As a minority, seeking and receiving proper medical care is often tricky. Folks like me end up having to self medicate because of doctors and clinics like these places. I'm positive my race played was a factor, but I've been hearing about doctors with FAT PHOBIA. I patronized a ****** ******* on August 1, 2025, first severe ongoing pain due to weight gain from a prescription Risperdone. The Orthopedic doctor sent me to her so that I could start a plan that requires a dietitian and physical therapy. My skeleton is only capable of holding 197 pounds, but because of that Risperdone, I now weigh just over 300 pounds. Her prescription was *************** and to come back in 4 to 6 weeks. When I called to complain and to ask for a refund since I could have gone to any *******, CVS, *********, or even Kroger and got the same prescription for far less than $40.00 from any pharmacy technician behind the counter; they mocked me. I was told that they my complaint had been filed on August 1, 2025. I was chastised for calling back to check on it the following week. Representative said I called back too soon. Same response or nearly the same each time I called back later. I am grateful that I was able to qualify for the *** Card. Although expensive, the ***, ***, and *** tinctures work better than Tiger ******* weight gain is causing sciatica. It's already eroded 3 discs in my lower back. That ****** ******* had her assistant perform an x-ray. ***************...? I no longer see the Orthopedic doctor as he works there at that Core Institute.

If you want to feel like a product on an assembly line and not a patient, CORE is for you.
The good(ish): The doctors. They have good reputations but boy do they seem overworked, which can be scary when you consider they are SURGEONS.
The bad: Everything else. Customer service, getting ahold of anyone. They schedule an appointment to make an appointment (HUH?) and then don't call. Wait times are horrible, but there is a workaround I found. Can't post it here because it wouldn't be a workaround anymore lol. They are very nice, but good luck getting anyone through the phone tree. And talking to your doctor's office staff? HAHAHA-you have a better chance getting Taylor Swift on the phone.
DO NOT USE THEIR PHYSICAL THERAPY! While they have some competent staff (I loved my physical therapist) they are WAY TOO BUSY to give you the attention you need and deserve. Most of the time they are balancing three clients each, so if you are doing an exercise wrong, the chances of anyone catching it is small. The exercise techs are a coin flip - some are great and others are more interested in telling everyone about their plans for the weekend. If I had the chance to work with my PT in a smaller setting, I would in a heartbeat--she's great. But their process sucks and you won't feel you're getting any individual attention.
Don't let them text you! You will get relentlessly bullied for missing an appointment (and yes, I do mean BULLIED) you will get texts and emails constantly over the next week (even if you're late for an appointment or if you call to cancel and the receptionist forgets to mark it down - both happened to me).
If you want to know everything that is wrong with healthcare today, look no further than CORE. Hire good people, work them too hard, ensure patients have more appointments than they need ($), profit over people, profit over care, profit over treatment, profit over, well you get the picture. At CORE, you'll be a number. One anonymous face in thousands.

If I was able to leave zero stars, I would. They called to schedule a Tele appointment and had to call me back.. I have been an extreme pain for approximately a week waiting for their diagnosis of my hip and lower spine. I asked if there was something for the pain and they rudely made the assumption that they do not prescribe opiates this insulted me assuming that is what I wanted. I inquired if there is anything between ******* and opiates that they might prescribe for nerve pain. This place is a money making scam that will try to get you in for pointless appointments. At this point, I will be talking to my primary care physician for a referral to a more knowledgeable and helpful staff to help me figure out what is wrong with my hip and what to do to remedy it.

Run. Don't do it. Inform yourself. Read other reviews. Believe them. Nightmare with communication, office staff, financial information. Unprofessional. Dr. ***** deserves better. I went to ************* instead and there was an immediate difference. Saw Dr. ******** and I can't be happier!

Hello, I hope this message gets to the right people who would appreciate good service. I recently visited the North phx clinic with my elderly mother for an appointment, during the appointment I had a concern and addressed it with the X-Ray Tech *****, who was awesome and was able to address my concern with the office manager, who was very attentive and listened to me and tackled it right away with any hesitation, sorry I did not catch his name. When I got to Doctor ********, he walked in and talked about her history, which was very informative. He did his tests in the office and offered us a few avenues to go with my mom's situation, I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart...I already see a difference in your treatment. Thank you all Again and again.

If I could give this place a 1/2 of a star I would. I hurt my shoulder in April 2024, was referred to the Core by my PCP, seen in early May 2024. Mid May 2024 scheduled for surgery. I didn't hear back from scheduler until about 4 days before August 14th surgery date. They needed me to get pre authorized by my insurance, they couldn't do it. Literally up until 3:30 the day before my scheduled surgery date I was informed that they didn't get the authorization back and could schedule me for the following Friday or mid September 2024. I'm done, this as made me doubt the level of professionalism from the bottom to the top. I will find another surgeon and facility. No one should have to jump through such hoops and put through this kind of stress and inconvenience.
