on 7/27 mint mobile fraudulantly charged my credit card $79.00 for a allstate protection plan that I never even heard of,got ahold of mint (not easy) they said that they would cancel and did but that I had to cancel with allstate,called allstate they said had to do it online,I go online no place to cancel and cant speak to anyone,so I look on line and they do this to many people and some recieved no refund,this Im sure is illegal or at best bad buisness practice.I was supossed to renew in a few days for another year paid in advance but now even if I recieve my refund in a timely manner I wont have enough and might cncel alltogether.Business Response

On or about 6/24/2024 I renewed my yearly sub. with mint mobile. On 7/20/2024 I contacted ** asking them to switch my account over to a new unlocked phone I had purchased. I was told they would send me an eSIM, but never received it. I contacted ** again only to find out they were sending eSIM to incorrect email address. I went in the ** app to fix email address and was not allowed to make the change, update. I had one letter missing from email address on the appp, but I had been getting emails at my correct address for the entire time Ive been with **. I call ed ** told them the problem, they provided me a ticket number, its been a week now, Ive called them a total of 23 times in that week, ive talked to techs who answer and been transferred to 10 different supervisors. Ive been told by supervisors that Id be getting a call at a certain time from their legal team 8 times and no one ever calls. My income is based on me having this phone working at all times. Since the beginning when I was told they were sending me an eSIM my phone is unable to receive or make calls and text. Ive been lied to, hung up on, disconnected etc. *** had to pay to have another phone activated just to be able to contact them with no resolution at all, as I sit here writing this I am supposed to receive a call in next hour that I already know wont happen, my hands are tied, Ive done everything possible to resolve this with no resolution!Business Response

A little over a month ago i wanted to switch providers and take my number with me. I have contacted mint many times asking for my account number so i can port out.Every time i try to i am always told that they cannot verify that i am who i say i am.They want me to verify through a email address that i cant access unless i have the number they refuse to give **** have lost alot money because i cant access my contacts my email or anything.From what i hear this a common problem with them.All i want is my number a month and a half is little excessive.I feel like i am being punished for changing provider's.i would appreciate any help i can get.Business Response

In good faith I joined Mint Mobile in March of this year on an Unlimited Plan.After a short time I referred my wife who then also signed up (referral) for the same plan A couple of days later she saw a better Mint plan, the Unnecessary at ****** so she called **************** and asked them if she could change to the Unnecessary Plan on her referral and if I would still get the referral credit, they said yes. The ** person said that she would have to cancel the Unlimited Plan first then we could activate the Unnecessary Plan for referral.When we did activate the Unnecessary Plan a different ** person told her that the new plan was not eligible for the referral bonus???So I get no referral bonus, I cancelled my Unlimited Plan with them I called ** at Mint a few more times and was switched to one ** person then another each one now saying, no referral bonus (because a link had not been used, (There was no Unnecessary link). BTW, on their website it says a link is not really necessary.The ** people here are not on the same page, one says yes, others say no,and their written customer referral promises are not being honored.It says refer a friend, get a credit, there is no mention about disqualifying the Unnecessary Plan. As posted on Mint website.(THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS, JUST FREQUENTLY ASKED ONES.) In order to earn credit, your friends must use your unique sharing link to THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS, JUST FREQUENTLY ASKED ONES. purchase their plan. If one of your friends didnt use your unique referral code, youll have to get a new friend (kidding) to refer to Mint. With our new referral program, its never been easier to share your link and refer friends.Nothing but a runaround. I tried to switch to Mint Mobile and paid $52.01 on July 3, 2024. I was never able to activate my plan because Mint did not transfer my number. I have repeatedly tried to cancel the transaction to no avail. I received no goods and no services from Mint Mobile and the webiste and electronic communications are misleading and make it impossible to cancel/get a refund.Business Response

In regards to this concern, we attempted to process a refund however it was rejected due to an open case with PayPal. Refunds cannot be processed if customers have an open dispute with PayPal. The refund will need to be issued via PayPal's dispute process.

I bought a 3 months sim card plan plus an e-sim. They refuse to refound and give me the number because I only had 7 days money guarnteed. The problem is that I dont have signal on this sim almost nowhere in *********** and the internet is not working. On their signal map this area is show with strong signal. But thats a lie. I have my own line with Mint Mobile and ported in another line (8980) to make a family plan. At the time of the second lines renewal, we thought we didnt want to renew, so I contacted Mint and asked about cancellation. At the last minute, we decided to retain the line. A few weeks later, the second line user obtained a new phone and we called for help getting service on the new phone. Essentially, the new phone was not compatible with Mint and both the customer service representative and their supervisor agreed to a full refund on the second line (8980) for the remainder of the service period. Fast forward to weeks after that, I call Mint Mobile to try and port the second line (8980) to a new service provider and while on the call I realize that the full refund I was promised on that line was never issued. After much conversation, I was offered the refund AGAIN. The line was never ported because they made it so difficult and we had to get an entirely new phone number because they made it so difficult.Fast forward to three days after that. I am on my way to the airport to pick up a friend and suddenly my phone stops working. I use the first line, which was never in question. Mint cut service. When I call, they tell me they issued refund on line one (7472) and discontinued service. Service continues on the second line. The only way to reinstate service is for me TO PAY FOR ANOTHER PLAN!!!! No possible way. I had 17 days left on my plan and they wanted me to recommit at full price. TOTAL AND COMPLETE SCAM!!! JUST DO THE ******* So I am stranded at the airport and have no cell service. They will not issue a courtesy 1MB for me to contact my friend, they are holding me hostage over purchasing another plan, they have stolen my money, they have intentionally messed up the transaction, and cut my line for no reason. I have yet to port my number and I can only imagine what will happen there. TERRIBLE SCAM COMPANY!!Business Response
