  This business targets seniors for scamming. They lie and steal. They steal tires that were ordered and put on a cheaper tire.They damage tires to convince people to buy new ones.BEWARE

  Yesterday on July 1 bought tires online, made appointment for July 2 11:45 am. On July 1 I went in because I received email the tires arrived, and hopefully they can installed it early. Waited about 2 hours didnt want to wait any more then left no problem. July 2 arrive for appointment they booked me in since 9 am waited until past 11:45am , I got no service. I was upset and wanted to speak with the manager. They place me as walk-in because yesterday on July 1, they gave that appointment to someone else did not tell me. I waited for nothing. I requested a refund left upset time wasted. First they could have told me or ask if I still wanted my 11:45am appt on July 1 . Because apparently I never cancelled it.

  Deceptive Ads - Discount Tire, Arizona also known as America's Tire in California, is not a BBB accredited business for good reason. Discount Tire advertises " if you are not satisfied with one of or tires, bring them back", the deception/implication is you will get a credit: NOT SO. NO CREDIT for the unsatisfactory tire you purchased from Discount, Discount will sell you a replacement set at full price. Discount is NO DIFFERENT from most tire retailers.

  I would avoid this business at ALL costs! First let me start by saying i never post personal feelings and i also would never post an issue that only relates to me. i post reviews when it affects ALL and ANY of the community. That being said, i purchased 4 new tires. They didnt have the ******** brand I wanted, but personnel recommended what they had in stock, and while it was a brand i had never heard of, he reassured me they come with a 55k mile warranty. I said ok sold. I only put about 35k miles on tires and they are worn to the nub and need replacing. I dont speed, i always rotate tires and there is NO reason to wear out this fast, unless they are just cheap tires. In any case, i contacted DT and they told me they dont care about customer service by their answer. Thats an estimate. I said no no no, i was told its a warranty, otherwise how broad is that, you could apply that theory with any item. Thats the reason some tires have a 35k or 45k or 55k warranty! Now if it had been that i drove 50k i would not be complaining because the extra 5k could be considered an estiomate, but to barely travel half the distance...thats just a scam! This place has terrible customer service, complete crooks and liars to boot! There is nothing worse than telling a customer one thing while you are trying to get their business, then lie later on when it turns out you are not making money off the customer. I wasnt even asking for money back, or something free, i just asked for what ANYONE would want, pro-rate it based on the warranty and apply that amount to the purchase of 4 new tires. They are such crooks, they dont even care about future business, thats obvious, they are just so greedy they would rather lose business and kept scamming people. I may also understand if they said my tires dont need replacing, but there is nothing more deceitful than a business that points out a problem, one they caused, then denies responsibility!

  They rounded my lug nuts and tried to charge my money. They messed up my car and charged my for lug nuts. I told them no. They keep raining the rates and cost of tires and do crappy work to cars. They charge way to much. They say the tire is this much than have so many fees once you come in

  This location consistently trys to upsell products that are in no way needed, and trys to use scare tactics to sell the stuff.I would avoid this location at all costs.2x I have brought this problem to the managers attention - ****** and each time was very rude . Do what you want but when you get ripped off here dont say ,you weren't warned.The W *********** location is phenomenal drive the extra 10 miles to that location and aave yourself the headache..

  I've had EXCELLENT experience when having service twice with this amazing shop. ******* ****** had personal contact with me before the work was done. Very professional both times from a very honest, very efficient owner. I'm 83 and have seen lots of ripping off of women and seniors...not at Discount Tire Center!!!

  PALATINE IL location BEWARE.I have been going to discount tire for years and I had my tires serviced last back in late 2021. I recently went to get some new tires and come to find out, my lugs were over torqued and snapping off. The manager there claimed that whoever last serviced my tires, over torqued them and now they're snapping off. That I will need to go to a mechanic and get them taken off. Funny enough once I had informed him that this location was the exact location to have serviced my tires last, he back peddled and said it was due to not maintenancing my tires in years. He recommended me to go to HIS mechanic of choice and I did. That mechanic said that he was "full of crap". There is no way that not servicing your tires would cause your lugs to over torque themselves. I ended up spending about $800 to get the issue fixed and I filed a claim with discount tire and they claimed that they would give me $150 because they "vaule" my business. After I already spent $600 for 2 tires plus the $800 it cost to get my lugs torched off. If you live in the ******** IL area, beware of their location. The mechanic that torched my lugs said to me that it is not the first time they have had people come to him for this exact reason.

  I took my truck into Discount Tires today to have a nail removed and the tire patched and noticed that they now do alignments. I worked at Discount directly out of high school in the 70s in ******* at their ************** by the way. The guy they dressed up like an old woman who threw the tire through the window in the TV commercial was my ***** and worked at the Mertocenter store.After having my flat repaired, my front end is out of alignment pulling hard to the left while the steering wheel is now tilted to the right. I recently had my whole front end rebuilt and the alignment was perfect. So now I either need to pay for a front end alignment, or my tires will wear out prematurely. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BY DISCOUNT TIRES AND I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK.

  So I went back the next day to get my free realignment and went to pick the vehicle up. I was told by management that they couldn't align my front end because of a sheered bolt on the steering rack. I know my vehicle and there is no such condition. The manager told me that they will let Brakes Plus align it for me. I then asked the child running the alignment area to show me the sheered bolt. We both laid under the truck and he pointed to the drivers side bolt, which wasn't sheered. I asked the manager if there was a limit on the Brakes Plus alignment because if there is a problem with my bolt, I want to take a closer look before getting an alignment. He said "no time limit." I jumped in the truck and began to pull away. The first time I hit the brake a loud "pop" occurred. I am thinking "what the heck!" I got out on the road and pulled into the left turn lane and hit the brake and my whole truck jumped left 5 feet into oncoming traffic and I nearly when head on with a black car. Oh, I was livid, I managed to limp back to the Discount Tire and demanded a manager. I told him that my truck is now a death trap. I walked to the left front tire and shook it and it was solid. I went to the right side and the camber bolts were completely loose and I pointed it out to the manager saying "I can't believe that you sent me into traffic like this!" He said that he will have my truck towed to Brakes Plus, took my keys and left me walking when I live 10 miles away. It took me 2 hours to get home. I called Brakes Plus and the manager said a tech had my truck on the rack and was examining it. He was laughing at what Discount did to me. He said that they would call me first thing in the morning. He called the next morning and told me that my truck is ready. I drove my motorcycle to work that day. After work I asked that they have my truck towed back to Discount because it's 5 miles to Brakes Plus and he said that they would drive me there. I picked up my truck and it was fine. No issues with a bolt or any such thing. Now I had a motorcycle and truck 10 miles from home. I drove the motorcycle home and took a bus back to get my truck. Thanks Discount this 4 day adventure. I went in with a nail and got my truck back 4 days later.

  I had an appt at 9:15 am for a tire rotation, I arrived at 9:00. By 9:20 the Mgr got tired of me standing, waiting for service. Mgr acknowledged the appt, abot 9:30 staff said I had no appt and that they will try to work me in, in an hour or so. Mgr explained that an appt doesn't matter because walkins and appts both have the same wait. I am sorry, but Drs Keep appts, restuarants keep reservations, but there is no such thing as an appointment at this Discount Tire. I had purchased tires from other Discount Tires for decades and have not been treated thusly before.
