COMPLAING Transaction Date: September 13, 2022 Amount Paid: $65 (for $100 coverage of the ********* Marathon event)Committed to Provide: Coverage in case of incident Nature: They are declining the claim. As an athlete I am very aware of my health and recovery. I do not rely on constant trips to a physician with every event. I am a small business owner and pay for my insurance out of pocket. I focus on living healthy instead of unnecessary trips to a hospital. This is no different. I do not need to know to a physician to know that I hyperextended my knee and am unable to train and run this event. I tried to seek resolution with them, but they refused. I purchased ticket insurance for the ******* 500. My truck broke down on the way (4 hour drive) and I finally found the problem, but too late to make the race and also injured an eye so we returned home.Now Fanshield is coming up with excuse after excuse instead of honoring their policy.I'm an ASE Master L1 tech and I fixed my own truck but they said I must have a receipt from someone else???I'm on extended medical leave with no current job and have serious eye Retina issues which have been documented to Fanshield, but STILL NO REFUND!!!!!!Business Response

This company appears to be in the business of denying claims.
Have filed complaint with ****** regarding them selling ******************** FAKE products attached to their seat sales.
Will be paying a lawyer to sue ******************** to recover the premiums and force payment of claim.

Have been in contact with my previously assigned ******* 500 corporate official to forward and discuss with ****************** the need to re-evaluate future business relationships with Fanshield or their corporate owner based in *******.
I see MANY complaints filed against this company for basically similar reasons.
Maybe my ******* Secretary of State can stop them from doing business in *******.
When I file claims with my county Small Claims Court, I will see about attaching the *********** to the complaint as with the State court when I pay a lawyer.
I'm sure NASCAR will not appreciate their type of operations when they learn of this continuing situation.
I own property in ******** **, so I will also see about filing in-state charges / complaint with my county seat there with the ** Secretary of State.

FanShield was to provide hotel refund if I was unable to attend the event that I had booked the hotel. When my wife came down with respiratory problems and prescribed medication and told to rest which precluded making the trip they essentially made the process to get the refund impossible. On 11/8/22, I purchased 1 ticket for an upcoming concert for 11/21. I had purchased FanShield's insurance just in case. On 1/18, I experienced a health situation that has prevented me from attending the 11/21 concert. I was not made aware that additional medical documentation was needed in the event of illness. I do not feel comfortable sending a third party entity medical documentation, and I am requesting a refund on the basis of that as well as the fact that there was no language around medical documentation required in order to utilize FanShield's service. COVID and RSV cases are extremely high in my county, and I feel it is impractical that FanShield is not more focused on community safety.Business Response

My husband became very Ill and the doctors do not want you to come to the office to get a note if you have Covid symptoms. I know their policy excludes pandemic which is very confusing because Covid is no longer considered a pandemic. I feel this is a scam. We are both seniors on fixed income. This is terrible to be treated this way. Please have them approve my refund.Business Response

I was suppose to be going on vacation to ******** and I booked a hotel on the way to stay over night on my wain Columbia S, C. and I took out insurance. Due to the hurricane I had to cancel my vacation and the hotel. Now the insurance on the room refuses to pay even though I had to cancel due to hurricane.
