1 starHOAMCO was hired in January by our ***** of ********* without a community vote and aware of their F BBB rating but hired them anyway, which was a HUGE mistake. We were sent a rude, defensive and unprofessional Community Manager and our community has gone drastically downhill from lack of communication and transparency to inefficient processes and unpopular changes she implemented. A manager should remain impartial and treat all residents with respect, however, this manager has been influenced by our unprofessional ***** right from the start without listening to the other side. She has divided our community even more than it was before she came. Due to her inability to handle upset residents and her defensive attitude, police were called on several occasions. Now the ***** hired a police office to ****** her to/from her car at ***** meetings. What a waste of our association money. If the ***** is so concerned, they should be escorting her in and out. Our ***** and Community Manager continue to bully, intimidate and discriminate against the elderly in our community who disagree with them. It's very difficult in an aging community to get rid of an unprofessional ***** and HOAMCO or they would both be gone.HOAMCO

1 starI live in a *** association that is managed by HOAMCO and still trying to figure out how the rules are enforced by the *** and the management company. The past years the rules have been a pick and choose thing but the past 8 months NONE are being enforced. An *** is not just to collect the monthly dues or is it. I know when the day comes for me to sell, I will not be giving a copy of the rules since it is do what you want and maybe they will fine you or may not just roll the dice on the whole thing. Company needs a whole new team or policy.HOAMCO

1 starThis company has NO BUSINESS managing a cheap apartment building let alone a supposedly high end condominium in downtown *******.Repairs go on FOR MONTHS, elevator repairs, door repairs, and I got stuck in an elevator myself! The pool was just flagged as being "too green" to use!!!!! A project to paint the 4 floor garage has taken almost 50 days to complete. Their ability to manage and communicate progress on projects is lacking. And, we pay very high HOA fees!!! In my opinion, their staff is not professional, they do not know how to communicate, people at front desk and assistant manager NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!HOAMCO

Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. Our team has thoroughly investigated the matters outlined in your review and we would like to share the following information with you:Garage Paint: The garage painting project was meticulously planned from 6-28-23 to 7-25-23 to span over four sections of service. We provided notifications to all ************* Members on June 23, 2023, using the ************* Software. Additional reminders were sent whenever necessary to those Members whose parking spaces would be affected. As the painting progressed, we ensured that touch-up work was carried out as required. Once each area's painting was concluded, clear instructions were provided for Members to return to their parking spaces. We aimed to keep everyone informed throughout this process, with as many as 12 notices and follow-up reminders being sent regarding the project.Condition of the Pool: Regrettably, the pool experienced a temporary chemical imbalance, resulting in its greenish hue. Immediate action was taken to address this issue, and the Members were promptly notified about the temporary closure of the pool while we rectified the water and chemical balance. It's important to note that our team diligently maintains and cleans the pool on a regular basis to ensure its optimal condition.Elevator: We deeply apologize for the inconvenience you experienced while being stuck in the elevator. We want to assure you that the elevators at ************* undergo monthly servicing. In case any issues arise between scheduled services, we promptly engage our vendor for necessary repairs. We encourage you to reach out to your Community Manager to provide more details about your elevator experience. We are fully committed to addressing your concerns and providing the best possible assistance.Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we are dedicated to enhancing your experience at *************. Please don't hesitate to communicate with us about any concerns you may have in the future. We are here to support you in every way we can.Review fromMichael M

1 starI give these people no stars. They are pitiful, they don't communicate with residents and poorly manage their responsibilities. They are hit and miss managing CCR's, the compliance department lacks organization and structure, the *********************** needs discipline and the management is non responsive. They operate like government, loaded with bureaucrats who do nothing but pass the buck. I was a private subdivision manager and understand the business. I currently live in the ******** Lakes Community, ******* and have to say with the amount of fees we pay monthly I would expect better management and service from them. Don't these people realize they work for us, we pay their salaries and support them? I would not recommend HOAMCO and would vote to seek another management company should we get the opportunity.HOAMCO

1 starWell, 6 years ago we had a home built in HR area of ************, **. The first two years our area was somewhat maintained. People were NOT allowed to widen driveways by 5 plus feet on each side, people weren't allowed to paint their homes an UNAPPROVED COLOR. People were not allowed to park in the front yard gravel, fully parked by the way, and no street parking at night. So, I have complained about these above issues so many times and have do so with 6-8 Community MGRS. NOTHING, and I do mean NOTHING is ever done. IN fact, when we picked a color for our home, it was 4 choices, now because this HOA/Comminity MGR for Hoamco is to lazy to do anything about this, I was told there are now 15 color choices???? Also, on street parking is a VERY REAL issue. NO ONE wants to follow CC&R'S. NOT even HOAMCO or this board. I am so sorry we had our home built in this community. NEVER EVER AGAIN would we have anything to do with HOAMCO IF and when we sell. We have lived in HOA'S before, in fact was on the board of a few. NO board did NOT follow what they expect homeowners to follow. Terrible. IF the board and IF HOAMCO are not willing to make people follow the existing CC&R'S WHY DO WE HAVE ANY!!! We do not even know who to contact any more that will do anything.HOAMCO

Dear ********************, HOAMCO, as the Management Company for ***************, does work at the direction of the ***** of ********** Within that direction we can confirm that the *************** ***** utilizes the governing documents to set the procedures and policies currently in place for community compliance. This sets the structure for the Compliance Officer to complete the inspections and send the letters of non-compliance when required. In order for compliance to be successful and per the ******* revised state statute, we (HOAMCO) must have an observer of the compliance violation in order to initiate compliance in any form. The violation can either be observed by the Compliance Officer during their routine drives or by a member/homeowner who submits a formal complaint. While we all do try to avoid the submission of a formal complaint against a neighbor sometimes it is necessary to resolve the violation if no other methods have achieved the desired results. The formal complaint will include the name of the member submitting the information, and understandably *** create an uncomfortable situation between members/neighbors in the community which we always seek to avoid. While violations *** occur after hours or during times the compliance officer is not doing their routine inspections, and therefore a formal complaint *** be necessary. Examples *** include parking on landscaping during a weekend, parking in areas not allowed after hours/at night, or light nuisances occurring in the evening or on weekends. Being witness to neighbors with unkept yards or neighbors who install things without receiving prior approval can be frustrating. If HOAMCO is made aware of someone who installed something without approval, we are able to send a letter advising them they must submit to the architectural committee to be reviewed and either approve or deny the request even if the item has already been installed which *** result in removal or correction if not approved. At times the ***** of ********* will need to engage in legal action against a member who fails to listen or complete compliance corrections, and as these circumstances are protected by ******* state statute the Community Manager is unable to provide details to anyone other than the ***** of ********** If you have a specific item or items still outstanding, please let your Community Manager know, and we will work together to explain the status as able or the next steps that *** be necessary in regard to a formal complaint be filed. Respectfully, HOAMCO Community ManagementReview fromRenee r.

1 starNot very happy with this hoa at all. They have said that we owe them over $3,000 for fees that were there mistake in the closing costs. They sent ** a letter two months after we closed on escrow saying that added fees were due. I have asked them for a breakdown and explanation of all fees but they continue to just send the same statement. We have tried too pay double payments and did so for 6 months until they sent an email stating that the board would not except the payments because we were not paying down our fees and that they were actually increasing instead of going down. Also our hoa fees a month are $350 with 109 units paying that. The outside of our places look awful. They are not maintaining our yards and have actually removed some sprinklers to "save on water". Only the board members yards are very well maintained. They do not edge or use the weed eater. They only partially mow some of the yards. Why are we paying so much for nothing being done? Trying to contact the hoa is ridiculous. We only have the option to email or call one person. He is the only contact we have with the company. He has portrayed himself that women are beneath him and will only deal with men. When I ha e emailed him he responds back to my husband but not me. I have repeatedly asked for an explanation to all fees and a breakdown for what they are for and what they mean. I have not received any information on that. They are not a good company at all. The only explanation that I have received on all the fees due was that the title company was supposed to pay them that amount but did not now it is our responsibility to pay what they didn't. The paperwork we received and signed at closing stated that all hoa fees due was $550 for everything. We paid that. Now they are threatening a lein on our place. We have tried paying more and making arrangements but was told the board wouldn't except anything but full payment. So frustrating. May have to look into a lawyer and follow legal suit.HOAMCO

Some things have been acknowledged yes but some have not. I have some concerns about what some of the charges are. In the yearly report it has almost the same amount or at least half of it on our bill. How is that? I asked for a breakdown of what everything was on our charges from escrow, what the meaning of everything was and what it goes towards. I have specifically asked what certain things were on that list and just keep getting the same response. I did not ask for the yearly report I asked for what was on our list of amount owed and what all of them were. Just having the name of what each thing is is not helpful to me. We are first time home buyers and need things explained in detail. Why is that so hard? Nobody has bothered to personally talk to us or explain. It's hard when we only have one number and one email to the whole company. I would rather deal with someone else but that doesn't seem to be an option.HOAMCO

1 starThis is an incredibly inept HOA company that consistently does not reply to phone calls or emails. The only thing they seem to be good at is tacking on late fee's, interest and liens on properties. They have an incredibly high turnover rate of employees further complicating issues as the new employees are constantly trying to fix the mistakes of the previous employees, before they themselves quit. In addition, to make a payment for your HOA fee online, you are charged a $39.88 CONVENIENCE fee. Unfortunately if you have a home that is managed by them, you are in trouble.HOAMCO
