent REMOVEDI thought I would call Plotke to do the first Flush. I didn't have to, but I figured they would do an excellent job.But come one, flushing a Waterless Water Heater can be performed by anyone, even myself as it does not take an expert technician, etc.Anyone, the technician did a good job and everything works as it should.HOWEVER, when I asked what the bill was, which I assumed from past Flushes from other Plumbing companies, it should at least be reasonable even if slightly REMOVEDDOES $550 SOUND TO YOU?PRICE GOUGING, THAT IS WHAT THIS IS AND THAT IS THE LAST TIME PLOTKE COMES TO MY HOME!WHAT A RIPOFF!JUST LIKE ANY OTHER CORPORATION THESE DAYS THEIR ATTITUDE IS :" Hey guys whatever we can extract from the customer, let's try it!"I was in shock to say the least and I told the technician "Are you sure that is the charge?"He retorts with "Hey everything is going up!"I paid the Invoice and feel that I was gouged as a consumer and Plotke better go back to their drawing board and realize what the hREMOVEDthey are doing, because it won't work here anymore and I will make REMOVEDsure I TELL EVERYONE I KNOW, TO SKIP THEM, UNLESS THEY WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!One more thing! I noticed that Businesses now don't care about Veterans! If you ask for a veteran Discount they blow you off!

We did receive a complaint by review on REMOVEDfrom Mr. REMOVEDWe also had our general manager REMOVEDdiscuss directly with him his complaint. We are confused about why Mr. REMOVEDbelieves he was overcharged because we had explained to him the sequence required for a tankless flushing and the price associated with it. We understand that $525 may seem like a significant charge for what is often referred to as a tankless water heater flush, but the service involves considerably more than simply running water through the unit.

A proper tankless water heater cleaning requires circulating a manufacturer-approved descaling solution through the heat exchanger for the appropriate amount of time and thoroughly cleaning the system to remove mineral buildup. This is an important maintenance procedure because scale buildup can reduce efficiency, restrict water flow, and potentially shorten the life of the heat exchanger. We perform the service in accordance with the manufacturers maintenance specifications.

The $525 charge reflects the labor, equipment, descaling materials, and time required to properly perform the servicenot simply the amount of time spent running the flush.
Our pricing for this service is consistent with the level of work involved and is a standard charge for a professional tankless water heater descaling service. We take pride in doing the work correctly rather than taking shortcuts that could leave mineral buildup behind.

We certainly understand that customers may compare pricing between companies, but our goal is to provide a thorough service that protects the equipment and is performed properly the first time. This charge is within the reasonable bounds of our competitors and is not a reflection of anything above and beyond our normal pricing structure.

We explained this to the customer but he seems to be staunchly in defiance of our perspective.
