My a/c wasnt keeping up so I called semper fi heat g/cooling to come and take a look at it. I called semper fi because they were advertising a $17.95 inspection on their website. On August 27 a technician came out climbed on the roof and took a look. His diagnoses was for me to purchase a new a/c. I told him I still had another year warranty on this a/c. He said with the warranty the part I needed was going to be $3000 and the compressor was going to go out within a year so in his good conscience he still recommended that I buy a new unit. I told him before I spend $30,000 (his quote) I was going to get a second opinion. He charged me $75 for the day. I told him the website was advertising a $17.95 offer. He said he didnt know anything about that. Still charged me 75$. I called another company to take a look and they pointed out that two holes had recently been put into my supply vent. So I climbed on the roof and took a look and sure enough I could put my thumb through the hole it was so big. Cold ac air was bellowing out from my roof. I was so upset. Semper fi had sent over a tell us about your experience email. So I told them everything Ive just told you in this complaint. And I never heard back from them. Not to mention the holes in the vent the other company told me my ac looked great it needed a cleaning and installed an a/c soft starter that helps my compressor use less power when it turns on.Business Response

On September 13th - ******* at Semper Fi came out to my house to discuss replacing my 20 year old AC / 90% Furnace system. I provided my home details and concerns. My 20 year old AC couldn't properly cool my home with many hot areas as well as running non stop all summer with very high $500 - $700 electric bills. I was told that a Lennox Inverter system with indoor air handler and 90% Furnace would provide me with 70% energy savings over my current 20 year old system and that it would be quiet and very energy efficient. This came with a price tag of almost 25K. The system was installed on Monday 9/15/2025. The furnace was not in stock and got put on the wrong truck and ultimately made it later in the day. The guys showed up around 10am due to the issues with the furnace. The team that came out were very kind and worked hard to get everything installed and finished the install around 5PM. Unfortunately, I had to leave for my child and when I returned, the indoor unit sounded like a freight train! ***** came out a couple of days later and found that the control board had a manuf issue and replaced it and the unit was cycling on and off correctly per his review. I was told ****** or **** would be coming out and doing a post job walk through with me which is something I was assured of before the install. This did not happen. I also let ******* know that I am very concerned by the amount of energy the system is pulling as it is pulling more energy based on the *** usage daily log than my 20 year old system. ******* let me know 9/21 that **** would be reaching out to discuss the system and schedule to look at it with me to see how they can correct the issue. It is now 9/24. I have not received a call from ****, my system is still drawing way too much energy for what I was promised by ******* and ******* has made the 25K sale and is no longer interested in solving the issue. You can take this system back. There have been nothing but lies by Semper Fi!Business Response

Semper fi (*****) called again. Manager ***** said the tech that was coming was one of their most experienced & would have all the details ahead of time & that I would get a follow up call by the end of the day Monday. **** did a very thorough investigation of AC unit overflows onto felt drainage pipes were blocked. Install of both ************** were done incorrectly (did not know Semper fi installed it). Said he recommended the pan and drainage be replaced. We purchased an ** unit from Semper Fi and its approximately 16 months old. Our ** broke down last month. They came out and said a valve needed to be replaced. We had to wait a few days with no ** for the valve to come in. Once it came in, the person that brought the valve out to repair the ** said the ac was fine and didnt need it. A week later our ac broke again and they said it was the valve AND condenser. Had to wait 10 days for those parts to come in. They repaired. Then 3 weeks later our ** is broken for a 3rd time. They would not perform a same day service and are refusing to give us a new ** despite poor quality repairs and faulty original unit that goes against our warranty signed. It had been impossible to get ahold of a supervisor and the one time they have called, they left the generic hotline to call back on so we havent even had anyone from management contact us.Business Response

I contacted this company with an issue with my air conditioner, had a gentleman name ****** arrive, he does his inspection and tells me that I need to replace my motor and my contactor, he leaves to go get the parts, comes back, installs the parts, and then AFTER the installation proceeds to tell me that the motor he installed was too powerful for my air conditioning, he said he tested it, and it was running , immediately after, I turn on my air conditioning to the loudest banging possible due to him forgetting to put a s**** back in, not sure how he tested it without hearing that sound, he comes back the next day with the correct size motor, installs it and left without any notification or verifying that the air conditioning is running properly, I go outside to check his work, and the air conditioning is still shaking and sounds terrible, I contact the company and they say theyre going to send someone else out, lets fast forward a week due to availability issues, a gentleman arrives to fix whatever mistakes the prior employee made, the new employee tells me that now the motor and fan need replaced, mind you this is the new motor that was already installed that now needs replaced and the fan was a result of the overpowered motor shaking my air conditioning for so long, the new employee then tells me that it was the manufacturers fault and that we would need to wait because he does not have the parts to fix it yet again, I called the company again to complain That two employees have been out, and no one can seem to fix my air-conditioning, the company then tells me that they can have another person come out later that day with the part that magically appeared, then they proceed to tell me that the motor they installed prior was only temporary, this was never stated once by anyone by the company and is nowhere on my paperwork, this companys communication is atrocious, and the dishonesty is unbelievable, I will never recommend this company to anyoneBusiness Response

We had our AC replaced in January of 2024 by Semper Fi. the salesman that came to **, was very knowledgeable and friendly, however promises were made that we not kept. We were told it would be to the digression of the installers if electric dampers would be needed as we were having issues with our prior unit cooling all areas of the house. This was included in the cost either way, which was odd, and should have been a red flag. Day of install - they already had to replace the coil assembly in the attic from their brand new unit. After completion, very poor airflow in the 2nd floor bedrooms and bathrooms, all of which within 12 feet from the unit in the attic. Air was cold that barely trickled through, so we were told it would be up to supervisor to decide to install the dampers. They came back after complaining, made some adjustments to the sizes of the opening in the plenum, but barely made a difference. This year, the condenser plug blew out the back side of the outside unit. Took 2-3 days to repair. when they came out to see what was wrong and order parts they dented the sides of the outer unit, the top of the unit they apparently put upside-down on the rocks, looks like it got shoved around, there are scratches, chips of paint missing and is now rusting. About a month later, we had no air again the coil needed to be replaced again as it was installed incorrectly by them. Finally, after calling multiple times, and going to their office, they agreed to repair/replace damage items cause by them on the outside unit. They replaced or repaired the sides, but left the top cover as it was, scratched, chipped and rusting. Guests no longer wish to visit because the spare bedrooms are too hot, and our child rarely sleeps in his own room because it is too hit. His room vent is the closest, maybe 6 feet from the air handler. Outside unit sounds like a lawnmower when running ( were told it sounds normal) but our 18 year old unit they replaced was quieter.Business Response

June 23rd, Semper Fi came out to do a routine maintenance check on our A/C system. The techinican K performed said maintenance and said everything was in good condition.July 18th, air handler stopped working due to loose insulation panal blocking blower intake and burning out the motor. Semper Fi technician K diagnosed problem and suggested we order OEM replacement. Turns out to be back ordered and delivery date pushed to July 30th.Paid Semper Fi techinician K $600 to install truck stock motor in order to get system running for the time being. Technician K said he, wired the motor to run continuously. We have a Home Generation Use plan with SRP after installing solar panels back in 2020. The system is billed based off usage for peak and off-peak hours and adds a demand charge.July 31st, ********* has arrived but Technician K informs us that the replacement motor needed a wire harness to reconnect to our system and was not included in the ********* order.Technician K had inexcusably CUT the original wire harness rather than unplugging it because admittingly, he did not know any better.August 8th, Technician J informs us he cannot find wire harness anywhere and has ordered part.August 11th, wire harness is on back order until 8/15/2025.August 18th, technician R arrives with wire harness and motoris unable to connect system because an additional wire harness for the low voltage was required and was also inexcusibly removed and never re-ordered.August 20th, technician L picks up low-voltage wire harness and installs OEM replacement motor correctly. ***2 MONTHS LATER!!!***Our energy bills spiked for those 2 months and per Semper Fis request, proof was sent to Semper Fi customer care(copies of our monthly bill year over year)who did NOTHING to reimburse us for the charges we accrued because of their incompetence! We have a newborn and this caused numerous disruptions to his schedule. $600 for part $97 for bill increaseBusiness Response

Purchased new mini split air conditioner 10/30/23. This was a new supplemental unit for an area that had poor airflow and cooling that could not be resolved - this was a poor home builder design issue, had nothing to do with this company. Ever since the install, the unit has had issues during the second half of each summer. The recurring symptom is high humidity out of system specs. The indoor coil was replaced near end of the first summer. The *** has been replaced each summer now, 1st and 2nd. The refrigerant has been replaced both *******. The indoor fan is currently on its slowest level. This is the 2nd summer now, I contacted them about a month ago about high humidity out of spec'd range and the issue is still not resolved. The warranty supervisor I was communicating with stopped responding over a week ago now. I have called customer service multiple times with a promise of calls from another warranty supervisor, those have not occurred. I have told the warranty supervisor and provided screenshots of the unit not holding the spec'd humidity. I have text messages from the first warranty supervisor that mentions he thinks the unit is running too shortly to remove any humidity. The timing may be unfortunate, but at the point were the solution is pointing to unit replacement, I have been stonewalled. One of three issues is the cause, 1 - the unit is unfortunately a bad lemon, 2 - the install was done incorrectly, 3 - the unit is improperly sized. I am trying to work with them to get this issue resolved, but I feel they have become unresponsive. This may also be unfortunate timing, but I fear they are delaying any further action until the summer winds down, when they can claim the systemic problem appears to not be an issue anymore.Business Response

August 1st a Semper Fi ***air person came to do a $49.99 Freon ***lacement. I have 2 HV**s. The *** insisted one of the 2 ** units needed ***laced due to energy efficiency. I was quoted $14,100. For 1 unit. A 15.5 sear 4 ton HV** based on our sq footage was required for the downstairs of our home. Work was completed on 8/2/25 and paid in full with check and they returned 2 hours later to get tools they forgot and we explained the ** was not working, the tech told us to wait 24 hours. We called on 8/4/25 as the ** was not blowing. They sent a expert out on 8/6/25 to trouble shoot. This expert sd the new thermostat was not hooked up properly and found no other issues. Meanwhile, no cooling. I called on 8/9/25 as the ** was still not working, and it was taxing my other ** unit upstairs to help cool the downstairs, driving our utility bill up and wearing out our older unit. The new ** was running but not cooling at all. Several attempts to get someone to come out, they promsied a time, we waited 8 hours and no one showed and wanted to come at midnight, so we declined to the next day and it wasn't until 8/11/25 late afternoon when the new tech ***laced the motor. Now 8/24/25, we called again because the unit is still not cooling the downstairs. I asked on 8/9/25 to speak to ***** the owner, and I have not heard from anyone. We believe we were sold a bad HV** unit and want a brand new one installed. One that works properly of course. We will never use this company again. Additionally, on 8/4/25 we were told that our warranty and rebate would be couriered to us and we still do not have the paperwork. They also left Gray mud on our new carpeting and left old coil and parts in our attic per the ** guy and he never removed the garbage either, as they promised when we were sold this bill of goods. The items are still in the attic. They said they had no vacuum and so we had to clean up their mess, including fiberglass.Business Response

I contracted Semper Fi to install a brand-new HVAC unit on 6/6/25. I was impressed with the sales consultants professionalism and booked on the spot. I was told payment would be split (half upon scheduling, half upon completion), yet the full $8K was withdrawn before installation began. No written contract or invoice was provided. From day one, the install was mishandledlasting 14+ hours, done by a trainee, and with no communication or oversight. A technician admitted it shouldve been a two-day job. They left a hole in my ceiling without warning; drywall repair was delegated to a third party with weeks-long delays, leaving my new AC cooling the outdoors.Within weeks, I had hissing, leaks, and failures. Multiple techs (most unfamiliar with the unit type) have been dispatched, but issues persist: poor drainage, incorrect piping pitch, refrigerant overcharge, compressor failure, and repeated water damage. Instead of a true fix, I was given temporary workarounds. Ive lost multiple workdays to emergency ********* of 7/30/25, my ceiling leaked multiple times in a week. I was told to shut the unit off while waiting for an unknown part. The eventual fix was a pump, but the tech admitted the unit was never installed correctlymeaning if this bandaid fails, leaks will return. A month later, no drywall repair has been done, and after two months of water pooling above my ceiling, theres no guarantee mold hasnt formed.Despite repeated calls and emails for restitution, the system remains unreliable, installation incomplete, and the disruption ongoing. I am seeking resolution through the BBB after over two months of failed attempts to resolve directly with Semper Fi, as this now also poses a potential health hazard from mold.Business Response

We are currently working with ********, we have a supervisor going out to identify and resolve the issues.Customer Answer
Date: 08/13/2025
Sending yet another technician does not resolve the underlying issues. The field supervisor you sent is the third staff member to confirm that the installation was never done correctly. He even indicated that another crew would need to revisit and reinstall the air handler-further disrupting my time-because the original installation was improper.
This does not address the potential mold in my ceiling or the drywall repair, which I was told had a request submitted on 7/9. It has now been five weeks with no repair and further separation of the ceiling.
At this point, the unit must either be fully reinstalled, inspected for mold, and the drywall repaired promptly at no cost to me, or I request that the unit be removed and my payment refunded.Business Response

We were out on 8-15-2025, we removed and reinstalled the indoor air handler. The unit is functioning properly, the leak has been repaired. We have our drywall contractor going out on 8-19-2025 to check for needed drywall repair and any issues with mold.
