I saw an online ad for a cat toy I wanted at a reasonable price with a Discount if buying 2. Site seemed legitimate with lengthy spiel about moving from Canada now doing much better with Several Sellers, Talk to real person. Etc So I placed an order. Tried to check on price involved & inadvertently placed Another Order. Attempted to contact Seller & was told Order had already shipped so no changes possible. Emailed back a few days later to get an ETA on my Order. No reply. Tried again, was told Order was prepped for shipping. Tried requesting a tracking #. No reply. Different person's name on each response- Jess/ Caroline etc. Tried again today & no reply.

I saw an ad on television for an AI powered dog toy. I went to the website and placed my order for 1 dog at a deeply discounted price ($38.00). When I checked out and put my credit card information in, the website automatically and without my permission added another dog (unit) to my order. The cost of the second item was $31.00. The order was confirmed and the monies were immediately charged to my credit card on 12/12/25. On 12/17 I inquired when the item would be shipped and asked for tracking info. All I got back from "Vince" were vague references in order to misdirect and put me off. I asked for the shipping confirmation and tracking info. 3 times, and each time was told they could not provide that information. I immediately contacted my credit card company and they have refunded the charges pending investigating the issue. I am certainly embarrassed that I fell for this scam. I am smarter than this, but I fell for the idea of such an adorable toy for my grandchild. I cannot believe that this product was advertised on television (YouTube). YouTube should be responsible for monitoring the validity of these websites!

Counterfeit Product - Online Retailer Scam - TikTok Ads

They promote a state of the art top of the line drone even labeled as a DJI name brand drone on video on TikTok with a sales button. The advertisement show many different options that were not provided, what was received was a toy that is not even half the size of what was shown in the advertisement. It didn't have most of the options depicted in the advertisement. Worst part is it proclaimed a 30 day no questions asked return policy and they covering return shipping! They have so far refused to refund me completely and have offered as much as 20% refund. Not acceptable.

Counterfeit Product - Telegelam

I was on TikTok and continued to see the cute little robot puppies ad, so I decided to purchase. The dogs were $39.99 for one brown and one white one. The lady at telegelam took $72.09 instead of the $39.99 advertised so I complained and got that that extra $22+ money back. They supposedly shipped the dogs and the post office didn’t deliver them to me, because they didn’t put sufficient postage on the package in China so I complained again and got more money back! It took so long for them to ship the dogs, and she was already trying to scam me so I told my bank I want ALL my money back! Telegelam gave me this fake apology and said they would still ship the robot dogs and sent me two fake little toy dogs that run by batteries! The REAL robot dogs are “ lifelike” and are rechargeable!!!! Don’t buy ANYTHING from Telegelam!!!! You will mostly spot her ads on TikTok and she might even try to change her name. By the way I asked her name several times and she wouldn’t give it to me!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Failure to Provide Promised Registration Documents I purchased a toy poodle from a business operating as Fancy Toy Poodles. At the time of purchase, I signed a document stating that I would receive the dog’s registration paperwork within 90 days. That time frame has now passed, and I have not received any registration documents. Since the purchase, the business has made no meaningful attempts to follow up or communicate with me regarding the status of the paperwork. The only communication I received was several months ago, when a young woman associated with the business stated that registration documents are “processed on Saturdays.” No further explanation, timeline, or documentation was provided. Despite multiple months passing beyond the agreed 90-day period, I have not received the promised registration, nor have I been contacted with updates, delays, or a resolution plan. This experience raises concerns about misrepresentation and lack of transparency. Potential buyers should be cautious, obtain all registration documents at the time of purchase, and verify breeder legitimacy and registration processes before completing a transaction.

A very cute Christmas present! After 6 weeks I was sure it was a scam. But a package did show up but the puppy was a very cheap toy that did nothing like what was advertised. It has an on and off switch which makes a kind of barking noise but never stops until turned off. The website would keep returning to the order page making you think it did not go through but was adding more and more onto your order. The phone number puts you on hold for 15 to 20 minutes then has a message that it is easier to use the email and hangs up on you. The email bounces back as undeliverable. It is a scam, don't buy it. the address on the site: UAB Rara Digital, Gedimino pr., 20, Vilnius, Lithuania

Online Purchase - Product Not As Advertised/Refusal to Honor Refund Policy

Bought a toy for Christmas. Was a model set with 4 trucks, play drill and screwdriver, play mat with street signs, instructions to construct the trucks and extra pieces. Received 4 trucks already put together in a plastic bag and a 2" plastic screwdriver. Found this item on another website and it was selling for 19.99. I think they bought this item and then resold it for 49.00. Tried contacting them and phone # does not work. Emailed them and after a few weeks got a reply that they can only give me a 10% discount. Have been going back and forth with this company for a few weeks now and was told they cannot issue me a refund of 100%,. They are up to 70% which would be the price of the original item that they paid for it. Looked at some other reviews from customers and on person posted a picture of the same item I received. I checked the website to make sure it was secure before paying. The website given was https://www.melissadougtoy.com. I placed the order with a credit card and luckily printed the order confirmation page from the website. I never received an email confirmation. I ordered an 'interactive' toy dog. Advertisement said 'Your Child's New Best Friend: Meet The Pet of The Future" First robot puppy that learns and plays with your child. Walks, barks, sits and runs with lifelike motion. Wags, nods, and "smiles" back in response. AI-powered adaptive behavior. Ready to play out of the box. Videos showed children playing with the dog. The dog appears to be the size of a large cat. In the video, they said just push the button on the dog's side to start 'training' it. The dog interacts with the children in the video. What I got was a 5 inch tall toy. When I put batteries in the toy and turned it on, the legs moved back and forth and there was a barking noise. There was no way to interact with the toy. There was no button on the side. That's all it did.

Ordered two toy puppies from a seemingly legit online vendor. The site is listed within this report. My delivery date was scheduled for 12/5 . I tried contacting the vendor 12/9 after not receiving my order. Their contact number on my billing statement was listed as coming from California and it was out of service. I went to the order site and sent a message to the email support. I received a very generic message back with what was allegedly my tracking number. I tracked the number and found out the order was never shipped. I sent a message back to the support group stating this and I want my order canceled.I received a message backfrom them stating that the tracking information indicated my order was dispatched and I could not get a refund. I called the helpline voice number listed on the siteand spoke to three different dispatchers that told me the same thing. I could not get a refund because my order had been dispatched. Ipointed out that the order had not been dispatched and never left. I also pointed out. The country of origin was listed as the US and the tracking indicates China. After telling them I was going to report them to my credit card company (********) and to the US BBB they reimbursed my payment.

My Experience with the Phone Case Order I ordered a cellphone cover for a Samsung S25 Ultra from a site on Facebook for $33.25 plus tax and shipping. After waiting over three weeks, I finally received the phone case, but it was for a different model—a Samsung S25, which is a smaller size and would not fit. I had to contact PayPal to get in touch with the seller, and I informed the seller that I wanted either the correct cover shipped to me or a refund for my money. The seller wanted me to return the item to an address in China at my expense, but I refused because the cost to me to return the item would be over $75.00. I filed a complaint with PayPal but ended it when the best they would do was require me to send the item back to China, even though it was shipped from Los Angeles, CA. Information About the "Gichael Lichael" Scam The "Gichael Lichael" scam is a widespread online shopping "bait-and-switch" fraud that specifically uses 220 W 21st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007 as a fake return address. If I received a package from this name/address, or if a seller is telling me to return an item there, I am likely being scammed. How the Scam Works The Hook: I order a product from a social media ad (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) or a sketchy website. The item looks high-quality or is sold at a "too good to be true" price (e.g., designer clothes, realistic toys, tools, or electronics). The Switch: Instead of the item I ordered, I receive something completely different and virtually worthless. Common reports include: a cheap plastic toy (like a small whistle or trinket), a single spoon or utensil, a cheap pair of sunglasses, an empty or damaged envelope, or a random packet of seeds. The Deception: The package has a return address of "Gichael Lichael" (or sometimes "Gighael Lichael") at 220 W 21st St, Los Angeles, CA 90007. This is done to: Trick the System: It generates a valid US tracking number so the scammer can prove to PayPal or my bank that "an item was delivered." Hide the Origin: The item usually ships from overseas (often China), but this address makes it look like a domestic US shipment. Why They Use This Address It's a Ghost Address: As identified in a previous search, 220 W 21st Street is a commercial warehouse that has been vacant or for lease. The "Return Trap": If I complain to the seller, they will often say, "We will refund you, but you must return the item to our warehouse at your own expense first." Shipping the item back to this address (with tracking) is often expensive. Since the building is vacant or not actually associated with the seller, the package will likely be refused or lost. The scammer then claims they never received the return and denies my refund. What I Should Do (Action Plan) I should NOT send the item back to that address. It is a waste of money. Instead, I should take these steps immediately: Photograph Everything: I must take clear photos of the shipping label (showing the "Gichael Lichael" name, if present), the packaging, and the worthless item I received. Dispute with My Bank/Credit Card: I need to log into my credit card or bank portal and file a dispute.
