Date of transaction: July 22nd Amount of transaction: $65 Details:I was a uAttend payroll (owned by Workwell Technologies) customer from July 2024 - February 2025. My experience with REMOVEDwas marked by repeated late tax filings, multiple notices from the REMOVEDand the REMOVED, and financial penalties resulting from uAttend's payroll tax errors. I continue to experience the consequences of these mistakes, including recently paying another REMOVEDpenalty for a late 2024 filing. I am also still awaiting nearly $2,000 in REMOVEDrefunds because I overpaid taxes to avoid additional penalties caused by uAttend's errors.Despite ending my relationship with uAttend and deactivating my account in February 2025, I recently discovered that the company charged my bank account $65 for 2025 W-2 services. A customer service representative initially acknowledged the charge was made in error and stated it would be corrected, but I was later informed by email that the charge was valid.I sent an email to REMOVED, Workwell Technologies, VP of REMOVEDon July 21st, letting him know about the current issue, but I received no response. This charge is unauthorized. I was no longer a customer, and any outstanding fees should have been addressed before my account was closed. In March 2025, Workwell reimbursed me for a portion of the damages caused by uAttend's errors. If any balance had existed, it should have been resolved at that time rather than charging my bank account more than a year later.I believe uAttend's repeated payroll tax errors and unauthorized billing demonstrate poor business practices, and I am seeking the BBB's assistance in resolving this matter.

    Business Response

Workwell Technologies appreciates the opportunity to respond to this complaint. We have reviewed the customers concerns, including the disputed $65 charge for 2025 W-2 services and the requested resolution.
After reviewing the account, we determined that the $65 W-2 charge was assessed in error. The customer had discontinued REMOVEDservices before 2025 W-2 services were required, and the charge should not have been processed. We sincerely apologize for the billing error and for the conflicting information the customer initially received regarding the validity of the charge.

We are taking the following actions to resolve the matter:
     - The full $65 charge will be refunded to the customer.
     - The account has been reviewed and marked to prevent any additional payroll-service charges.
     - The customers stored payment credentials will be removed or deactivated within our payment-processing systems so they cannot be used for future transactions. Any information that must be retained for legal, financial-recordkeeping, fraud-prevention, or regulatory purposes will be maintained securely and will not be used to initiate additional charges.

Workwell Technologies considers the disputed billing matter resolved through the full refund and the additional account safeguards described above. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this error caused.
