We made over 10 attempts to reach out the customer including the phone and email on file... Customer had used the product over 42 times and signed a contract... We did our due diligence as a company to reach out to this customer and did not receive a call backCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
Alldata is lying, I have not used 42 times the product like they said. I only used it once. I hope they have proof that I used it that much.
They have not made any attempt to reach me by e-mail to resolve this matter.
By e-mail they are only sending me invoices. I told them long distance call are blocked.
If they need to reach me will be by e-mail.

Alldata representative *************** solicited my business for almost 3 months as I was having problems with my other program *** had assured me that I could try the program and it wouldn't be a big deal and I could cancel it at any time. I asked him to let me use it and he told me it wouldn't be a problem the sun over the email and the price that he quoted me was $55 higher than what we had talked about. I told him that never mind I didn't want it it wasn't worth it when he came immediately to my shop telling me that he could fix it and we can get the price that I wanted. I told him that this is becoming more than a hassle than I wanted he said it wouldn't be a problem just give it a shot there's no payment now if you don't want it just don't pay for it and you can cancel it. I was having trouble with the email so he came around to my computer and the next thing you know it was loaded and on my computer we proceeded to look at the program and while he couldn't help me set it up the account manager ***** had to help so we got in touch with her. After they set up the account I was going through how it works and realized that it was really not a manager's program to keep track of my company's information it was just an invoicing program you couldn't adjust things by margins you couldn't give discounts by percentages and the only report you could run were sales tax reports. At this point I told him that I was not interested in the program. *** said not a problem the next thing I know I received an invoice I called about the invoice and canceling and they told me that I was in a contract and there's nothing that I can do and I have to pay for the next year. They tried to offer me several things to try to satisfy me which I told them this bait and switch and whoever put this on my computer isn't how to do business and I don't want to do business with their company at this point they tell me that I am stuck and I have to pay for a yesrInitial Complaint

About a week ago I subscribed to AllData. It has been a huge disappointment. Their website is horribly maintained. Much of their data is missing/incomplete/inaccurate. More often than not, I cannot find what I need. Their excuse has been to fill out a "library request" but it is not practical to have to do that constantly, and even that feature doesn't work well. AllData coerces customers into remaining with them for a year. If they had a quality service (they don't), they wouldn't need to twist people's arms. And it's a terrible business model. If someone says, "Your service is not what I expected it to be, cancel my subscription", they should say, "Ok. We hope you choose to come back one day". But trying to force people just makes them look bad. Nobody likes corporate rigidness these days.AllData needs a MAJOR overhaul to their website and database if they want any hope of remaining relevant.Business Response

On or about June 13th I was solicited at my business X-Gen ****** ******* by ***** a representative of AllData, who told me they were having a promotion no money to start and $99 a month for the first 3 months and then it would be $189 a month. I asked him what if I decide I don't want it? ***** assured me he'd get me out of the contract, he said he just needed me to sign a contract. If I recall I was too busy so he asked if he could call tomorrow, we set a time but I again found myself too busy to deal with it. After a couple days he text me and asked if I was still willing to check it out, told him I just didn't have time to sign anything since I was out in the field. ***** said he would sign the contract on my behalf and send me a copy. I recall receiving my login information and eventually logging in to check it out, ***** kept asking if I had so I found a moment, after a couple days I knew it wasn't for me and that it was an expense not justified in my business plus I found the service to be severely lacking. I contacted AllData and they had someone named ****** who I guess is the manager in some capacity call me back, I told her I wanted to cancel and that she can see I haven't logged into their service more than a couple times. I didn't want anyone to think I was taking advantage and using the service everyday and now I wanted my money back or to discontinue service. I legitimately tried it and didn't want it. ****** finally said she would change the account to not continue billing and I thought the matter was resolved. However the following month I received an invoice, I reached out to AllData billing and was told I shouldn't receive any further bills. But it kept coming so I filed a complaint and ****** called me in a conference call with ***** who admitted he told me he would cancel the contract but ****** refused to do so. At this present moment AllData offers a free trial, yet they can't consider that and release me from this contract? MisleadingBusiness Response

We apologize for the negative experience. The account manager has reached out to ******* to try to resolve the issue, however he did sign a contract for a 1-year commitment. Our account management team has shared and reviewed the signed contract with the customer. We did offer additional training and support to improve his experience.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: This response, like ****** glosses over the fact that ***** told me if I wasn't happy with the service to let him know and he'd take care of it. Supposedly they record all their calls so it should not be too difficult to verify. Second, they continue to say I signed a contract yet I never did. Their employee signed it, I've never signed anything and haven't even seen this contract. What business, especially one who solicited me even though my numbers on the "Do not call register" would force a customer to continue using a product they're unsatisfied with? It's my fault that I believed their employee who fraudulently signed contracts and assured me if I didn't like it he'd do something? In my own business my ratings speak for themselves, I don't have a single rating less than 5 stars on ****** and that's because no matter what I want the customer to be satisfied. Even if that means no profit, the alternative is bad word of mouth which spreads quickly. AllData is owned by Auto Zone, whom I have an account and this influences my decision on where to purchase parts. Is it necessary for me to contact them and file a complaint? These aren't threats, I'm simply asking is it worth it for all the negative publicity to just let your customer return an item he's unsatisfied with? I haven't even logged into the service in months.Initial Complaint

On June 6 I agreed to signing up based on the fact that they would make this transition as smooth as possible. Within a week or maybe even less I was already calling the sales rep to let him know this was a lot more than what I expected and that I did not Sign up for this much disruption of my business. 1 - We are Apple owners - Program cannot work off safari. I have to have a system that is easily accessible by cell phone. 2 - Program is separated into 2 versions the invoicing version and the repairs version - I wanted one program that does it all together. 3 - no training was ever provided to me. I was told my account manager ********************* would reach out to me and provide me with step by step instructions on how to set up the program for my business. I spoke with her once and she told me to go through all of the videos provided online and if I had any questions to call customer service. This was I would say about week 1- 2 of me having the program including my repeated phone calls to the sales man to let him know it was NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR. That I expected training and never got it. 4 this program allows me to order within it self from auto parts stores. Autozone was set up and all the parts were available right away but ********** system and Advance was never figured out and no effort was put into trying to figure it out. 5 - Texting never worked - They have a company that does their text. I was told $20 (which I had to pay later, never told about extra charges) would get me **** texts. My $20 were drained in 1 week no clue where the money went. Also none of my texts EVER went through. I rely on texts for all communications with cust 6 - I told them about the issues I was having and all they did was give more and more time. They would take 1-2 days to get back to me. My other program ended up charging me again and they did too and the issues still have not been resolved. 7-I have lots of emails to back up my claims. Please let me know where to forward these.Initial Complaint

I sent multiple emails . Email 02.27.2023 Gm, I keep getting these so I must reiterate my position how tactics and trickery were used to get me to sign up for services.@**** if you recall my conversation with you on nov 25th 2022 and you assured me the phone calls are recorded to recall our conversation specifically how you NEVER mentioned that this was a one year commitment and you only needed the signed document to get me started. Over and over I communicated I only wanted a trial. Also my request from the get go on your website when I sent my info was that I wanted to evaluate your product since you offered a trial. I am asking again that you review the recording as you promised you would to help prove my position about signing up only for the evaluation period.I kept in constant contact with you all with what I had the impression was the trial period and expressed how I didnt have the need for your product since I only get a couple vehicles a month and even then I wouldnt need your product to look up these vehicles for further investigation. In dec 2022 I cancelled my account via the portal and removed my credit card to assure you all that I no longer wished to continue since the method to get me to sign up was not in full disclosure. I followed it up with an email and the phone call to both ***** and ****. I have a background in investigating fraud and deceit and if this request to stop processing invoices when services are no longer wanted and/or the method to sign up was fraudulently proposed then I will have no choice than to report your tactics to the BBB and any other entity that governs your business as well as a formal complaint to your higher ups.I am asking for a constant person to make a formal complaint.Messages below on what I keep email you @ *****:Got another one sir. ****** see below. I am not going to pay based on our previous conversation and discussion.Resolution is to cancel my account. I am injured and cannot work if I wantedInitial Complaint

Set up an account with ******** and shortly thereafter was contacted by alldata. They wanted me to sign up but the price was way too much. Alldata continued to call and offer better deals. Finally I was offered their basic service for $96 per month. The salesman said he'd help me get set up but was about to leave for the day and had to hurry. So he rushed me thru the start up process, which I'm guessing is where they sneak in the deception, and had me logged in. All was fine for 3 months and then they raised my price to over $200 per month. NEVER ONCE did they tell me the price would go up any amount let alone more than double! Absolutely feel scammed and this has caused a major disruption in my newly started business. Can not believe anyone could be so crooked! I've since signed up for ******** on demand and everything is great! And btw ******** has promised they won't raise my monthly rate one cent. I tried to reason with alldata but they were only interested in saying how they got me for one year. Literally laughing about it. These ppl need shut down!Initial Complaint
