Online Purchase - OOFOS US

A deal was offered on Facebook, looks like a prime day ad for OOFOS shoes and uses the Shape magazine logo to suggest the shoes won a 2023 "Best in Fitness" award. I ordered 3 pair of shoes. I have not received them. There is now a post on Facebook warning that this offer is a scam. My credit card shows the company out of London (Appears on statement as: RH *oofoam.co London GBR WC1V 6NX GBR), but the Facebook post says the oofoam dot com domain is registered from China on July 13, 2023.

Facebook ad to get Oofos shoes for $19.99 through Amazon Prime Day. The website i was sent to looks like the website for Oofos. However, i later found out that this website is oofoam.co, not oofos.com. After waiting a long time they sent me a tracking number and eventually the pkg was delivered to Alaska. I live in CA. After trying to get in touch with them through the only contact info they offered, [email protected], i went to the Oofos website and told them what happened. They told me it was a scam. I contacted my bank to get the charge reversed.

Online Purchase - Oofos US

Ad on Facebook for Oofo shoe sale imitating Amazon Prime Day special. Site was very convincing. Ordered 2 pair of shoes. Provided address & paid with bank debit card…bank did question purchase, but I confirmed it was ok. Received an email from: [email protected] with pictures, price, & tracking number. Shipment from China. Used Track718 one-stop quick tracking. Details were in Chinese, but it was clear pkg had arrived in Los Angeles, CA. Said it arrived at point of destination. I thought this was at a USPS hub. It indicates it should be picked up. When tracking number is entered into USPS website-it indicates pkg was delivered to Alaska. I live in Idaho.

Pecron llc offered 2 day sale at $ 1,199 of their product EB 3000 valid 7- 11 and 7-12. Trying to order on 7-11 the price changed to $ 1,399.00. Contacting the company this is their answer: " I'm sorry I need to explain it to you. Because the EB3000 model is currently a best seller., there isn't a lot of stock left at the moment. That's why we canceled the EB3000 early for the PRIME DAY discount. If you buy one EB3000, the current product page shows the final price." Clearly false advertisement and pricd gauging.

I received a text message on an "Amazon Prime Day" (Aug. 12, 2022) saying My "Prime membership" could not be completed. It included a link so that I could view the error and update my information. It did not mention "Amazon". It came with a "secure https://" link for me to click. I knew it was a fake because my Prime membership renewal occurs in a different month, and I regularly use a saved credit card at that site. I had used it in the past week, and received my order the day before I received the text, so I knew nothing was wrong with my payment method. I don't know how they got an https:// address, and that confused me. I did not click on their link, but went to the site to ensure that my information was okay, and it was. Here's the message I received from 1-669-338-8883: "Prime Membership - The renewal of your subscription could not be completed. Please log to your account to view the error received and update your information to avoid any interruption of services. https://notificationmembership.com"

I was shopping for a Ninja Foodi on amazon prime day. It was on sale. Then I found it even more discounted on the website www.ninja-overstock.com. The website looked like it was a part of the Ninja website, and because it was Amazon Prime day, it made sense that the appliance was on sale. When I went to purchase it, there was an error on the webpage and the item remained in my cart. I could not tell if the purchase went through. The website used paypal for the purchase. According to my paypal account, I had been charged, but it was difficult to tell if the sale went through on the actual website. I wanted to make sure that it did (and that the website was legit - because at this point it was feeling less legit). I reached out to the seller to make sure that he had my address and that the item would be shipped to me, and that the sale did go through. He never responded to my message. I submitted a dispute with paypal because of this. After a few days, the seller submitted a tracking number to paypal as proof that I had received the item I ordered (which I had not). At that point, paypal sided with the seller and closed the dispute. I saw this late at night so could not do anything about it on that day. I looked up the tracking number, which did show that something had been delivered to a front porch in the city and zip code where I reside, but that was all the info that it gave (aside from a time and date stamp). I have a Ring camera on my front porch. There was no delivery at that time or any time around it. The next morning I went to my local post office with the tracking number. The postmaster looked up and saw that the package linked to that tracking number was an 8 ounce package delivered to an address across town - not my address. The appliance I ordered, by the way, is 26.04 pounds (that isn't including shipping weight). Armed with this information, I was able to call paypal and have them reopen the claim. I did get my money back, so in the end I am not out money. I still want the scammer looked into, because I feel that not everyone would go to my lengths to prove they had been scammed. I hope they would! But I fear they wouldn't, and I do not want these people getting away with this. I am angry that they did this. If they did this to me, I know they are doing this to many others. Also, using USPS tracking numbers in that way I believe would be a different federal crime. I just want them to get shut down, and I want to help in any way. I have the tracking information if needed. Thank you for your time.

Phishing - Amazon Impostor

I initially got a text about my delivery from USPS was changed. So, I had opened it and it appeared as Amazon getting my order, and it was also Amazon Prime Day, which told me to enter my survey afterwards. Then it said that I had a won an iPad, and then took me to another website saying that, all they needed was $1 for delivery of the prize. So, I entered my card information and proceeded with it. There was a timer at the top, which made me rush it, without second guessing what was going on. Afterwards is when I read on it and found out that there is apparently this scam that has been going on. So, this is why I had decided to report it.

Company sent an invoice for TV valued at $5,799.99. Had a number to call to cancel order. I gave them a call and they said it was in my daughter's name. Had her call them and then they asked her for a $200 deposit for the TV. The invoice has the wrong address for me. Looks like it was from Amazon Prime Day.

Phishing - Amazon.com Spoof

A man with an Indian accent contacted me on my cell phone, started by saying he was calling from Amazon about recent purchases to my account totaling over $1,000.00 and he wanted to verify I made the purchase. The man started by asking to verify my name, address, and phone number. I began to question him about why he would be calling me when Amazon contacts me by email, text, or through the Amazon.com app. The man began to get rude, because I would not fully verify my address and I kept questioning his intent. After partially verifying my address he proceeded and told me purchases were made under my account that need to be verified and he asked for my banking information. At that time I told him Amazon does not contact me by phone, remove me from the call list, and I will not be providing any banking or credit card info to him. The man then started to make sexual comments, moaning my name, and saying how sexy my voice is. That went on for about one minute until he realized I was not responding and he hung up. This was very disturbing to say the least and needs to be investigated. (Please note I normally shop using Amazon.com, and recent purchase made on Prime Day was Oct. 13th-14th)

Received an e-fax form Travel Center advertising "Friends and Family Prime Day Sale!!" Contacted 1-866-529-9756 to inquire about the vacation deal 4days/3nights to Aruba roundtrip airfare included for $189.98 per person. Spoke to Ryan originally to request information and receive payment to begin the process. I was advised after paying the intial fees to include taxes I would receive a information packet from the travel agent to book my trip. Ryan also stated the monies I spent would go towards the vacation. (see attachment) Further conversations with Fun Time Vacations took place, where I was asked to complete a booking form and send an additional payment for processing and all other monies would go towards the trip. Unfortunately, that did not take place and information that was sent is very misleading, and contradictory to what is disclose in the so-called contract agreement. I have communicated with both companies over the phone and via email discussing my vacation options and availability. However, have been unsuccessful with receiving accurate and truthful information as to how the funds have been applied to the account. On Feb 23, 2016 an inquiry was made regarding the cost and the travel dates...I contacted the company Fun Times to discuss my concerns regarding the trip summary. Nonetheless, the person I spoke to over the phone was very rude and stated it was nothing further they could do regarding making changes to the initial reservation. I expressed my intent to file a complaint and report their business practices as fraud and misleading. I was then advised to contact customer service which is actually the Travel Center and was told by a representative at the company, because I stated, an attorney will be contacted and the BBB, there was nothing further they could do to assist me....the phone disconnected, as I was demanding a full refund. Please Note: In their contract agreement, it reads there is no affiliation with any other vacation company agreement. However, ironically both companies are located in the same building and operate under the same scam premises to fraud individuals out of money, charging ridiculous fees that are not a part of the vacation package that is advertised (FALSE ADVERTISEMENT) This is an act of COLLUSION and FRAUD!!! I have lost estimated 400-500 USD
