I paid this business $1300.00 up front for the most incompetent/corrupt experience that I have had in 30 years as a Doctor. ***** and his hapless helpers are complete frauds. I actually think that the supposed Owner/Consultant ***** is sitting in his living room on a Lazy Boy recliner and lap top in hand, scamming hard working Doctors out of business start up money and laughing at the sucker's that he swindles. He took full payment up front and 8 months later, hasn't completed what a competent credentialing company would accomplish in 45 days MAX, which is the industry standard. He needs to be sued and put out of business, he is a predator that will take your money and not perform the task that he was paid for. The absolute worst business experience in 30 years, ***** must be held accountable. When confronted, he is sarcastic while trying to feed me yet another excuse. He claims to be a Consultant, watch out, he is not! Please, this is hard to believe but he actually said to me because he didn't do his job getting me credentialed with Insurance companies, which is what I paid him for, "treat the patients for free, you will have a patient for life.", true story. He told me that over and over. I have a Family to support, unfortunately I can't afford to keep a business running for free ***** *******, Owner of Doctors Business Network in **********. What he is doing is so outrageous, how is he getting away with this? Please, avoid DBN, or you will regret it. ***** is becoming more bold by the day. ***** will promise to call you back, same day, and NEVER calls back, absolute lie. Read the reviews from other Doctors that he has done the exact same thing to!!!!!

    Re: BBB Complaint #***********

    To: *** *****

We were surprised and disappointed to learn of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau.
To address a few key points from your complaint:

First, regarding your comments about our team member ******.He is not the owner of Doctors Business Network. He is a staff member working in our ************, ********** office and operates from a standard office workstation. He does not work from home and does not use a recliner at the office.

From the beginning, we were referred to you and worked closely with you. Our engagement involved credentialing you with approximately four insurance providers and securing an NPI 2 for your business.

Here is a summary of the status of that work:

    NPI 2: Successfully obtained

Medicare and *********** Credentialing completed and you are now in network with both
United Healthcare: The process has been delayed and we are actively checking on the current status
********: Applications were submitted twice. The first was terminated due to expired liability insurance. The second was rejected because the required five-year employment gap explanation was not submitted in time despite several reminders and multiple communications with you directly
You were personally involved in the ******** process including phone conversations with ******** representatives. We have numerous emails from you confirming what documentation ******** required.
Throughout this engagement, we maintained a professional relationship. In fact, you had expressed satisfaction with our services and even requested our assistance with billing. We began by submitting your first patient file to the attorney per your instructions.

****** recalls you expressing interest in additional consulting services but mentioned budget constraints. He also mentioned that he did advised you that if you encounter a patient with insurance you are not yet credentialed with, it may be worthwhile if feasible to treat the patient at no cost while we begin the credentialing process. This strategy is intended to build long-term relationships and maximize future patient retention.

Please remember, as we have reiterated throughout, Doctors Business Network is not affiliated with the insurance companies. We do not control their timelines or decisions. Our role is to handle your applications, ensure accurate submissions, and manage follow-ups. You have had ongoing access to a dedicated client portal that reflects real-time updates on your credentialing status. We are aware that you have used this portal and have also contacted insurance companies independently.

We remain committed to transparency and professionalism and we hope this clarifies the concerns raised.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield: The original submission was rejected due to closed panels, but a new application has been submitted, and it is now being processed under case #********.

    Complaint #********
    Dear Better Business  Bureau,
I am writing in response to the complaint regarding the credentialing process for ******** ***.
Doctors Business Network (DBN) was hired on August 17, 2024,to facilitate the credentialing of ******** *** with ******** and Blue Cross/Blue Shield in ********. As we inform all of our clients at the outset, the credentialing process typically takes between 90 to 120 business days, depending on the insurance companies. It is important to note that *** is not an insurance company and, therefore, has no control over the processing time once the applications are submitted.
To provide an update on the progress:
Aetna: Approved, with an effective date of September 26, 2024.
Blue Cross/Blue Shield: The initial application was denied due to full panels. A new application has been submitted and is currently being processed under reference number 129298894.
******** IL: The application with ID #************** is still in process. Unfortunately, ******** is experiencing significant delays.
Our most recent follow-up call was on March 24, 2025. We continue to actively monitor the status of the applications and follow up accordingly.

We are not directly affiliated with ********, **********************, or any other insurance provider. As part of our agreement, ******** *** is also welcome to contact the insurance companies directly using the information available in our portal to inquire about the status of her applications.
For your reference, I have attached a part of the credentialing agreement signed by ******** *** on August 20, 2024. Please take note of Section 6, No Warranty or Guarantee, which clearly states:
"You expressly acknowledge and agree that credentialing is a lengthy process subject to delays and decisions that are outside **** control. Accordingly, *** provides no warranty or guarantee as to the timing of the credentialing process, nor does *** warrant or guarantee that your application will be approved by any Designated Plan. ************* disclaims all liability arising out of or related to rejections, delays, or interruptions in the credentialing and enrollment process that are beyond DBNs control."

We paid the company to get credentialing for insurance companies ******************** Aetna, BCBS, and Humana) back around Dec 15, 2023. We are still awaiting credentialing for all but one of these. We have reached out to the company for updates but they never follow through. My Team had been calling Mon, Wed, *** and keeping records to only be told by them that they will email us or follow-back up with us. We have no started calling daily and they just hang the phone up. No replies to our emails either.

DBN has submitted all applications on the Providers behalf& the Provider has been approved for several Insurance Companies, then the Provider hired DBN to submit additional applications for him.  Any delays in the Insurance Companies finalizing the applications have to do solely with the Provider(the Provider would have to comment on that issue). DBN will continue to follow up on all outstanding applications

    Complaint: 22261727

I am rejecting this response because: I have not done anything to delay my applications. DBN was paid to do the credentialing and yet I've had the insurance companies reaching out to me for documents. I took care of those documents in a timely fashion and even sent the email correspondence to DBN so that they could follow-up with the job to which they were paid to do. So I flatout disagree that I had anything to do with delay. My Staff and myself have been reaching out to DBN for any and all updates. We have to keep calling them to get any updates and now our calls are ignored or we are told they will followback up and never do.

Yes, we have paid to get credentialing done in both ******* and ******* totaling 10 insurances. We have only gotten credentialed fully with signed contracts for 2/10 and this has been going on since December of 2023. 2/10 for a process that started last year is beyond poor results. On top of that I'm having to call daily and complain to BBB to get any thing worked out.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

I started the process to have DBN credential me with ******** and ******** in my state. The provider application was very long and has a save/resume later feature. I never finished completing the form because it was really long. Then they emailed me saying they received the form that I never submitted and asked for payment. This tells me they were never intending to actually follow through because they tried to collect money before collecting all of the information they would actually need.

I have asked repeatedly for a refund with no response. Looking to have my money refunded. Medicare, Cigna, Humana have already been approved.  Fallon Health network is closed to the Provider, DBN has submitted the application again. DBN will continue to follow-up on all applications until they are finalized

I am rejecting this response because: CAQH was last attested on May 17th. I will update again. There has not been any documentation sent over for these approvals despite repeat inquiry. Also I paid for Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts, BCBS, and United Healthcare. There is no mention on the status of these applications. I want a refund for all applications not sent in at this point. I am also asking for refunds for all other applications that lack proof of submission and approval. This is way past an appropriate timeline. A refund is the action of choice for this matter. I do not care to waste anymore time and resources with this company.

DBN was supposed to do my credentialing for my home care agency. I have tried numerous times to contact someone. They dont return my calls and when someone answers they put me on hold and then hang up. They have my money and never supplied a service. I have requested a refund verbally and via email. I have yet to get a response. The few times I spoke with someone they say they will call me back and I never get a return call. I have emailed no response. The state has nothing on record they did not do the job promised. I want a full refund. They took my money with no intention on doing the work they promised. To Whom It May Concern:I am writing to file a formal complaint against Doctors Business Network. Our experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. We engaged their services and invested a substantial sum of money in the hopes of securing insurance carriers for our medical practice, with a promised timeline of 140 days. However, well over six months have passed, and we have discovered that Doctors Business Network has not only failed to meet their commitment but has also engaged in dishonest practices. Despite our financial commitments for multiple insurance carriers, they applied for only one. When we reached out to these insurance providers to verify the status of our applications, they had no record of any submissions made on our behalf. To make matters worse, it has come to our attention that we are not alone in this ordeal. We recently spoke with another provider who entrusted Doctors Business Network with their insurance needs and encountered the same disheartening experience. This provider has now been waiting for an entire year without any progress, and it appears that their money, like ours, has effectively been stolen. Adding insult to injury, Doctors Business Network has now gone completely unresponsive, failing to answer phone calls or address our concerns in any meaningful way. In light of these circumstances, we urge you to investigate Doctors Business Network and take appropriate action to prevent other businesses from falling victim to their misleading and unscrupulous practices. It is our sincere hope that our complaint will serve as a warning to others who may be considering their services. Sincerely,****** ****** ************
